'Carvinack' is a light, spacious and welcoming 1 double bedroom semi-detached property located in a quiet residential area close to the beaches of Gyllyngvase, Castle Beach and Swanpool with its nature reserve. The town centre, harbour and seafront are either a very short drive or a comfortable walk away.

The property has a neutral decor and a tastefully appointed comfortable interior. For 2020 the property has been redecorated throughout. Together with new carpets, lighting and oak flooring you will find a new smart TV, smart speaker with Alexa voice control, washing machine and fridge freezer. The bedroom has a new king size pillow top Hypnos mattress and oak bed frame.

On the ground floor you enter the property through an enclosed porch leading to the front door where you will find a good sized lounge with a 4K LG smart TV and Amazon Echo speaker with Alexa. Buzzard’s Rest provides comfortable, cosy accommodation in a quiet Falmouth Street. It is conveniently situated with ample parking. A spacious balcony with pleasing open views provides access to the property and is a lovely space to sit and watch the sun go down behind the hill, or if you are lucky, to watch our resident buzzard circling in search of a meal! The keys will be left in a key safe for easy entry.

Entry is into an open plan living room and kitchen area with a breakfast bar. The well equipped kitchen has an under counter oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. A dishwasher and washing machine are also included. The living room has a comfortable sofa bed (please request bedding from the owner), and a small dining table with chairs. An HD TV with freeview and a DVD player are provided. Broadband internet (upto 100 Mbs) is available throughout the property.

A spiral staircase leads downstairs to a spacious, comfortable, bright and airy bedroom with plenty of drawers and hanging space. The bathroom has a walk in shower. There is also a fire exit in case of emergency.

Buzzard’s Rest is conveniently located on a quiet street. A 20 minute walk through a nature reserve alongside a babbling brook will take you to pretty Swanpool Beach with a cafe and restaurant. A further 10 minute stroll along the coast path will bring you to Gyllyngvase Beach which is slightly larger and again has a cafe and a restaurant. Both beaches provide water sport hire, including paddle boards and kayaks. The coast path can be followed in both directions for either a gentle meander or a much more energetic walk.

A 15 to 20 minute walk from Buzzard’s Rest in the opposite direction will take you directly into the historical maritime sailing port of Falmouth with its numerous pubs, restaurants, cafes, and independent shops lining the vibrant cobbled high street.

Walks abound for the energetic, along the coast path and around the Fal River Estuary. There are numerous beautiful gardens in the close vicinity, some belonging to the National Trust and some privately owned. Pendennis Castle is perched on the headland and provides splendid views across to the opposite headland of St Anthony’s Head or across Falmouth Bay to the Helford River Estuary. The ferry gives easy access to its sister castle across the Carrick Roads at St Mawes.

There is an excellent taxi and bus service around the town for those not wanting to walk and there are plenty of car parks in town. Penmere Station is less than a 5 minute walk away and is very convenient for catching a train into Truro or else further afield to Penzance, Exeter and Paddington, London.

Falmouth has a calendar of ongoing events throughout the year and is a wonderful destination for a visit as well as providing a convenient base for exploring the southern part of Cornwall.

Woodpeckers is a well-equipped two-bedroomed modern house, located in the beautiful landscaped wooded grounds of Pendra Loweth Holiday Village, approximately 2 miles from Falmouth, and a short drive from the beautiful beaches of Gyllyngvase, Swanpool and Maenporth.
Guests have access to all the facilities, including a seasonal bar and cafe, outdoor tennis courts, seasonal indoor spa pool and jacuzzi, a gym, and indoor and outdoor children's play areas.
The ground floor accommodation consists of a large open-plan lounge/ dining room , kitchen and cloakroom/ WC. Falmouth town is lovely, with some astounding views across the water to Flushing. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and cafe’s. Also, from the Quay, you can take boat trips to several amazing locations.
There are some really challenging and enjoyable attractions nearby, particularly Via Ferrata for the more adventurous, and Flambards Theme Park is a short drive away.
The Maritime Museum is a must-see.
There is also a Station at Falmouth which has a regular train to the historic city of Truro.

This brand new townhouse is tucked away in a friendly cul-de-sac, but remains close to all of Falmouth's best beaches and amenities. Sleeping up to six guests, the modern property has ample space for all guests to spread out and relax. This property is located in a brand new development just outside of Falmouth's town centre. You can expect to find all the best mod cons inside; from new kitchen gadgets to clean carpets and freshly painted walls.

The Space:
Split over three levels, the first floor is comprised of a large open-plan kitchen and dining room, as well as a cosy living room with double French doors to the garden. The comfortable L-shaped sofa is the perfect place for all the family to relax after a busy day on the beach, and you're spoilt for choice when it comes to films as there's a smart 4K TV with apps and speedy fibre internet. In the kitchen, you will find brand new mod cons for cooking: a gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle and toaster. There's also children's dinnerware and a high chair. The farmhouse style table creates a sociable dining area for dinner, or stick the Roberts Radio on for a soulful breakfast. Additionally, on the ground floor there is another WC and utility room.

Upstairs to the second floor there are three crisp, clean and homely bedrooms. The master bedroom features a comfortable king-size bed with wardrobe and dressing table, as well as a private en-suite with shower. The two further bedrooms have a double bed and bunk beds - both share a family bathroom with a shower and bath. A travel cot with proper mattress is also available. One of the properties best assets is the large, paved garden which gets glorious afternoon light. On the ground level is a large outdoor table and chairs, ideal for evening BBQS, and up the steps you will find a pair of wicker chairs perfect for reading. With free parking on the driveway and within close proximity to Falmouth's beautiful beaches, this is a fantastic holiday house for families and groups in need of a fun-filled coastal getaway.

The house has also goes the extra mile to cater for families - especially those with younger children. There are stair gates, a bath tub, a high chair, a travel cot with proper mattress (available with bedding), children's dinnerware and black out blinds in the bunk room. There's even a utility room with washing machine and dryer for when the kids dive head first into the sea fully clothed!

For the surfers or those with bikes, there is access to the secure garden from a side gate.

The Neighborhood:
The property is located in the vibrant town of Falmouth, but tucked away in Swanpool's leafy suburbs. The pretty Swanvale Nature Reserve is situated just behind the property, and is a delightful place for a walk. Swanpool Beach is only a five minute drive or around a 10 minute walk, and offers calm waters perfect for swimming. There's also SUP and kayak hire for the more adventurous! Gyllyngvase Beach is another great beach just a little further round the headland. On sunny evenings, Hooked on the Rocks is an idyllic place for a tipple at sundown or fresh seafood overlooking the water.

The harbourside is around a ten-minute drive or 25 minute walk, boasting ample seafood restaurants, pubs and bars. We'd recommend trying Five Degrees West and The Wheelhouse for excellent local beer and delicious, fresh food. The Star & Garter on the high street, around 15 mins walk, and is also worth a visit for its award-winning menu. A little further, you will find the Falmouth Docks and within half an hour you can walk all the way to Pendennis Point - a must-see for epic views from the castle.

The town is loved for its creative feel and maritime heritage. If you love food, the annual Oyster Festival in October is the perfect time to visit. The festival marks the start of the oyster dredging season and celebrates the very best Cornish seafood.

A short drive from Falmouth, you'll find National Trust-owned Trelissick Gardens, with a woodland walk that’s free to enjoy and takes you right down to the banks of the River Fal. For a post-walk pint, we would recommend heading to The Pandora Inn (around 15 mins from the gardens). Its sea-front location makes it one of the prettiest places for a pint this side of the Tamar.

Getting Around:
Given the remote nature of Cornwall, a car is recommended for getting the most out of your stay here. That said, Falmouth has very good transport links with trains running from London Paddington all the way into the town centre. Falmouth Town station is a 20 minute walk from the house, and from here you can hop on for one stop to the end of the line at Falmouth docks or to Penryn in the other direction - a quaint fishing village.

Other Things to Note:
The property is split over 3 levels, so may not be suitable for those with mobility limitations. Stair gates have been fitted to help ensure safety for those with younger children.
We strictly do not allow parties, including hen or stag do's.
This is a residential area and therefore no noise is allowed after 11 pm.

Close to the beach with a 15 minute or so walk on foot paths through the neighborhood. Close to the train station and amenities. The only negative we experienced was being told by the neighbors to shut our windows during a time that the temp was in the high 30’s ( 90’s) because they could hear us talking through their open window. So chatting over dinner became awkward unless we wanted to eat in a sauna. Obviously that had nothing to do with the rental, but we felt like interlopers having our vacation around people who were still working a 9 to 5. We felt we had to tip toe around to avoid getting a knock at the door at 9.30pm. Overall however, we were very pleased with our stay."

Swanpool cafe is home of the quirky ice creams with Swanpool nature reserve and crazy golf all in walking distance. Falmouth Golf Club (18 holes) is less than a mile away and does great food with fabulous views over Falmouth Bay and is also dog friendly.

Head down to Gyllyngvase beach – have coffee or breakfast on the outdoor deck of the beach café - they have their own bakery, and blankets and heaters in winter. Watch the surf club training and spot marine craft on the world’s third deepest natural harbour.

Walk the coastpath from the cottage – head to Swanpool Beach or the beautiful Maenporth Beach, both also have excellent cafes- or take a ferry across Falmouth Bay to idyllic St Mawes, and maybe on again to the wooded slopes of St Anthony Head beyond.

Enjoy the sub-tropical waters and marine wildlife from a stand up paddleboard – stroll down to the beach, hire a board or canoe, and explore the secret beaches, coves and reef of the Helford Passage.

Spend some time on Falmouth’s vibrant high street – from the cottage it's about 8 minutes by car, offering independent shops and galleries, artisan bakeries, quirky and historic bars and atmospheric restaurants – many with waterfront views.

Falmouth Golf Club is less than a mile away with a lovely bar serving great food with views over Falmouth bay.

Explore the Lizard Peninsula. It's just a few minutes’ drive to the beautiful gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan, both meandering down to beaches on the Helford Passage – or on to explore historic Penzance, and swim in the newly opened Art Deco seawater Lido, now heated by geothermal sources.

The Seal Sanctuary is only 9 miles from Kingfisher Cottage and I can guarantee children and adults alike will love it.

Dogs must be kept on a lead when on site however, there are many lovely dog friendly walks from our doorstep and lots of opportunity for off lead time once off site, including the 2 acre Roscarrack field just 150 yards from our front door. Perfect for exercising the dog and enjoying the wildlife there.

PLEASE NOTE - Maenporth Beach does not allow dogs on the beach between 10am-6pm between 1/7-31/8. The nearest dog friendly all year round beaches are situated between Maenporth and Mawnan Smith.

The studio is tucked away in a quiet spot . Very central to Falmouth vibrant Town where you will find restaurants bars and shops, also near to all transport Bus and Train. Lovingly restored terraced house located on a quiet residential street. This newly renovated home is less than 10 minutes walk to the centre of Falmouth and less than 15 minutes walk to the famous Gyllyngvase Beach.

We ve only just renovated and decorated this beautiful old Victorian Terraced Home, so everything in it brand new (apart from a few vintage items here and there!). Most of the furniture is new, the kitchen is new, the bathrooms are all new.

On the ground floor, there is lovely sitting room with a new 40" Smart TV (with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video). There s a new kitchen / dining room with an enormous table, leading through to the garden. There s also a handy double room with a nice big sash window out to the back yard, and a second bathroom with a shower and loo.

Upstairs there is a double bedroom and bathroom at the front of the house, a twin room looking out over the back yard and a large family bedroom at the back.9

- "The place was easy to find and in a great area, the gardens around the holiday park are beautiful. We sat outside on the patio in the evenings watching the wildlife. The house was clean, had everything we needed, and extras for any boredom on rainy days (we only had 1 day of bad weather). The only issue we had was the plug sockets didn’t seem to like any of our phone/ipad charger plugs, we even bought a new one in case it was our issue. No idea why as anything else with a fixed plug worked just fine, maybe a couple of usb ports could solve that issue. We walked along the southwest coast path which isn’t far from the property and only 30 min drive to places such as the Eden project. We selected here as it was close to Falmouth where we visited family. We would definitely book again!"

- "The house was spotlessly clean & catered for every eventuality. Altho in suburbia, you could not see or hear a neighbour & the house had a lovely sunny outlook over the valley. It is well located to access the roads taking one to St Ives, Polperro, Looe, St Mawes etx & is just a very short drive to Falmouth. We ate out most days and didn't use the dishwasher, or washing machine, but the kitchen had everything one could possibly need & all the appliances looked new. We only used the main bedroom, so cannot vouch for the other 2 bedrooms. The bed was very comfortable & there was plenty of cupboard space. With two bedrooms, our detached home is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, a few minutes walk from local woodland and 15 minute walk (5 minutes drive) from the vibrant town centre, local beaches and stunning south-west coast path.

The recently refurbished open plan kitchen/ diner, is the heart of the home, opening out on to the newly landscaped sub-tropical garden. Fully equipped with new induction hob, double oven and everything needed to cater for yourselves during your stay. The washing machine, microwave and additional sink are provided in the utility room.

The lounge provides two relaxing areas, whether it’s taking time for yourself on the sofa with your favourite book, looking out on the garden or gathering together to watch a film or your favourite programme.

The lush, private, sub-tropical garden offers outdoor dining and tranquil seating areas.

NB. Please note children are welcome, but must be supervised in the garden at all times to ensure their safety. The garden is spread over two levels with no barrier around the upper level and an uncovered wildlife pond on the lower patio area. - "Only after we’d booked did I realise that the property wasn’t actually in Falmouth but in Flushing. Yes it’s only 500m away but that’s across the river and not “walkable” which is what we wanted. The property itself was great, clean, warm and extremely well equipped. One major issue with location is the noise from the pub opposite, it would appear to be a great locals pub, gets busy and very loud. It wasn’t great to have that amount of noise just outside your bedroom. "

We would love to welcome you to our light, airy small double room with en-suite facilities, within our family home. You have your own private entrance at the side of the house for your privacy. We have made the room as comfortable as possible for your stay. It is listed as a flat but is actually an en-suite room with no shared spaces.
We have two dogs and one cat that have no access to your space but they may bark on your arrival to greet you!

Please note our house is now pink. Easy to spot as only house in road this colour! Entering our driveway you will see our front door. Bearing left around the side of the house follow the pathway and you will come to your own front door just before our garden gate. Keys are located on the wall in a key safe for your convenience. The door leads directly into your room from the path at the side of the house. We are a friendly quiet family with two dogs. They will bark on your arrival and will want to say a big hello, but will soon quieten down and otherwise not noisy. There is a fence so they will not be able to come to say hello but will try to through our fence - they are very friendly. We also have a cat who has been known to visit through the window so be aware!

Other things to note
Please bring your own beach towels and note there is no access to the kitchen area. It is a small but very nice and comfortable room and we hope you will enjoy your time with us.

We will endeavor to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Noise may travel, as it is a lived-in house, so please let us know if we are disturbing you at all. We are early risers in the week so will keep you in mind. Suggest you keep the inner bedroom door closed for your comfort.
We have 2 dogs - they will bark to greet you and love to say hello. 1 cat Jacob - who may come in through if the window is open. He loves his head being rubbed but not keen on tummy rubs beware!

There are wonderful eateries within a short walk (8-10 minutes) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fish and chip shop within 5 minutes walk. Spar and Co-Op are also nearby.
Town and beaches are both 10 - 15 minutes walk away. Train, bus, and laundry approximately 5 mins walk so very central to everything but out of town enough to be quiet and peaceful.

Large double room with ensuite overlooking the garden on the ground floor of a grade 2 listed property. This is a converted barn in an idyllic private rural location. There is also a small single bedroom available and private access to a shower room across the hall for a small supplementary charge (pricing per room not per person). On the first floor is the living space and kitchen. Parking for one car.

The space
This is a barn conversion dating back to 1700's within part of a private historic estate. There is no access to roam the rest of the estate but you will benefit for the quiet peaceful rural location.

There is a private courtyard accessed from the kitchen with an outside sofa. You are welcome to use this space (it is a sun trap during the day). The front garden is communal so only have access to my section (as per photo and in line with the house).

During your stay
I will be available to meet all guests on arrival so please advise of approx. arrival time. This is my home and therefore there are personal effects but also designated storage spaces for guests. I live on the top floor of the property, the listing price is for 2 bedrooms and shared space access. There is an additional double bedroom which can be booked on request.

The annexe is a very spacious room and tastefully furnished, which includes a super king size bed, and en- suite shower room.The annexe has its own private courtyard and off the road parking. We are within easy reach for Falmouth’s shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, and beaches, which are about 20 minutes walk.
The only cooking facilities that we have is a microwave, toaster, small fridge, and tea making facilities.

The Annexe is a separate building at the end of a large drive at the side of a bungalow, close to the town and beaches, with its own private court yard, and off the road parking in the drive way.

Your stay will be in a cosy double bed room in the attic of a charming townhouse by Kimberly Park in central Falmouth.

Enjoy views of the park through bay windows and a simple breakfast each morning, along with tea and coffee facilities in your room. There is a key lock all the bedrooms.

The large bathroom is shared among three guest bedrooms, and we provide fluffy towels for all guests.

The space
Our three-story townhouse is conveniently located close to Kimberly Park, Penmere train station and the town centre. If you are here for the sea then it's only a 20-minute walk to the stunning Gyllyngvase beach.

My partner, son and I live on the middle floor of the house (accessible via Park Ln), my mother-in-law lives (self-contained) on the ground floor and we rent out three guest bedrooms on the top floor to Airbnb guests and short-term students. Our friendly cat (Ziggy) lives wherever he likes. Our home is busy but peaceful, and a warm welcome will always be given.

The cosy guest attic rooms all share a large bathroom with a bath and over-bath shower, and each room has its own tea and coffee-making facilities. Guests are welcome to use the breakfast room and kitchen if needed where you will also find a ‘guest fridge’ which is shared between the guest rooms.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to use the breakfast room and kitchen on the middle floor of the house.

Access to the property is through the back entrance (on Park Ln).

During your stay
We will likely be home during your stay, but if we happen to be away, please feel free to call us if you encounter any problems.

We adapt to our guests' preferences regarding social interaction. As a welcoming family, we strive to make everyone feel at home. Guests have often said that staying at our house feels like visiting old friends, and we are always happy to engage with you during your visit.

On the breakfast room table, you may find a puzzle that you are welcome to join. We also have games and cards in the sideboard, and we are always up for a game or two if you'd like some company in the evenings.

There is no allocated parking for the property, however there is plenty of free on-the-road parking available nearby on Park Terrace, Park Hill and Clifton Crescent. There is no parking on Park Lane, however you are welcome to park briefly outside the property to unload your bags.
