The apartment was nicely, appointed and clean, if a little dated in the kitchen and bathrooms. Still, for the money, it was large and had good flow. "

Two bedroom townhome each with a full private bath . This rental is an early checkin at 12:00 pm without any additional charge!. Next door to community pool and tennis courts and a short walk to the beach! Enjoy sitting out on one of the three decks in the early morning to plan your fun filled day. OCEANFRONT, 3rd fl. condo in the heart of Duck, NC is just minutes from the beach, shops, restaurants and public bike paths in this charming town. New flooring, appliances, fully stocked kitchen, and comfortable bedding compliment this vacation retreat! Amenities include a community pool, dune top deck, and community boardwalk to the beach. Comfortable and spacious living area for 5. Large 10X14 deck great for enjoying morning coffee relaxing. Tennis, pickle/basket ball and Playground for kids.

Welcome to our condo. My wife and I have been hosts on Airbnb for 7 years as we also host the unit below this one in unit 206. This unit is oceanfront and the building sits 100 feet from the beach. The views are amazing.

We are located 3/4 of a mile from some of the best restaurants, it's an easy 10-15 minute walk. The other end of duck is about 2 miles, so it makes for a great walk, there is also plenty of parking if you don't want to walk. Tons of shopping, a boardwalk, restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream and fishing that you can walk to everyday. The town is easy to fall in love with. There are nice bike paths and walking paths through the town of Duck.

This condo has been completely updated in the last 2 years. It's 684 sq ft. It has an oceanfront deck view that is a great place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. There will be times that you will see dolphins from your deck. The living room has a smart TV and is comfortable for 4 people. There is a queen size pullout couch. The kitchen is fully stocked and updated. The master has a kingsized bed and a full master bath.

You could not ask for a better location with spectacular views. Watch the dolphins from the kitchen, living room or enlarged deck. Great space for a quiet relaxing vacation.

You will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases, towels and any other linens you may need.... or order them through Atlantic rentals or Moneys Worth Beach Rentals. I understand this is unlike most other airbnb spaces but, this is the norm in the outer banks. Most people choose to bring their own linens.

When it comes to linens, you have 2 choices, you can bring your own which most people do or you can rent linens locally from Atlantic Rentals or Moneysworth beach rentals. Both companies will deliver and pickup your linens. Atlantic beach rentals and moneys worth beach rentals are two companies that I recommend. There are pillows and comforters in the condo. You will need pillow cases, sheets, towels and any other type of linen you may need.

Starting with the 2nd week of June and running through August is the in season. This condo rents out from Friday to Friday during the in season... with few exceptions. Feel free message me with with any exceptions that you may need.

- "As the title says it was very comfy and cozy. Having two bathrooms was a great feature. It’s only a couple minutes walk to the beach. The deck was our favorite place to sit, relax and eat our meals. Living room is well decorated and well lit for reading. All in all perfect for a couple. The kitchen is well equipped but a little crowded for more than one cook. Although my wife and I like lots of elbow room while preparing our food. We highly recommend staying there!!"

Duck is a gorgeous and fun little town. It is highlighted as one of the most charming summer beach vacations on the east coast. Our family has been coming here for over 40 years. It has always been a dream for us to own a little piece of heaven here in Duck and it finally came true! We love it here and enjoy sharing our tranquil waterfront home with other families.

You will be staying in our dream home and we take care of it as such. What that means is that we keep everything updated and include free amenities the whole family can enjoy. You will arrive to a kitchen with all the appliances you need. The silverware, dinnerware, and utensils are renewed each season so you can enjoy meals with your family as you would at home. The shed is stocked with everything you need to enjoy the beach and the sound including but not limited to chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, bikes, and boogie boards. You do not have to haul things here from home or pay for additional rentals and purchases. It is all already here for you so you can simply relax and enjoy.

After all the years we’ve been coming to the outer banks, we believe we found the perfect waterfront vacation spot and our guests have told us time and time again that they love it here and that we are by far the best value for waterfront accommodations in Duck. - "It's a nice place, 4-5 mins walk to the beach. Is about half a mile to Duck Town centre." - "I will say upfront it is a stone’s throw to the beach and just under a mile to Duck. The property was clean and could be ideal for some. The cons are the pool was under construction so unusable in May 2022. Weather probably wouldn’t have allowed anyway so not a big deal. The unit itself needs work that makes it an uncomfortable stay. The bedroom with the green bench faces the ocean. The week we were there was unseasonably cold and windy. The patio door let all that cold air in and the entire room rattled with each gust. The green bathroom is poorly painted wall paper and the toilet is unleveled based on water from previous guests leaking out of the shower and rotting the floor. You can see in the living room where it leaked down to ceiling and was patched. The shower is from a cheap motel, moldy shower head and broken shower curtain. Also no working vent fan. Bedroom number two was better but same painted wallpaper in bath. We found a bed bug carcass in there after turning on the hvac. Thankfully no signs of them otherwise. Downstairs the bathroom has one of those toilets that needs to be flicked to stop running and a loud vent fan. Kitchen has everything you need for an extended stay. Pub table was not ideal for 3 year old with us. We found cockroach carcass in bathroom and dog hair everywhere which means it hadn't been cleaned for our stay. The washer was good but dryer did not work. Had to run several cycles to get clothes dry. Ruined better part of a day going up and down checking to no avail. Bottom line: there are better options, maybe next store. If you like the location look for another unit. A final note: i booked through Vrbo but property is managed by Resorts Realty so why pay VRBO a fee? My mistake. Resorts Realty sends a form with different prices than Vrbo. Their form has a bug in it that made me accept early check in. Still not sure if I was ripped off but feels like it. Also they had a maintenance guy show up while we were there to replace air filters. Cant that wait a day til we check out? This is honest, constructive criticism for the owner and management. I do not wish to be contacted further"

This unique 24-acre resort property located right on the edge of the Town of Duck, NC, sits between the Ocean and the Sound, and offers access to both. This is arguably one of the best locations in the Outer Banks for convenience and walking / biking proximity to multiple activities and dining options.

This property has one of the largest outdoor pools on OBX and a Recreation Center with Indoor Pool, Hot Tub, Sauna, Exercise Room, and Activity Room.

THE SPACE

This is a two level 2BR/2BA unit located in the 100 Building on the 1st floor. One of the nice features of this unit is that is has a partial view of Currituck Sound from the outdoor deck.

1st Level - Full Kitchen with Stove, Oven, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Blender, etc. Sit up bar / 3 stools, Dining Table / 6 chairs, Family room with Loveseat and Sleeper sofa, Fireplace, Full Bathroom w/shower, Deck w / scenic view and a partial view of Currituck Sound.

2nd Level - Master Bedroom with King bed, 2nd Bedroom with 2 Twins, Full Size Bathroom, Utility Room with Washer / Dryer.

This 2BR unit at approximately 1,100sq ft and is rated to sleep six (6) to eight (8) persons. There is a Washer / Dryer inside your unit.

GARDEN / SOUND VIEW CATEGORY:

While the resort itself is Beachfront this specific unit is located in the 100 Building (see property map in the pictures section) and is closer to the Sound than the Beach.

From your 1st floor unit you have one Deck, with room for the entire family, and a partial view of Currituck Sound.

It is possible to walk to the Resort’s private Beach access, but since this is a large 24+acre property that stretches from Sound to the Ocean, it can be a longer walk to the beach from certain sections of the resort versus other areas.

If you have a lot of beach gear, or small children, it might not be practical to walk to the beach from this unit in the summer heat (between 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile depending on unit location). Your best option might be to drive to the parking area right near the Outdoor Pool and Beach access. This private parking area is reserved for Resort guests where you can conveniently drop off your family and gear, or even park in the spaces provided if one is available.

STAIRS / ACCESSIBILITY:

Most properties in OBX have a certain number of stairs, so that buildings are elevated and protected in case of potential flooding that could be caused by hurricanes or major storms.

Almost all the units at this resort have a certain number of stairs leading to the Front Door of the unit. Some have interior stairs to a 2nd level, or depending on the specific unit configuration, as few stairs up or down to one of the bedrooms inside the unit. The number of stairs varies depending on the specific unit configuration, and whether the unit is considered first floor, second floor, or third floor. Typically the higher you go the better your view is from the outdoor decks and windows.

BIS-Duck Resort will provide assistance carrying your luggage / baggage to your unit if you would like some help.

UNIT INTERIORS:

This property was originally constructed in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Recently a $8+ Million dollar renovation project was started, and expected to be completed in phases.

Until the entire renovation is completed, resulting in every unit interior being renovated, you will find most unit interiors are spacious and comfortable but very dated with decor from the late 1980's or early 1990's.

While personally I would describe this overall property as very laid back, relaxed, and comfortable, it is important to note that these units definitely have more of a rustic, almost like a dated cabin at the beach type feel, with older furniture and carpets. Hopefully the photos provided give you a general understanding for what I am describing.

The benefits offered by this resort are the overall amenities, including one of the largest Outdoor Pool areas on OBX, private Guest access to a nice Beach, and a Recreation Center offering an Indoor Pool, Hot Tub, Workout Room, and Activity Room.

Please note that this specific unit is VERY dated. If this unit was renovated the nightly rate would be quite a bit higher. Many families enjoy their annual vacations at this property, however if you are a traveler that requires more luxurious accommodations, this may not be the right choice for you, and you might want to consider one of the more expensive listings on VRBO.

I am not trying to sound negative, because personally we enjoy this property for what it is, not what it isn't. I just want to make sure your expectations match reality. If you have any specific questions on this, please don't hesitate to ask.

GUEST ACCESS

Your unit is private, but since this is a Resort property, Amenities will be shared with other guests (Pools, Beach, Recreation Center, Outdoor Games, common grounds, etc).

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

- Primary Guest checking in must be at least 21 years of age with a valid ID and credit card for security deposit. If a security deposit is required, it will be returned to you after Check Out if you have not made any charges to your room.

- Barrier Island Station – Duck is professionally managed and operated by Capital Vacations. The Front Desk is staffed for Check-In, Check-Out, and is available for any questions, issues, or need for assistance during your stay.

- Check In time is 4:00pm and check out time is 10:00am. Please check with the resort Front Desk for any possibility of earlier unit availability and / or early use of the resort amenities during check-in days.

- Late Check In: The Front Desk / Office is open from 8am to 7pm. If you arrive after those hours you can go to the Security office and get access to your unit. Then the following morning you will need to go to the office by 11am to get officially signed in and receive your parking passes, information, etc.

- Please note that once you Check In and get access to your unit, if you encounter any issues or concerns regarding Housekeeping, Maintenance, etc…please contact the Front Desk / Office IMMEDIATELY. The staff members on-site provide the best opportunity to get any concerns resolved in the fastest and most efficient manner.

- Two (2) FREE parking passes are included with this unit, which you will receive from the Front Desk at Check In. If you need parking for an additional vehicle you can arrange this directly with the Front Desk.

- Bedding linens, including blankets, sheets, and pillows are provided. However, if have you have any favorites blankets or pillows, or if you sleep better using a certain type of pillow, it would be good to bring your own.

- Please especially take note of the detail above about bed coverings. BIS-Duck provides Blankets but does NOT provide the heavier, bulkier Comforters that you may have on your bed at home. The Blankets on the beds should be fine for most families, but you could bring an extra Blanket or Comforter if you have any concerns about that.

- If you plan on using the Sleeper sofas during your stay, I definitely recommend bringing your own sheets, pillows, and blankets, maybe even a mattress pad for the Sleeper sofa specifically, which can be turned into a very comfortable extra bed. Also plan accordingly if your unit has multiple sleeper sofas (bringing 2 sets of sheets, pillows, blankets, etc).

- Bath and Hand towels are provided for you and will be inside your unit when you arrive.

- There is no daily housekeeping provided. However, your unit does have its own Washer / Dryer in the unit that is for your use only. If additional housekeeping is desired during your stay, it is available for an additional fee scheduled directly with the resort Front Desk.

- Each Unit will receive a "Starter Package" at Check In. Your unit will have basic supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, detergent, etc to get you thru the first day or two of your stay. I recommend you definitely be prepared for this by bringing your own supplies in these categories based on what you feel you will need for the week (especially if there are specific brands you favor). Also don’t forget any cleaning products if you want them (cleaners, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, etc). There are grocery stores conveniently located in Kitty Hawk, Duck, and Corolla if you want to shop for any groceries or personal items you want during your stay.

- Pool / Beach towels are not provided. Each family should bring their own pool / beach towels

- You should bring your own Beach Chairs / Beach Blankets / Umbrellas / Coolers / Equipment you want to use on the beach. If you don’t bring your own stuff, you are able to rent Beach chairs / Umbrellas in the Town of Duck, or during most summer weeks on the beach out in front of the facility.

- The new H2OBX Waterpark recently built in Powell's Point is only about 15 miles away

- If you or any members of your family enjoy bike riding, I strongly recommend taking your own bikes (if you have the means to do so). Bikes are a great way to move around the resort, and also ride into the Town of Duck. Bike rentals in Duck are available if you don't bring your own. Remember to take your bike locks so you can lock up your bikes at the bike rack each night.

- If you are interested in fishing while on vacation, just make sure you have the proper licenses. There are also many rental and charter boats for fishing based out of the various inlets if you wanted access to waters farther offshore.

- Pets are not permitted anywhere on or in the Resort property.

- "The unit was just as described. It was a bit dated but it worked fine for us. One thing of concern, in the room with twin beds the carpet around the exterior was soaking wet. They promptly brought in dehumidifiers and it was ok with us, but they didn’t seem to have any idea why it was wet. My concern is that if the source is not found, it will create mold and collect under the beds because they go all the way to the floor so no air can get there. I wanted to let the owner know but can no longer reach them directly. I hope to return but the more modern units are out of our price range so I’m hoping to catch another timeshare resell next year or book close by. We loved being close to the village of Duck. "

Would definitely recommend to any young family looking to get away for a nice beach trip."
