Sitting just one road back from Eastbourne's beautiful seafront, George's is the ideal base for exploring all the town has to offer, just minutes from the beach, town centre, restaurants and the beautiful South Downs.

George's is a refurbished and extended Victorian terraced house which combines some elegant original features with contemporary modern styling. It is perfect for groups and extended families, as it can sleep up to 12 (plus baby in travel cot). 8 in permanent beds, 2 on a day bed in the games room and 2 on the sofa bed in the family bedroom.

The house was originally a bed and breakfast style guest house in the 1960's. It is arranged over 6 split level floors. There are 4 bedrooms in total, 3 are together on one floor and 1 in the loft conversion. 1 bedroom is a large family bedroom with kingsize bed, a flop out sofa bed (sleeps 2 children) and en suite shower room with toilet. There is one twin room (with 2 single beds) and two other double bedrooms (with double beds). There is a family bathroom in the loft, a family shower room on the ground floor and a further separate toilet on the first floor. Towels and linen are all provided for you, however we'd ask they you bring your own beach towels.

There is a large fully equipped kitchen diner which opens out onto a courtyard garden, perfect for alfresco dining or sitting in the sun enjoying a glass of wine!

To front of the basement has been arranged as a games room complete with table football, board games, toys and games console. Along with the free wifi, everyone should be kept entertained!

All bedrooms are large (no one will feel short-changed) and provide good levels of storage, often built-in.

Five bedrooms are situated on the first floor, with three overlooking the water. The principle bedroom, with marina views, has a super kingsize bed (or twin beds if you prefer) plus an ensuite bathroom with bath and a separate shower for space and flexibility.

There is another bedroom enjoying a super kingsize bed (or two separate single beds), with an ensuite shower room. Bedroom three has a permanent kingsize, and there are also two further twin bedrooms on this floor.

There is a separate family bathroom upstairs, with a bath and a separate shower.

On the ground floor (handy for elderly parents or those who prefer to minimise stairs), a sixth bedroom has two single beds, with a separate toilet opposite. A travel cot is available on request and would fit comfortably into any of the bedrooms.

This is a quiet residential area so please show consideration for neighbours at all times. Loud parties and gatherings are strictly prohibited and please keep music, TV and noise low after 8pm and before 9am.

As sound travels much further when you are outside the property, please take extra care when you are enjoying the garden/decking area so that the neighbours can also enjoy theirs, and please respect the 11pm curfew to use this space and ensure everyone is indoors with doors closed by this time.

Please be aware there are CCTV cameras monitoring the exterior of the property (front door, plus rear patio/private dock). No cameras are inside the property, and the external footage will only be accessed for security reasons and if neighbours report the 11pm garden curfew is not being respected.

This property is located in the west centre of town perfectly placed between the beaches of Eastbourne and the shops and restaurants of central.

The apartment is set across one level and is on the hallway level of the building, it is accessed by a gentle ramp so is great for anyone that struggles with stairs. It is very tastefully designed throughout with a modern kitchen and bathrooms both installed.

Its brilliant location offers many great local attractions all within walking distance. Just down the road lies the Congress and Devonshire Park Theatres, and the contemporary Towner Art Gallery, each producing many great shows and exhibitions all year long. The seafront promenade is also just a few hundred meters away, a stroll along here will take you past the 'Redoubt Fortress', 'Eastbourne Bandstand' and 'Eastbourne Pier'. Recently renovated to a very high standard with a stylish and modern interior and wonderfully bright rooms throughout.
The two tall windows in the lounge overlook the communal garden and let in a lot of natural light. There are oiled oak floors throughout. The fully equipped kitchen has Bosch appliances including an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher. The open plan kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of crockery & cooking utensils for you to enjoy.
There is a round table with two dining chairs and a bench and this doubles as a desk to be used as workspace with a task light and sockets for your laptop. The Wi-Fi is full fibre and fast. The lounge has a comfortable sofa, an armchair and bookshelves and a Smart 4K Ultra HD TV with free Netflix account and Now Entertainment including Sky channels and HBO.
The bedroom features a king size bed with luxury mattress and 300 thread count bed linen. There are also built-in wardrobes with a large hanging space and shelves. Two bedside tables and a tall wall mirror complete the bedroom which has floor to ceiling room darkening curtains to ensure a restful sleep. For longer trips, Eastbourne's train station provides connections to major cities like Brighton, London, and Hastings.

A cosy artist's studio on the edge of the Old Town area of Eastbourne below the South Downs, 2 miles from the sea. The studio has its own entrance, ensuite bathroom (shower and toilet) There is a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, kettle opening on to a tiny patio. It’s a 20 min walk to beautiful medieval pubs, church and restaurants of Old Town and a 10 min drive to the seafront (or 40 min walk), shops and town centre. 10 min in the other direction takes you to the South Downs National Park.

The space
It is a unique studio, with a cosy double bed, bespoke wooden shutters, and an en-suite shower room/toilet. The studio is reached through a kitchen area with a ceramic sink, microwave, fridge and washing machine, (it is connected to the main house but locked off; if your stay is for more than a week we may need to access the washer but will arrange a convenient time so as not to disturb you). Please note the kitchenette area does not have conventional oven only a microwave. The studio can be accessed through its own gate at the side of the main house with its own lockable back door. There is also a small private outdoor area with a cafe table and chairs. Plenty of room for cycles and other gear. Whether you are here to explore the sea or the Downs, or just to relax (and perhaps even paint yourself), we hope you will love the Artist's studio.

The guest also has exclusive use of the kitchen sink, fridge, and microwave in the kitchenette space, with washing machine. We have two cats that do come through the utility room but have no access to the studio itself (unless you want to invite them in). We also have a young puppy but she stays within the main house so you won't meet her (unless you want to say hello). The house is close to the Town centre, and 10 minutes walk from the Station. There are five pubs in the area, one being the Lamb which is 12th century and serves good pub grub. We are also close to a Waitrose. Gildredge Park is near, and an Indian restaurant. There are several Golf clubs including The Royal and The Downs near by. And Beachy Head is within walking distance.

The house is located in the Old Town. Near to Gildredge Park and Gardens. A stylish Victorian house with original features, including working fireplaces. A large open plan kitchen with an Aga ensures that the guest feels at home. The host is a hotelier, chef and also plays the piano. Guests are welcome to play the piano(s) in the house

Large double bedded room with views to the downs. Large bathroom with bath and shower on the same floor, with view to the downs.

Other things to note
Guests are welcome to Breakfast, which consists of Tea/Coffee Toast. If there is the time I like to bake my bread, homemade jam, and sometimes even the butter is homemade. I cannot guarantee this, but I can ensure that you will be looked after.
I make a small nominal charge per person for cooked breakfast, which is usually the 'famous' scrambled eggs a la Maison, which other Airbnb guests will confirm is apparently 'the best'!

Great location. One minute from beach. 20 minute walk into town centre & train station. Shops and food nearby.
Lovely dog lives in the house, who won't bother guests and has no access to upstairs.
Host will want your stay to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible and will be available should guests need anything/local information etc.

The space
A typical terraced house for the locality. Guest room is at the top of the house, with a seperate and private feel. Access via staircase.
There is a small courtyard, back garden which guests are welcome to use.
