Bathrooms seem to have been recently updated. Had a TV with a cable and Wi-Fi worked like a charm. They have an indoor pool, sauna and the hot tub. We used the pool but the hot tub was out of order. Had a dinner at the restaurant that is a part of the hotel. Service was good, very friendly staff although food was not remarkable; there is also a pub that looked appealing buy I did not feel like taking my kids. There is liquor store beside the hotel, and across the street bunch of other stores, The Bay, Save-on-Foods, other liquor store, so you can have most of your needs met right there. All in all we had a great experience and would definitely go back."

- "Absolutely loved our stay - great there were no kids (quiet), and the pools, along with steam rooms and saunas are included, so that was exceptionally relaxing. The hotel included tea for post-steam room and you sit in these amazing chairs with your tea and look at the mountains. I feel like the hotel really went the extra mile - all breakfasts were included and they were excellent breakfasts. They also supplied free fruit and a little nibbly bakery item that was absolutely amazing each day. I don't think I can eat a granola bar anywhere else ever again - theirs was amazing - fresh with chocolate on top... peak of perfection. Our stay was fantastic. It's on my list of must-go-backs."

Restored 1940's farmhouse in organic orchard overlooking Vernon. The fields around the house used to be full of Spartan apple trees so we will call it Spartan House ( a small grove of Spartans remain). The house is fully equipped with plenty of space for upto 8 guests. The main floor is open concept with kitchen, dining, living room and entrance area along with a bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. Upstairs has three bedrooms and another full bathroom.

There is a large patio off the dining room with a swimming pool available to guests over the summer months and a hot tub throughout the year. The pool deck is private and fenced with a cedar hedge. The front yard is also enclosed with a fence.
Over the next few years we will continue to expand the orchard by adding a food forest of fruit and nut trees.

We are located on 20 acres in the BX area 7 kms outside of Vernon BC. The Grey Canal trail borders the property extending for 50 kms along the hillsides of the valley and is great for biking, hiking, horseback riding and snow shoeing. BX falls is just a 3km hike along the trail from the house. Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre is 20 minutes drive up the hill and Silver Star Mountain Resort is a few minutes beyond that. Okanagan, Kalamalka, Swan lakes and 3 provincial parks are all near by.

Sean now operates 'Centred Pilates Studio' in the old packing house on the property and a Cidery with restaurant has recently opened about a kilometre down the road.

The building offers a range of amenities, including a shared pool, gym, pickleball court, BBQ area, and beach access right nearby. Downtown is only a 5-minute drive, and you're close to golf courses, wineries, and Silver Star Resort.

The Space
This cozy studio includes a king-sized bed, a brand new comfortable sofa bed, and a full kitchen, laundry, TV, AC.

The space
There is a king bed that is very comfy for two people.

If you have a third guest, there is a brand new sofa bed. There is a pillow plus sheets/comforter/mattress protector for the sofa bed in a drawer under the main bed - it is the drawer closest to the couch. As you can see in one of the photos, the sofa pulls out completely flat: you can pull the bottom of the couch out, and adjust the back of the couch so that it lays flat as well. If you do use the sofa bed, please leave these sheets out at the end of your stay so we can ensure they get washed.

Please note: the pool is outdoor and is closed during the winter months, but is a fantastic spot to cool off during the spring/summer!

Some drawers/cupboards are locked and contain owner materials. Please leave these closed. There are also two drawers under the bed with extra sheets/materials. Please do not use the extra sheets/materials, everything needed for your stay will be feel free to use materials in other drawers/cupboards (including tea, coffee, books, games/cards, exercise equipment/passes), or store things in empty/open drawers.

There is a dishwasher, and dishwasher tabs. Dishes need to be rinsed thoroughly before being put in the dishwasher. Before leaving, please load the dishwasher and turn it on - heavy/heat dry setting works best.

There is a two in one laundry machine - it works best with small loads. As with many combo washer/dryer units, it does not always do a great job with drying. Please do not run this laundry machine completely unattended. Just to be safe it is best to keep an eye on it or check on it at least once throughout the cycle if you are at the pool/beach. There is high efficiency laundry detergent provided (above the sink in white container). The building also has a full size washer and dryer in the laundry room on the second floor for bigger loads. To use this machine you have to download the Coinmatic app, and pay $2/cycle.

There is a heating/AC unit that can be controlled with the thermostat by the main door. Press/hold the buttons to use. The sun/snowflake button adjusts between heating/air conditioning.

Apologies, the bathroom fan is not working right now. We are working on getting it fixed. After having a shower, if you leave the bathroom door open it normally airs out pretty quickly. Also, you may notice a powder in the gap under some of the walls both in and outside the apartment. This powder keeps ants from getting in.

Guest access
You can access the unit from the street entrance (on Marshall Rd). The door code will be provided upon booking. There is a set of keys with a fob on the key tray. This fob will give you access to the gym and the rest of the building.

There is street parking on Marshall Rd - there are 5 spots on the same side of the road as the building. If these are full, you can park on the far side of the road. If that is full (which it almost never is) you can park on Cummins Road around the corner. It is a very safe neighborhood. There are photos with descriptions of the three street parking options available.

Other things to note
My two favourite coffee shops are Ratio (also great breakfast) and Bean to Cup, both locally owned. Eatology is another good breakfast place.

As far as other food options - the Kal pub or Silverstar brewing are both good pub type spots. The Med and Intermezzo are fancier options. If you're looking for something different there is Thai/Vietnamese (Boa Thong and Lemongrass), sushi (Sushi Kawa), Indian (Curry Pot or Namaste), Mexican (Los Huesos), or Greek (Dorian's).

I have a beautiful organic garden, with outdoor sitting areas and patios that you are welcome to share and enjoy. There is a new patio with table and chairs right outside the suite- also a natural gas-fired barbeque for you to entertain yourselves or your guests
.Pleae also note that the City of Vernon homeless shelter is kitty corner from the property
In the three years they have been there I have never had a problem with them, or their residents.
They do have 24 hr security, who usually park on the South side of the property and they patrol the immediate area constantly
However, you should be aware that there are some pretty sad souls making their way to and from the shelter
That said, the neighborhood has a lot of seniors and young families who also walk/ jog / cycle around the area.

This centrally located, cozy, cool two bedroom private suite is all yours! Two bedrooms,-one has a queen bed and single trundle day bed (2 single beds). The second bedroom has another queen bed and two single floor mats that would work for small kids. You have a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and a stove to cook with. Dishes and
a small table for two to eat at. You have a cozy living room and bathroom with a tub/shower. If you stay for longer stretches I have a dish bin where you can wash dishes or I can swap out dishes for you as well.
I do have young kids in the house so you may hear them throughout your stay. Weekday mornings during school there may be an hour or two where you hear us getting off to school.

Come and enjoy our suite with queen bed and bunk beds with private bath. The suite is in the lower level of our home. It has a private entrance and is locked off from the rest of the house. We are only 4 blocks to downtown Vernon. It is a short walk to bars, restaurants, museum and amenities. We include daily access to our heated swimming pool and pool deck. A great alternative to a hotel or motel for a single, couple or family with up to 2 children.

The space
The suite is 550 square feet. It consists of a bedroom with 1 queen bed, twin bunk beds, a mini-fridge, coffee maker and TV (no cable). We provided coffee, creamer, sugar, coffee mugs, spoons, wine glasses, plastic drinking glasses and a corkscrew. Private entrance via an exterior stairwell. There is a bar height table and two chairs in the hallway alcove. The bathroom has a large shower with a rain shower and a handheld detachable shower head. Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash are provided. There are no cooking facilities provided and we do not allow items such as a microwave, BBQ, slow cooker, rice cooker, etc. to be brought in. There is only a porcelain sink in the bathroom suitable for rinsing out glassware, not for doing cooking and serving dishes. There are dozens of restaurants within a short distance and take-out is welcome.

There is one parking space for the suite which is on the far left of the gravel area of the driveway.

During your stay
We give our guests privacy to enjoy the space. But we are available to assist or give advice if needed. If we’re not home, our Carriage House tenant is also available for emergencies.

Other things to note
The suite can accommodate 4 guests. The room has 1 queen bed and a bunk bed with 2 twin mattresses. The bunk beds don't have a box spring, the mattresses are shorter than a regular bed, not pillow tops, and they are meant for children. Adults may find these beds very uncomfortable. The pool is open from May 1st to October 1st. The hours are 11am to 4pm for guests. Extended hours may be available upon request.
