- "Allons revenir" - "We stayed in this lovely chalet for a week in February and had an excellent time. The chalet is a gem - you have a stunning view from living room, dining area and two of the three bedrooms. All rooms are tastefully decorated and way nicer than you could imagine from the pictures. There is a well equipped kitchen, which has everything you need...we loved that everything was in a great condition and super clean. The beds are really comfortable and duvets warm enough for those really cold nights. The bathrooms were modern and clean. An absolute plus was the fireplace, where we spent every night. After skiing we sat outside on the sun terrace, having a marvelous view towards Mont Blanc. After a couple days we found a way to ski down to the chalet, but its not for beginners. If you'd rather stay on the slopes, you would have to walk 5-10 minutes up the road. Skiing down to the gondola is ok, but not for beginners also. There is a garage with plenty of space for skies, shoes, sleds, ...kids loved to use the hill in front of the terrace for sledding. We would definitely recommend this chalet to other families and would love to come back!"

Near to Villars, very peaceful

- "We (a large, extended family) spent a week in this lovely, comfortable chalet in Chesieres. The view was expansive and amazing! Snow covered mountain peaks, rocky peaks, green trees and the valley below! We sat for hours enjoying the view! The chalet was well equipped and had nice linens and big comfy towels. The kitchens were well equipped and easy to work with. A large table was present on the upper floor which accommodated our large group. There were some games for the younger children to play with and a small grassy area with a swing, trampoline and sun chairs for when the weather was good. There were many books and DVDs available. The owner was amiable and easy to contact when needed. The chalet is in a great location for summer activities and stores are nearby. We were all sad when the time came to leave!"

Manoir Montesano is an elegant, four-storey Swiss villa for eight guests, with four bedrooms and four bath shower rooms.

The four bedrooms are all spacious and bright, and two have doors to a balcony. One has an en suite shower room and there are two other shower/bathrooms. Beds in two of the rooms can be arranged as a large kingsize or two singles, making it perfect for children or couples.

There's plenty of space to get together at the villa, with the ground floor devoted to a more formal area. The well-equipped kitchen is here, with a large dining table where everyone can eat together and a stylish seating area with a sofa in a turret area. Beautiful glazed doors open on to a furnished balcony where you can enjoy cocktails or perhaps coffee after your meal.

Things are more relaxed on the lower ground floor - a huge cosy sofa and chairs are arranged around a large widescreen TV, and there's a round dining table in the turret area with chairs and bench seating. There's a games room on this floor as well as a drinks fridge, the sauna and a shower room and WC. If you'd rather work out than relax, there's a gym on the first floor.

Outside, there's a large terrace with a pool/table tennis table and steps down to a pétanque court. The garden is terraced but there's a grassy area shared with neighbouring apartments where children can plan, and guests have access to shared tennis courts.

From our house you can go for walks, big or small, and Arveyes train station is 500 meters away

The space
The apartment is located on the ground floor of our cottage where we live year-round. It has 2 rooms with a veranda where you can admire the birds that come to feed in the nest box.
We can provide you with a crib and highchair, have everything you need in our kitchen to prepare good meals. There is an espresso machine, we offer the first cartridge and then we sell them at cost price, i.e. CHF 0.50 per capsule. There are 2 bathrooms, including one in the bedroom.
We have wifi and TV with some international channels. You can enjoy the ground floor terrace and discover the magnificent panorama.

In winter there is a shuttle bus every 20 minutes, departing from Arveyes station, which takes you to Villars until the departure of the Roc d'Orsay cable car. It is possible at this location to rent a locker for your boots and drop off your skis if you do not wish to take your car to go skiing and do not want to bother with taking the bus.

The space
This individual chalet is organized on three levels:

On the first floor: a master bedroom with a magnificent view of the Swiss Alps, a separate bedroom with a single bed, a cosy WC.

On the ground floor: a room with one pull-out bed (for one or two persons) with access to the balcony for a direct view of the mountains, a living room with its unique furniture and access to the terrace, a bathroom (bathtub/shower), a washing machine, a separate WC, an equipped kitchen (with a new dishwasher among other things).

On the lower level: a room with three single beds (including two bunk beds) with direct access to the terrace and garden, a WC, a washing machine, a small separate shower, a small kitchen (fridge, two hobs, storing areas, food essentials), a nice wooden living room with a dining area. Direct access to the terrace and the garden.

The chalet is equipped with central heating, a TV with many programs in several languages, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs, wifi, books and documentation on activities to do in the region.

Facing south, the garden preserves the privacy of its occupants thanks to the luxuriant vegetation that creates large pleasant shady areas. It is perfectly equipped with new garden furniture, a BBQ and ball games.

Two terraces with sitting areas are further available.

Guest access
The whole chalet is available to guests. One parking space is available in front of the chalet for car travellers. You will find other free parking spots around 100 meters away from the chalet (on the same small road). You can reach Villars-sur-Ollon via Bex by train and by bus from Aigle. Villars train station is a 10-minute walk away, Arveyes train station is a 5-minute walk from the chalet.

Villars is the perfect place for your holidays in winter as in summer. Come to us to experience fresh and clean air! Villars is also the place where past "Beau Soleil" and "Aiglon" students will enjoy coming with their families to show how it was back then in the Swiss mountains! The space
Chalet Mirador has lots of light, an open plan living area and kitchen, all looking out to wonderful views, sunrises and sunsets. There is a south facing balcony for the two larger bedrooms, an entrance hall for kit and a fridge room for more kit!

Guest access
Guests can use all rooms in the chalet and evenaccess the nuclear shelter for curiosity if not comfort! The garden is quite large for our area and spreads over slopes and flat land to enjoy eating and playing outside.

Other things to note
Our goal is to share our space with others so that they can enjoy it as we have and make it a happy dwelling. We do have steps to access the chalet from the parking, this is typical of Alpine chalets of a certain period, so steady legs are best for a comfy stay here. There is one area on the large drive that has a no parking sign that needs to be respected. Thank you.

The chalet is a 5 minute walk from the free ski bus, a 3-4 minute drive to the train station (where a train takes you up to skiing at Bretaye; there is a car park opposite the station) and a 6-7 minute drive to the gondola (also large car park). There are lockers to store skis etc at the train station and gondola.

Built in 1938, the chalet is located on a quiet private road. It is easily accessible by car as well as by public transport. A cozy French country house style, mixed with individual designer pieces, characterizes the carefully selected interior design, grown over generations. The charming village, as well as the cable cars are a 10-minute walk away. In winter, ski in ski out is possible in good snow conditions.

The space
The chalet is bourgeois, tastefully decorated, allowing you to move into a different, past time. At the same time, nothing is missing, the kitchen is at the stand of the 90s, but equipped with everything you could wish for.
Due to the many bedrooms spread over 3 floors, there is enough space for families and friends. The house is very straightforward and child-friendly and the table tennis room on the ground floor can be a magnet until late at night.

The entire house with balconies and a large garden is available to guests. There is parking outside the house where at least 3 cars can be parked.

Other things to note
The chalet is a pure wooden house, so it is especially important to deal with fire. In the living room, a modern thermal spa was installed, which is to be used to support the heating and at the same time exudes a very cozy atmosphere.

The space
The chalet is fully for the guest, with terrace and garden. It is made of a practical basement to leave skis, jackets, boots and with a cleaning machine and dryer, and then upstairs a nice open space with living room with fireplace, dining room and fully equipped kitchen, all opening on the terrace, the garden and the view. The garden is oriented towards the South with barbecue and basic garden furnitures. On the first floor, there are 3 nice bedrooms, two of them with double bed and balcony. Two bathrooms (1 with bath, 1 with shower) and a separate toilet are completing the interior of this very nice to live chalet full of daylight.

It was completely renovated in 2014. We dressed it in old wood gives it a very warm atmosphere.

Traditional Swiss chalet of considerable stature, quietly located in a residential area at 1250m overlooking the hamlet of Chesieres on the edge of Villars just 20mins walk from the Roc d'Orsay gondola lift. The Chalet with its three floors all facing South, sits on a bench of private land with uninterrupted views across the Rhone Valley to the 4,000m+ massif stretching between Mont Blanc and Verbier, framed by the Dents des Morcles and du Midi - one of the iconic views of the Alps.

The space
Chalet Cormanon is a 6-bedroom chalet of circa 185sqm (2,000sqft) and is ideal for two families or single large groups. The house is divided into two apartments one above the other on the upper ground and first floors, sharing a secure and private front door and stairway from a generous parking area. Each apartment has 3 double bedrooms with bathroom, a kitchen, a big living space and south facing balcony, enabling flexible use suiting either those groups who prefer to be all together or those who might prefer a degree of privacy and separation. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CHALET IS SHARED WITH TWO SMALL BASEMENT APARTMENTS UNDER THE CHALET THAT AREN’T PART OF THE LETTING, on the lower ground that are let separately and co-located with the basement laundry room for all guests.

The Cormanon has a 200mb distributed broadband service installed with decent media systems to each apartment and as a family home, it is also widely equipped with books, games, toys, garden games, cooking facilities, bbq and garden furniture. It is equally comely in both winter and summer as a place from which to explore both the Vaudois Alps and the Swiss Riviera, close enough to amenities but secluded enough for a really relaxing holiday.

A car is useful, but not essential as buses ply the main road and in the ski season, a free shuttle bus stop is just 25m from the front door. Having said this, the house is on quite a steep hill so winter tyres are essential and walking is for the reasonably fit and energetic.

The house overlooks the hamlet of Chesières, with its own deli-butcher/baker, cafe and popular Italian restaurant only 2 mins by foot. A further 500m up the main road is the town-centre of Villars, an elegant, discrete and well-appointed summer and winter resort that has been attracting discerning families over generations.

Guest access
Guests will have access to both the upper floors on an exclusive basis, with a private front door and stair from the upper ground floor parking area. Each apartment has a separate internal lockable door, so the apartments comprising the letting are entirely self-contained which will suit multiple family groups when sharing. There is internal secured access down to a basement laundry room and drying area. There are two basement apartments at the bottom of this stair, both let on a long-term basis, but they have access from the gardens at the lower ground level. The garden is generally used in warmer months clear of snow, when guests have access (shared with long-term tenants below) to the south facing garden with exceptional aspect and views across the village towards the high Alpine ranges along the Swiss-Italian-French border.

Other things to note
The building was built in 1929 and while it is kept in good condition and well furnished to make a homely and cosy vacation home, it is also an old structure with only MODERATE sound insulation between floors. We ask for consideration in terms of noise, as the main draw of the Chalet is that, while well located by the centre, it is also in an extremely quiet and peaceful spot. There are only five other Chalets at all close by, giving guests a real sense of seclusion.

The Chalet has a recently installed heating and hot water system and although an old chalet with single glazing, it is always very warm with constant hot water on demand. All the windows are shuttered and while there are no curtains, this does ensure both dark nights for the best sleep as well as fresh ones on warmer nights when windows can be opened inwards, while shutters remain securely shut.

The beds are all high quality handmade frames with handmade sprung matrasses by Harrison Spinks of Leeds (UK) for a really comfortable sleep after a long hard day in the mountains.

The lane passing by the Chalet, after which the Chalet is named - Chemin de Cormanon - is one of a handful of byways that run from the main road through the village up into the pasture lands above and would have been an old droving road into the prairie from the farms in the old village. While it does connect to other lanes through the pasture above the village, the lane is effectively a dead-end. Thus, all traffic is very much local with the odd car passing to and from their homes above the Chalet and there is hardly any traffic at night, if at all, and not a great deal in the day.
