Quiet double room in lovely big 2-bed Victorian flat, opposite two parks, 7 minutes' walk from Hove station with off-street parking space.
Staying with me and my (quite vocal but very affectionate and gentle) cat.

The space
The bedroom has black-out curtains so you'll get a good night's sleep. I'm afraid there's not much of a view but you're welcome to use the garden. The room is off the kitchen, which needs to be gone through to get to the bathroom.
Apologies if the cat makes a dash to get into your room. He loves hiding under that bed. It's easy enough to get him out with a treat though!

The house is close to the Town centre, and 10 minutes walk from the Station. There are five pubs in the area, one being the Lamb which is 12th century and serves good pub grub. We are also close to a Waitrose. Gildredge Park is near, and an Indian restaurant. There are several Golf clubs including The Royal and The Downs near by. And Beachy Head is within walking distance.

Comfortable twin room with shared bathroom. Use of the kitchen if required with small fridge.

This bright single room provides lovely views across Brighton to the sea including the i360 tower. Great for solo travellers and students. This room comes with shared use of the bright, clean kitchen area, newly refurbished wet room and living area. There is a nice sized enclosed south facing garden where you can relax. Please note smoking is allowed in the garden but not in the house. There is free WIFI and free on-street parking!

The space
Our house is situated on a hill and there are also steps leading up to the front door - so unfortunately not suitable access for wheelchairs.

This house is very close to the University of Brighton just off Lewes Road which is next to Mouslecoomb Train Station (10 minute walk downhill) and a 6 minute journey into Brighton station. Or a 5 minute drive. The City centre is a 25-35 minute walk, or main bus route (25 & 49) with buses every few minutes to the rest of the city and these run all night.

The AMEX football stadium is a 5 minute drive away and approximately a 20 minute walk. This is situated next to the Falmer campus of Brighton University and also the University of Sussex campus, one stop by train to Falmer Station.

This is not a family home. We enjoy playing music rather than watching TV, but guests are welcome to use the TV room/lounge.

We are in a quiet residential area with access to the downs where you can take long country walks with breathtaking views over Brighton or visit the nearby Stanmer Park (National Trust).

Guest access
This is a clean and relaxed house. Guests can relax in the lounge or garden. Being open plan, interaction in the kitchen area hopefully feels like 'home from home'.

There is NO BATH only a wet room shower - which is shared, but always kept clean.

The rear enclosed garden is south facing and enjoys the sun from sunrise to sunset and guests can feel free to use it - smoking only outside.

During your stay
Generally there is somebody at home most of the time, certainly first thing in the morning and most evenings and a mobile number is available to guests. We always endeavour to greet guests on their arrival and departure.

Jacqui will be on hand if guests need to get in touch for any reason.

You do have freedom of the house, so make yourself at home.

For longer stays the price will be reduced. This is so that the guest takes on the role of a short-term lodger and 'mucks in' with light cleaning. The cleaning fee is to prepare the room and home for your arrival.

Other things to note
Coffee, tea and breakfast cereals etc are free for guests to help themselves to.

There are always fresh towels and plenty of nice toiletries available for your use.

A pleasant room with plenty of natural light, large desk, double bed and storage space for clothes. Warm and cosy in winter, light and sunny in summer.
Peaceful, friendly household consisting of mature mother and son, and a less mature cat 😺! Please note there is one double bed, so if two people book they would be sharing it.
