All floors are made with Laminate. Modern kitchen with large frigo and deep freezer. all is fully furnished. All bed sheets are included also as well as the kitchen and bath towels. Also in wintertime the approuch roads to Zweisimmen and the Chalet are without any problems. Covered car port. A small footpath leeds down to the Center within few minutes. There are all shops needed available. Also pharmacy. durgstore, hospital.

Very comfortable and cozy swiss chalet 3 minutes walking distance from Zweisimmen town center. Great view of the Rinderberg.
In winter you can walk in 5 minutes to the Rinderberg skilift from where you have access to the entire ski-region of Zweisimmen, Saanenmoser, St Stephan and Schönried
In summer you can make fantastic hikes through the same region. Chalet is only 5 minutes walk from a very nice public swimming pool.
Parking spot included.
Note that you can only reach the chalet on foot via a set of stairs. (Nb. Not suitable for very old people or people with limited mobility.)

We thought the price was fair. The only minor down side is the step access, 100 up or 120 down. We especially loved a fire at night. Bring your whole family! This large chalet apartment on two floors with 4 br for 8 adults & 2 br for 5 kids offers enough space for everyone. One bedroom, the kitchen and the living room are on the street level and are thus convenient for people that are not able to walk stairs.
A 15min walk from the center and walking distance from Rinderberg ski slope in Gstaad ski area. 15min drive to Lenk and 20min drive to Gstaad. The public pool of Zweisimmen and the "Forellensee" (whereyou can do trout fishing) are just around the corner. The quiet neighborhood with a view down to Simmental is a guarantee for a relaxing vacation in the Swiss mountains! Take the train to Montreux with panorma views.
If you need even more space ask for the additional lower level apartment withroom for up to 4 more guests. If available it can bebooked through the separately available listing here (Finkenwiese Suite).

Gstaad Mountain Rides is skiing, snowboarding and hiking up to 3000 meters above sea level. The Rinderberg cable car departs from the center of the village of Zweisimmen to directly connect most of the ski area and thus forms a perfect starting point for skiing in winter and hiking in summer.
47 ski lifts serve 200 kilometers of slopes, toboggan runs, snowparks and scenic winter hiking trails as well as countless cross-country skiing trails. Authentic landscapes, sumptuous sunny terraces and trendy snow bars are all invitations that cannot be refused.

The charming Chalet Weidli is a cosy oasis for guests who are looking for clean, well-kept, quiet accommodation to relax, read, knit, hike, ski or just to reflect. It offers two bedrooms on two floors, a living room, an open kitchen, a bathroom and an open gallery with an additional bed. The house is tastefully furnished and of high quality.
Because of the open gallery with unsecured stairs it is not suitable for small children.
The space
The detached chalet was built by our family in 1971. The house lives from the love for details, selected furniture, the open architecture as well as the beautiful view of the valley and the mountains. The walls are adorned with works of art by Swiss artists, and the bookshelves and the farmer's cupboard are filled with works by great writers, poets and thinkers and many entertaining DVDs. Since we also use the house for private purposes, we attach great importance to the careful use of the furnishings.
It offers a covered terrace with radiant heaters and movable glass panels that can be fully opened. The property is surrounded by a well-kept garden, garden furniture and a barbecue are available for summertime enjoyment. Guests have two uncovered parking spaces at their disposal, as well as a washing machine and a tumble dryer in the basement. The holiday home has the basic TV package, a DVD/BluRay player, streaming possibilities and free Internet (WiFi).
The chalet is in a quiet and sunny location on the edge of the forest, 10-15 minutes on foot from the village centre of Zweisimmen with many shopping facilities and from the valley station of the Rinderberg gondola. By car it is about 20 minutes to Gstaad and Lenk, 45 minutes to Thun. Zweisimmen has good rail connections to Bern and Montreux.
Chalet Weidli is suitable for two to a maximum of four people. The bed in the upstairs bedroom (6.5m2) is 1.20m wide, the bedroom downstairs (8m2) offers a bed 1.40m wide. The additional bed in the open gallery is 1.60m wide. Because of the open gallery and the stairs without railings, it is not rented to families with small children under 5 years of age. Any liability in case of an accident is rejected by the owner.

Guest access
Except for a private, locked room and two locked boxes on the upper floor, the entire house is available to guests. In the rear cellar compartment there are also private objects which are not available to the guests.
Other things to note
Zweisimmen can be reached easily by train. If you arrive like this and have a lot of luggage with you, it is advisable to take a taxi. The chalet offers two parking spaces. The access road is usually cleaned in winter, but in case of fresh snowfall the relatively steep road to the chalet can be snow-covered. Behind the house there are various paths for walks or the beginning of extended hikes.
