- "This is a large well equipped chalet in a great location for the skiing. Bedding was provided for the number of people in our party which enabled us to pick the bedrooms we wanted. There is a good size kitchen and we were able to cook in on several evenings (once we worked out how to use the oven). It is a short walk (less than 5 minutes including steps) to the main lifts. The town center is 10 minutes away (uphill on the way back) and there is a decent supermarket 5 minutes walk away. The skiing is good for a mixed ability group, although we had sunshine and hot weather all week which made it slushy by early afternoon."

Skiing & Snowboarding: The seven resorts of Leysin, Villars, Gryon, Les Diablerets, Les Mosses, Rougemont and Chateau-d'Oex make up the spectacular skiing area of Alpes Vaudoise, the skipass covers all resorts and is even free to under 9s. With 74 lifts and 220km of downhill pistes (135 miles) this must be one of the 'prized areas' for skiers visiting Switzerland. The region is just 115km from Geneva and can be reached in nine hours or less on mainly motorways from Calais. The Bern-Lausanne-Geneva motorway goes right past the 'gateway town' of Aigle and from here you turn off to Leysin or to Villars via Ollon.
Leysin has 17 lifts and a snow park with a half pipe, and ski tours and snow-shoe treks offer skiers and snowboarders ideal opportunities for enjoyment. - "We had never heard of Leysin but wanted a chalet with atleast 3 bathrooms and regular sized beds. The pictures looked amazing and we decided to go ahead. The instructions to get to the place, to get the key, the folders with all the brochures of the equipment and things to do in the area were so comprehensive, we felt right at home. Equipped with all the conveniences you need and then some, chalet Roundhouse was a delight to stay in. We canceled 3 of our excursions just to spend more time together in the house, on the deck, cooking together and playing board games. Everything was spotlessly clean and in it's right place so was easy to find. I happened to mention to my host that we were missing having a toaster and she had it dropped off through a friend. Now that's showing an extra level of care I was not expecting. Having Hefti sports and the cable car just a stones throw away from the chalet meant that we were in the heart of the action, even though it felt as if we were in a remote place. Couldn't ask for a better location. Thanks Mary and Steve for amazing holiday. It was my mother's 75th birthday and she is totally thrilled. Leysin was a discovery. We shall recommend it to all our friends who tend to tread the beaten path."

very nice cottage for 4/6 people with exceptional views and great sunshine in a very quiet environment, close to the gare de versmont. the large living room, very clear, is borde by a balcony and a south facing terrace facing the Alps panorama. the dining room is equipped with a large convivial table and the living room side has two beautiful sofas facing a large screen of television with dvd player. the fireplace offers the possibility of making beautiful flambees. the kitchen is entirely equipped with cook in gas and oven, microwave and electric plate, dishwasher and large fridge / freezer and a nespresso coffee machine. at the same level is the bathroom with toilet and two bedrooms (one bedroom with double bed, mountain view and tv and the second bedroom with bunk beds). the third bedroom is accessible by a scale of menier and is attic (it does not not suitable for young children and is equipped with two beds that can be brought together to make a large). in the basement is the washing machine and linen and dryer and a place to store skis. nice garden with barbecue and sun loungers.

- "Well equipped chalet located just a block or 2 from the Versmont station. Everything in the chalet is in good working and most items have been upgraded. Our only issue was that the water heater was turned off. While not standard in the USA, the heater was turned on/off via the thermostat. Sort of felt this should have been programmed by the management company prior to our arrival."

Chalet La Clochette has four floors with a total area of 300 sq.m and a garage for three cars. The basement has an entrance hall, laundry room, drying room, and a family TV room containing a double sofa bed. The first floor has a well furnished spacious living and dining area with a beautiful log fire. On this floor there is also a modern, well equiped kitchen with seated breakfast bar and a guest toilet off the front door entrance hall. French doors open onto a fully equipped decked area with uninterrupted panoramic views of the Swiss Alps. The second floor had three double bedrooms with private bathrooms and all have access to french doors leading to a balcony with magnificent views. Also, the chalet is within a nice walking distance to all lower village restaurants (my 93 year old father enjoyed the walks past grazing cows, horses and goats). Don't miss the upper village entertainment like Top Pub and Davinda Restaurant."

Ideally located near Leysin-village train station, the "Mado" chalet on the edge of the forest enjoys a quiet location and good sunshine. The view of the Dents du Midi, the Chamossaire and the Dent de Morcles is exceptional. Access by car with free parking, shops and Coop nearby (10-minute walk).

Built in 1960 and perched on the hillside over-looking the sun-drenched village of Leysin, Chalet Les Trois Notes is situated just a couple of minutes walk from the main ski lifts, ski rental shop, swimming pool & spa centre, grocery store and more. The chalet offers all the modern comforts with skiing, hiking and walks all at your doorstep making it the perfect destination for family and friends to unwind after a busy day in the mountains.

Very nice chalet for 4/6 people with exceptional views and great sunshine in a very quiet environment close to Vermont train station.
The large living room, very light is bordered by a balcony and a south facing terrace facing the alps. The dining area is equipped with a large convivial table and the living room side has two beautiful sofas facing a large TV screen with dvd player.
The fireplace offers the possibility of making beautiful flare-ups.

The space

Guests can enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Geneva, the Dents du Midi and the Diablerets glacier on the terrace. This is also the starting point for many walks, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Whether in summer or winter, our cottage will delight lovers of nature and calm.

The space
Alpine chalet located in Prafandaz – 1600 meters above sea level – in Leysin with a large garden terrace with panoramic views to the east, south and west. Great for families and nature lovers! While being located 5 minutes from the center of Leysin, its shops, restaurants, swimming pools, ice rinks, sledding, pumptrack, tennis and ski slopes (etc.).

🌲The interior is comfortably equipped: On the ground floor, a beautiful kitchen with wood stove and fully equipped ceramic hobs, a large dining table, a living room with a pellet and wood stove (which are obviously provided), a sofa, 2 armchairs and a bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine. Upstairs, a master bedroom with a double bed (140/200) and a mezzanine with a double bed (140/200) and a large room separable by a curtain with 2 single bunk beds (4 beds). We can lend you a travel crib for babies and small children on request at the time of booking. Storage is available: upstairs there is a wardrobe with hangers, two large chests and a large shelf. 2 tables, which can be used as desks, are available upstairs.

🌲Outside, a large terrace on the east and south side with a large table, two parasols, 4 deckchairs and a barbecue. A large stone fountain will delight children who want to cool off in the summer. In winter, the mountain pasture turns into a gigantic toboggan run! Be sure to take them with you.

The chalet is not directly accessible by ski from the Leysin slopes (except for cross-country skiing).

Basic products, local & often organic, are available in the kitchen and for maintenance.

Accessible by car when there is no snow. In winter, it is possible to park in the parking lot of the restaurant de Prafandaz and walk up the remaining 50m.
The road between the restaurant and the chalet is gravel for the last 100 meters and is not suitable for cars that are too low. Likewise, the climb to the restaurant from the main road, in case of snow, must be done in 4x4 or with good snow tires.

No wifi so far but efficient 5G network available. We can watch Netflix without any hassle.

For the La Grande Prafandaz party room, next to the alpine chalet, we rent it through our website of the same name. Please do not apply for this one through Airbnb. The party room is obviously not rented when there are guests at the alpine chalet.

You can go up to Prafandaz by car and park next to the Alpine Chalet, if there is no snow. there are 3 places available. If there is snow, parking available at the restaurant of Prafandaz, 50 meters from the alpine chalet.

By public transport: TRAIN AIGLE- LEYSIN GRAND HOTEL then, you have to climb on foot or by taxi to Prafandaz (approx. 30mn climb).
A free SHUTTLE BUS goes around the Village of Leysin and goes up to the Grand Hotel.
TPC bus from Sépey, L'Etivaz, Les Mosses or Château D'Oex: See schedules on the application of TPCs. The closest stop is Leysin Feydey.

Other things to note
We are organic bud farmers (Les Ateliers en Crettaz - Barroud family) concerned about sustainable development who promise you a natural cleaning of your home and your sheets/linens. The products available (olive oil, apple cider vinegar, coffee, black tea, sugar, salt, pepper, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher detergent, sponge, soap) are organic and as local as possible. They come from our sustainable grocery store located in the center of Leysin (La Guintsette) where you are welcome of course. They are sold in bulk, so you may provide you with basic products in small quantities. Even the toilet paper comes from a Geneva company and is bought in bulk, without plastic.

You'll be staying in an agricultural environment. Quiet most of the time but tractors are active during hay and regains season. Our cows and ewes don't have bells, which doesn't stop them from being heard. In short, alpine life...
