Stunning Sussex renovated period barn in the heart of the Ashburnham Vale, sleeps up to 10 people, with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Large open plan living area with a central featured fireplace incorporating a log burner, this area is open to the roof with original beams, overlooking a kitchen / dining room, and separate laundry room. The layout of the barn consists of three bedrooms downstairs. There is a standard double room with a wet room attached. The northern end of the High Street is the Almonry, originally built in 1090, which houses the Battle Museum of Local History. Here you’ll find the world’s oldest Guy Fawkes – or at least his head, which is made of pear wood, and his silk cloak. Thought to be more than 200 years old, he is still in active service and leads the Battle Bonfire Boyes on their fiery procession through the town each November.
At the southern end is Battle Abbey, and behind it the once-bloody battlefield, now a peaceful meadow filled with wild flowers and birdsong. Here you can stand at the very spot where King Harold is said to have died.

Neddys rest is in its own designated paddock, to prevent unwelcome neighbours... our horses and ponies from hassling you. They will come and say hi, but you are totally secure. Nestled into the corner of a large field, surrounded by nature.

The northern end of the High Street is the Almonry, originally built in 1090, which houses the Battle Museum of Local History. This charming farmhouse with stables and horses enjoys wonderful views over the valley towards the village of Sedlescombe and would make an excellent retreat for a family country getaway. The entire village is nestled in a conservation area containing many picturesque half-timbered houses and a central village green with an ancient pump house and a village flock of geese. There is a village store and pub dating back to the 15th century which is a gentle stroll away and welcomes dogs. For keen golfers, there is a local golf club and for wine lovers, Sedlescombe Organic Vineyard is 2 miles away, Carr Taylor (2 miles) and Oastbrook Vineyard (5 miles). All offer tours and tastings. The main bedroom looks out onto the driveway. This room and the second room and bathroom are for your exclusive use. There is also a shower room, which is accessed through the main house.
Outside you have sole use of a secluded garden area, accessed by a side door.
There is a large driveway at the front with ample parking.

Your bedroom has a comfortable king size bed and the wardrobe has hanging space and shelves.
Your second room has a table and chairs, kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave and FreeSat TV.
There are jars of tea and coffee in the cupboard.
This room has a single bed which , for a small charge for the extra bed linen, is ideal for two guests who do not want to share the same room.
There is a bathroom with a sunken bath for your exclusive use, and also a shower room, which is accessed through the kitchen.
Outside you have sole use of a sunny, secluded garden area, accessed by a side door, with a table and chairs, for eating and relaxing.

The living areas in the property consist of an open-plan living space with a kitchen containing an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, washing machine and a dishwasher, a dining area with seating for four people, and a sitting area with a TV and sofa. There is one double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard with patio, gravelled area and furniture, off-road parking for one car and a large car park at the rear of the property. Within 0.1 miles, you will find a shop and a pub. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Please note that this is a non-smoking property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. White Hart Stables provides a romantic escape for two in East Sussex. Note: Property adjacent to a pub with beer garden.

The Cabin is hidden away, no passing traffic just the odd swooping bird or passing donkey, looking out onto paddocks and vineyards, for the ultimate stress free getaway, only the birds and trees for company. The cabin is fully functioning, has a fabulous log burning stove, set up for short or long stay, with a bespoke whisky shower tub, king size bed, wifi should you want it, fridge freezer, microwave and toaster, towels and cooking essentials, just bring something nice to drink and relax.

The space
A beautiful log cabin with a fab interior and all luxuries you may need, located on the edge of a large field, to the rear of the main farm house, but close enough to access all towns and places of interest, situated on the doorstep of Carr Taylor Vineyards and the beautiful towns of Battle, Hastings Rye and Eastbourne, relax on the decking.
Come to relax and chill out. The Cabin is located at the end of a long BUMPY drive, we access daily with our vehicles and horse box but it is bumpy so please drive slowly and carefully with low profile vehicles and motor bikes.
We do not allow pets to stay in the Cabin.

Guest access
The cabin has its own decking and parking area, we request that guests use the areas provided.
Please during winter months when it is dark. Check in during daylight hours as the cabin is tricky to find in the dark.

Other things to note
The cabin is equipped with a microwave kettle and toaster. A log burning stove with a basket of logs is supplied, further logs can be purchased if you require. You will need to bring bbq charcoal if you wish to cook al fresco.
Check in and out times are currently set at check in 4pm check out 10am. We cannot accommodate any requests different to this.

20 -25 min walk to the local high street shopping area. Large and long walks through woods and fields in the area.

Guest access
Guest have access to the front and back doors, the kitchen and the sitting room areas. All cooking utensils are available to our guest.

During your stay
We usual work from home and are happy to interact with guest at any time. We are keen, social and love discussion of any topic and respect each and everybody's opinion. If guests feel free to want to talk to us at time, they are always welcomed with open arms.
Occasionally we not home and guest can use the key safe to gain access to the premises and should always leave the keys in the safe and lock the doors.

We understand that pets are an important part of many families and we love animals too. How ever to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests we have no pet policy because some guests may have allergies or sensitivities to animals.

Guess have access to the rooms through main front of back door using keys or let in by the owner. The rooms are situated on the third floor with only stair way access to and each. There are keys for guest to use while staying with us

With access to the kitchen, sitting room and patio the guests are free to cook their meals at any time. There are frigdes and cupboard spaces including kitchen equipment and irons to utilise .

Please note that, although we are dog loving, we do not allow any animals in the premises in respect for other guests who might have allegies.

Our guest should note that room keys are provided on arrival. Any loss of keys, charges of £25/ key will occur.
