There were numerous bars and restaurants nearby all serving delicious food. There is also a Spar shop 1minute walk away handy for last minute supplies. The only downside is that parking is not available at the property. However it is a pleasant (but hilly!) 5minute walk to the public carpark, which is not excessively priced for long stay. "

Rocksalt is our lovely 4-bedroomed holiday home just outside Rock on the North Cornwall coast. Built and furnished to a high standard in 2008, the house is situated in a glorious setting with far-reaching views over the Cornish countryside, yet is only a few minutes drive from Rock which offers water skiing, sailing and paddle boarding, the surfing beach of Polzeath and child-friendly Daymer Bay.

The accommodation is light and airy and comprises 4 large bedrooms with 2 en-suites and 1 family bathroom; an open-plan airy kitchen/lounge/dining area which is extremely well-equipped with large comfy sofas, a flat-screen HD TV and all mod cons. There are some great surfing schools. The beaches in the area are stunning.

The position is good for the shops in Rock and only a short walk to Porthilly beach and Rock beach beyond where you can get the ferry to Padstow. The immediate surrounding area is nice and quiet. My one thing to improve it is having the towels and linen provided as part of the rental. We took our own as local rental was a bit steep so it meant an extra bag in the car and more washing when we got home. Otherwise a great place to stay :)"
