Our ranch is located approximately 8 miles north of Weatherford, Texas. The guest house is 600 square feet offering clean, comfortable accommodations for a single traveler or a couple.

The guest house is located near another rental and has a large porch, swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit and pellet grill. The porch is the perfect space for relaxing with a book and enjoying nature.

The guest house is fully furnished with heat/air, large TVs in the living room and bedroom, free wifi, mini fridge, air fryer/toaster oven, microwave and drip coffee maker. There are lots of windows with beautiful views of the ranch and cattle. The bedroom has a king size bed with nice linens and ceiling fan. The kitchen is equipped with a 2-burner cooktop, air fryer/toaster oven and everything needed to cook small meals and grill. We do allow a pet under 30 pounds but must be approved in advance. Since we have free range chickens, a pet must be leashed when outside. We do not allow a pet to be left alone in the house, so if you leave, you will need to take with you or crate. The pool has a liner so no pet is allowed in the swimming pool.

Charming renovated dairy barn with amazing pastoral views. The Barn has been lovingly renovated and has lots of family history. Our family began their dairy here in 1929. The Barn is located 8 miles north of Weatherford (Parker County).

This unique house exudes character and is furnished with every modern convenience. The Barn is a place where you will immediately feel at home, and by the time you leave, you'll feel you've made some new and treasured friends. It's a peaceful get-away where you can get in tune with the sounds of nature ... listen for the sounds of coyotes, wild turkey, birds, free-range chickens, lots of momma cows with their babies and rescue horses.

Spend a weekend or more on a cliff high above the Brazos River in the North Texas Hill Country of Palo Pinto County. A stone stairway cuts through giant boulders down to the river and several fishing spots, plus kayak and canoe launch points. Enjoy a large barbecue grill (charcoal) and views of the sunset and river from a covered pavilion. There is a heated pool (heated March to October) and hot tub that overlooks the river, amongst ancient live oaks and a regulation horseshoe pit. For the adventurous, there's also a primitive cabin (no power, no plumbing). Just 90 minutes from North Dallas and less than an hour to Fort Worth, yet you will feel you are a thousand miles away. Welcome to the Brazos de Dios.

Inside, (if you ever come in from the views) you will find one full-size, one queen and four bunk beds, plus a sleeper sofa (sleeps one, maybe two little ones) in the family room. In the family room, you will find a pool table and fireplace. Ideally, this place is for two couples and kids. Maximum 8. It is not ideal for packing in 8 grown men to save money. Do that and you'll be way more cozy and way less comfy than you may like, plus we're on a septic system that's not made for that. . Just sayin'.

Full disclosure: cell coverage can be spotty inside the house but outside it's fine. I do not provide Wi-Fi. Wireless hotspots are recommended for internet access and generally work quite well.

Lots of attractions, nightlife and abundance of great food and drinks. Lots to do for the whole family. During your stay, I always try and be available anytime by phone or text. I may or may not be on the property due to work and travel times. I love to meet my guest and enjoy getting to know you but I am also happy to let you come and go without distractions as well.

The guest area is 2 bed 1 bath living area that is only attached to the rest of the house by a door that is locked on both sides when we have guests. Complete privacy. There is no kitchen in this area so please come prepared. We do try to accommodate all of your needs with a grill/smoker and any last minute items you may have forgotten so just ask. Our goal is for you to enjoy this home as much as we do. We have built 4 cabins on the back side of this property for airbnb use. This is adults only, now extra guests please.

Full home is 2500 sq. ft and the space listed is 800 sq ft with a locked door separating the two. There is a private french door to access your area. Home is located on a dead end road so there is little traffic. It is dark at night so star gazing is wonderful, there is a security light near the parking area that is on while dark. Motion censored lights are in the covered parking areas. String lights over deck for romantic nighttime lighting. Outdoor seating on deck. Note that this is a country setting. There are occasional snakes. There are four cabins in the back of our property. All of our property is adult only no children no pets.

Other things to note
This home is in the country and sits on 5 acres so there is wildlife of all kinds. It is very quiet and peaceful with beautiful scenery. Home is located 20 min from historic Weatherford square which offers antique shopping, great restaurants,monthly festivals and First Monday Trade Days. Weatherford offers great scenic routes for motorcycles, so your welcome to bring it also. 30 min from Downtown Ft Worth, Stockyards, or 7th street dining and entertainment. 1 hour from Dallas Cowboy stadium, Rangers Stadium, 6 Flags and Hurricane Harbor in Arlington. We are 1 hour from DFW airport. Historic Granbury is also about 1 hour away. Eagle Mountain Lake is 15 min away with easy boat access, jet ski rentals, and great restaurants.

You will enter the suite from the carport through the back gate. A set of French doors is to your right and access is by a keyless combination lock. The number of the house is prominently displayed on the mailbox.

A combination living and sleeping area includes a kitchenette with refrigerator/freezer, air fryer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster. A starter set of coffee pods is provided.

The Loft on the Square is a wonderful apartment situated on the downtown square in Weatherford, Texas. The Weatherford square has several local restaurants, a wonderful coffee shop, antique shops, boutiques, a lovely bakery, as well as a fun sweet shop (Sweet Emilia's) that serves up Italian gelato, gourmet popcorn, and homemade fudge, all within walking distance.

The space
The Loft is a clean, welcoming, newly remodeled upstairs apartment style space. However, please note we do not have wheelchair or elevator access to the space. It has 1 bedroom and 1 full bathroom along with a large living room and kitchenette area. The sectional couch makes into a king size bed. The bedroom has a cozy window reading nook that can also double as a child's bed.

Other things to note
Guests and visitors should comply with the parking regulations and requirements and must show consideration to other vehicles in the neighborhood.

Quiet time after 10:00 p.m.

No eating or drinking in the bedrooms. Please enjoy your meal in the dining room.

WALKING? Completing a prayer path by April 1st which starts at the fire pit on the hill (please refer to aerial photo). If you'd like to walk out of the gate, just let us know and we'll give you a remote.

READING, TALKING, DREAMING? a delightful pergola with swinging chairs and a hammock await you! Plus, great place to watch birds.

GARDEN INTEREST? You are welcome to wonder about the garden and pick a few veggies for dinner. Plus, there is a wonderful family of hummingbirds that fly about in the summer months.

GRILLING? Lighter fluid and matches are provided; just bring your charcoal.

CAMP FIRE? There is plenty of firewood and stargazing is encouraged at the fire pit area on the hill.

1.We are a smoke free/ no open flames property meaning no smoking or candles even on the porch. What can we say, "We love the forest."
2. Up to (2) well mannered dogs can be approved prior to reserving. We only allow well managed vaccinated fur babies who are on a flea and tick program. They must stay with their owners at all times/no crating and no leaving them alone (this is a house rule). No aggressive dogs are welcomed. Please message us prior to bringing your dog as we only allow on a case by case basis. Any dogs brought without approval are consider unregistered guests.
* CLEANING AND SANITIZING: For those who are sensitive to perfumes and fragrances, we only use naturally derived products. We do not use air fresheners or any artificial fragrances of any kind. We are in compliance with Airbnb's policies of cleaning/sanitizing and use products approved by the EPA to kill Covid 19 and other viruses and bacterias.
