The flat is in need a of full refurbishment. The drains however could do with a good clear out as I used the washing machine and the smell that arose from the drains and in the kitchen sink was foul, I did however try and clear it out with lots of kettles of hot water. The lady that dealt with my query and my move was lovely and very apologetic for me having to move so hopefully the apartment in Swansea has been cleaned and sorted. "

The house faces over the Bristol Channel and Atlantic Ocean within over an acre of land. The garden is mainly lawn and has some steep slopes and limestone rock faces. The large sliding windows from the living room have a stunning sea view, and open onto a patio and front lawn, that are ideal for al fresco eating and sunbathing. There is ample car parking space. From West Winds a rough footpath leads a few hundred yards down to “The Sands”, with a short scramble over the rocks to the beach at Slade. You can fish for bass as well as find crabs and lobsters in the rock pools. Because of the Gulf Stream the sea is usually warm enough for swimming from June to September, and with the right conditions surfing can be good. Further afield there is a beautiful coastal path that goes eastwards around the cliffs of Oxwich Point to Oxwich village (4 miles), and westwards across to Horton and Port Eynon Bay (2 miles). The Old School has been tastefully converted and is situated on a working farm within walking distance to all three of Rhossili’s bays. The cottage is on two levels and sleeps 2/3. It has a double room upstairs with built in wardrobes and drawers a sofa bed in the living room. All bed linen is provided.

The kitchen/diner is fully fitted and contains a washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, electric oven/hob, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. The floors are finished in natural stone.

The lounge has a sofa bed and occasional furniture. There is a tv with Freeview and a CD/DVD player. The cottage benefits from oil fired central heating throughout but also has a log burner.

The bathroom contains a shower cubicle and basin with a separate toilet downstairs which has an electric shaver point over the basin. Towels for use in the cottage are provided.

Cot and high chairs are available if required.

There is also a patio area with table and chairs for those who enjoy alfresco dining.

The closest beach is 5-10 minutes walk. The nearest restaurant/licensed premises is also 10 minutes walk. The nearest shop is only a short car journey away.

For a family gathering or friends reunion, combine the Old School cottage and Fferm Llong cottage to sleep up to 9 – ideal for summer holidays, Christmas or New Year.

The houses has a very large mature garden with trees and plants collected from around the world. There is a patio and BBQ area, with adequate seating and tables for alfresco dining. There are several lawned areas and a secluded sunken garden area for those wanting peace and quiet.

There is parking for two cars on shared the drive. Additional parking can be paid for in the car park opposite.

The house is set just off the main street in Morriston, close to restaurants, bars, take aways and cafes, all just a quick stroll away. The bus stop is a 2 min walk and it is a short bus ride to Morrison Hospital, Swansea City Centre and the Liberty Stadium or if you want to explore by car Gower beaches, Brecon Beacons and Dan yr Ogof Caves are 30/45 mins away.

The house is a 1900 period property which would have been grand in its day, the GF ceilings are 3.2m high.
It is clean but has dated decor and needs some TLC. Rooms are clean, warm and bathroom is large and fully functional.

There is limited on street parking but this does get taken early if there is an event like concerts at the park.
There is a recreational ground behind the house which is a manned car park for 500 cars.

2 minute walk to Brangwyn Hall, Swansea Rugby and Football club. 5 minute walk to the beach. 10 minute walk to local cafes, bars and restaurant. 15 minute walk to University. 20 minute walk into town.
