The view from the upstairs windows was what we were hoping for; a little disappointed that we didn’t have the view from the ground floor. Everything else in the chalet was as expected - everything that you would need for a week’s stay. The decor was charming as you would hope for in a chalet. Communication with the owner was prompt and frequent. Although the location was a distance from other towns, we thought it was worth the extra drive, since the surrounding views were beautiful. Relax in the midst of the mountains and enjoy total seclusion on the unique high plateau in the Bernese Oberland. The Sennhütte is 500 metres from the mountain station (flat). Hut feeling guaranteed. The furnishings are rustic, very simply furnished. You are not staying in a hotel. If you are looking for the "very simple life", you have come to the right place.

There is no shower in the old part of the Sennhütte Süd that you book. There is a toilet on both floors. There are shower facilities at the mountain station. The mountain hotel is 10 minutes away and offers a sauna for shared use.

Please note that you will not get the floor warm in a mountain hut (no floor heating), but a simple heating system with electric heaters in all rooms.

Food and luggage are transported by snowmobile (can be booked by telephone and for a fee at the mountain station). Restaurants and various activities can be found on the Engstligenalp AG homepage.

The Sennhütte is used for alpine farming in summer, which is why it can only be rented in autumn and winter.

The vacation home is primarily a group accommodation, but if there is no group, the rooms can also be booked individually.

The rooms are equipped with single beds that are lockable and have modern amenities such as comfortable mattresses and sockets near the bed. You also enjoy a beautiful view of the river and the mountains.

The space
A well-equipped shared kitchen is at the disposal of all guests, so you can prepare your own meals and interact with other guests.
The adjacent bright dining and common room offers seating and communal games.

The floor-level showers of the shared sanitary facilities are modern and clean.

Each room has plenty of storage space and its own sink. Sleeping bags and towels must be brought or can be rented for a fee of CHF 15.00/person.

The nearby bus stop "Margeli" is almost right in front of the house.

During the specified opening hours, you will meet me at the reception if you would like to say hello.

Otherwise, I'm always available via the app, but I'm an early riser and go to bed around 10:00 pm. After that, you can still reach me via the emergency number, which should only be used in an emergency.

Sleeping bags and towels must be brought or can be rented for a fee of CHF 15.00/person.

Parking is available right in front of the house on the street. Please let us know before arrival if you need a parking space. (Parking: CHF 5.00 per day)

Since we report the guests to the Adelboden Tourism Office and pay the tourist tax for each guest, we each need the first and last names, nationality and birthday date of each guest.
Each guest will receive a guest card, where they receive partial discounts.
No parties are allowed. Quiet hours at night are strictly to be observed from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The beautiful Chalet Allegro is located in the green valley of Gilbach, in Adelboden in the Bernese Oberland.
It is ideally located in a quiet area while being perfectly connected to the village, ski slopes and hiking trails. Fully equipped, the chalet warmly welcomes you in a cozy atmosphere.

Here you will find rest and be amazed by the beauty of nature whether it is summer or winter!

The space
The heart of the chalet is the cozy living room and dining area with a wonderful view of the mountains. A nice garden and lovely terrace allow you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and even dine outside !
3 bedrooms on the ground floor and 2 attic rooms (please note the ceilings are low) allow up to 8 people a relaxing and comfy stay. Downstairs you will find a well-equipped kitchen area and 2 bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a bathtub)

It is easily accessible from the roadway and there is space to park 2 medium-sized cars in front of the house (snow removal might be necessary during winter).

Guest access
The whole Chalet is available to the guests, as well as the garden and a cellar for storing bigger items like skis, sledges or bikes.
