Chalet Bergheim is a magical, private, ski-in/ski-out mountain chalet, built in 1933 in traditional walliser style wooden construction. Renovated in 2014, the chalet is furnished with bespoke, hand made furniture and natural materials but with all of the features you would expect in a modern mountain chalet including free wi-fi throughout, a whirlpool bath and open log fire. The chalet is completely surrounded by nature with virtually no neighbours in sight, and you don't have to share the property with anyone! Outside there is a large private garden and terrace, with a beautiful natural 8 person cedar hottub, fire pit and bbq facilities, perfect for soaking up the sunshine. The chalet is sold on a self-catering basis but a catering service or fresh food delivery may be available on request.

LOCATION

The chalet is in a stunning location above the village of Zermatt with dramatic views of the majestic Matterhorn. Far enough away to feel remote but close enough to access the many amenities Zermatt has to offer.

Zermatt is a car-free village and hence access by private car to the property is not possible.

IMPORTANT IN WINTER: In winter it's only possible to access the property to within 400m by taxi, and after that you must go by foot on a prepared winter trail (direct access by taxi possible in summer). From the town to the chalet it is a 20-25min walk uphill. There is however an elevator during lift opening hours which reduces the amount of uphill and walking time! From the ski piste to the chalet there is a natural path which can be a little slippery with snow and ice. Prior to guest arrival we clear the steps of snow and lay wood chips. However, should there be snowfall then snow clearance may be required during your stay. Should there be insufficient snow on the piste next to the house, it is 400m walk to a snow-sure piste. In winter free luggage transfer is available Saturdays 10am until 4pm unless very poor weather conditions. You therefore must plan to be in Zermatt before 3:15pm at the latest on arrival day!

Our Millennium Haus flat is modern, light and airy (64 sq. m.) and unlike many flats offered in Zermatt, has DIRECT road access - NO long flights of stairs to climb! Built in 2000 it is in a quiet location with uninterrupted views south to the Matterhorn from the bedroom, living room & terrace. 'Talk about a room with a view-this is terrific!' wrote a guest, we are a 5 minute walk (2 minute by taxi) from the Sunnegga lift.

Non Skiers, Poor Days...: Zermatt is a fantastic skiing resort with hundreds of kilometres of skiing in Zermatt, Cervinia and Valtournenche. But it also has good facilities for non skiers - most of the mountain pathways are kept fully open in Winter so walkers can arrange to meet the skiers at your favourite restaurant! There is indoor swimming, outdoor skating and curling rinks as well as tobogganing - great fun when the weather is a bit iffy! Plus a village which offers historic walks daily, an Alpine Mountain Museum and take a horse drawn carriage tour.

You can now buy a ski pass which allows you to take days off!

Restaurants and Apres Ski: We know of no other resort with such a wide variety of excellent restaurants both on and off the mountain, Zum See has been voted best mountain restaurant and many others offer a fantastic variety of mouth-watering menu's. The hamlet of Findeln just below Sunnegga offers many great little stubli's such as Franz & Heidi's, Chez Vrony, Paradies, Reid etc. - you will not be disappointed.

In the evening Zermatt has scores of excellent venues for eating Swiss traditional fare plus French, Italian, Mexican, Thai, Japanese, Greek etc. and after your meal there’s an excellent places such as the Pollux, Moods, Elsie’s and the Pink Elephant often with live music.

The Telegraph sums it up in its Ski Supplement (8th October 05) 'Best mountain restaurants in the world, which explains the lack of will to ski after lunch. Lunch in Chez Vrony, Zum See or any other of a dozen other mountain restaurants is a gastronomic experience without parallel.

Welcome to Heinz Julen Loft, a luxurious 3 bedroom chalet located in the town of Zermatt, Switzerland. This home was designed by the world famous architect Heinz Julen. It was his private home where he hosted many rock-star parties. The Loft is perched high on a hill to give spectacular views, yet easy access to the heart of the village. The use of glass throughout the chalet gives guests a unique view of the village and the Mischabel Mountains. Access is a 2 minute walk from the top of the Omnia Hotel lifts, for which you will have a special key. The village end of the lift delivers you to the main street of Zermatt, close to the church.

The main living room has a suspended and illuminated table which can be raised and lowered from coffee table, to dining table, to ceiling height; the latter creating a large party space. In one corner you can play on a baby grand Steinway piano, while in another you can sink into a large sofa and gaze simultaneously at the stunning views and at the cozy fireplace set into the glass wall. From this level you can go to the 1st floor which has a large open plan kitchen, a free standing hot tub, a dining alcove, a cantilevered bar area and a guest toilet.

Overlooking the main loft area, there are 2 double en-suite bedrooms, one above the other. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with shower and WC, and a balcony enabling guests to enjoy the views. Welcome to Chalet Castor, a luxurious three storey Chalet with 4 double bedrooms.

Its location provides the best of both worlds: spectacular views and easy access. 200m from the Matterhorn Express base lift station and resort run there is a street level tunnel which leads you to a lift (elevator) built inside the mountain, from the top of which there is a gentle 2 minute walk to the property and an exterior stairway. The chalet comes with an electro wagon and stair-lift which our staff will use to move your luggage and shopping as required.

This luxurious ski chalet with 4 bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms, large enough for families or groups of 8. All bedrooms can be configured as twins, and have their own TV.

Side by side, tucked against a beautiful hillside, the numerous balconies and large terraces give you bird’s eye views of the village and the surrounding mountains, encompassing all 3 of Zermatt’s ski areas. Although it does not have a Matterhorn view, the sun baths the chalet as soon as it emerges.

Guests can leave theirs skis and boots in the tunnel’s ski-room. The entrance to the tunnel is 200 metres from the end of the ski runs beneath the Matterhorn Express lift station, just a 4 minute walk from the church square.

On the ground floor you have the sitting room and an open-plan kitchen with the dining table, both giving on to the terrace accessed through French windows. There the chalet enjoys the use of its own unique private outdoor hot-tub surrounded by snow (depending on snow conditions), perfect to relax and enjoy the view (or the stars) after a long day in the mountains.

There is also a utility room with washing machine and dryer, and a guest W/C.

The space
The Graziella is a former Walliser Stable that has been transformed into a small holiday flat. The perfect combination of a rustic appeal with a touch of modern taste really makes the interior look harmonious.
This two-floor building with several little windows displayed all over the house is ideal to accommodate either 2 or 3 people.

The space
Chalet Bergheim is a magical, private, ski-in/ski-out mountain chalet, built in 1933 in traditional walliser style wooden construction. Renovated lovingly over the last 10 years, the chalet is furnished with bespoke, hand made furniture and natural materials but with all of the features you would expect in a modern mountain chalet including free wi-fi throughout, a whirlpool bath and open log fire. The chalet is completely surrounded by nature with virtually no neighbours in sight, and you don't have to share the property with anyone! Outside there is a large private garden and terrace, with a 8 person cedar hottub, fire pit and bbq facilities, perfect for soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the warm summer weather. The chalet is sold on a self-catering basis but a catering service may be available on request.

One of the only free-standing chalets in Zermatt, the chalet sleeps 6 adults comfortably in 3 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms (one with separate whirlpool room overlooking Matterhorn). With additional beds the maximum occupancy is 9 (max 6 adults, 2 children and 1 baby).

Nestled in the tree line at 1750m and overlooking the rooftops of Zermatt, the chalet is directly on the Sunegga ski-piste giving access to the 450 kilometers of pistes offered by the best known resort in Switzerland. Ski hard all day, grab a glass of wine and sit in front of the open fire or enjoy the evening sunshine on the terrace taking in the majestic views of the Matterhorn, that for us is the perfect day.

Or in the Summer, take the mountain bike up to a mountain lake for a swim, hit some single trail on the way down, go for a hike in the woods and then end the day with sausages on the bbq and a drink or two around a camp fire in the fire pit.

Chalet Bergheim is also 100% sustainable and carbon neutral. All heating and electricity comes from local hydropower and we offset carbon from luggage transfers and supplies.

IMPORTANT IN WINTER: In winter it's only possible to access the property to within 400m by taxi, and after that you must go by foot on a prepared winter trail (direct access by taxi possible in summer). From the town to the chalet it is a 20-25min walk uphill. There is however an elevator during lift opening hours which reduces the amount of uphill and walking time! From the ski piste to the chalet there is a natural path which can be slippery in snow and ice. Prior to guest arrival we clear the steps of snow and lay wood chips. However, should there be snowfall then snow clearance may be required during your stay - we provide woodchips and salt. In winter free luggage transfer is available Monday to Saturday 10am until 3:30pm unless very poor weather conditions. You therefore must plan to be in Zermatt before 3:15pm at the latest on arrival day!

The Chalet zur Arve has two separate apartments with 5 beds each. The upper apartment, large balcony and forecourt are partly clad in pine and larch wood. The bathrooms were completely renovated in 2024. Wonderful soapstone oven and the large kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and many extras.

There is a perfectly equipped open ensuite kitchen with a coffee machine, baking oven, microwave, and dishwasher as well as access to the south side terrace with a splendid view of the Matterhorn completed by an overview of the center of the mountain village.

The vast roofed terrace comprises a large dining table with eight chairs, two deck chairs, a sun umbrella, and wind protection. The entrance of the apartment offers a further possibility to enjoy the mountain panorama sitting on a small garden patio.

Based on the second floor you will find a large bathroom with a mountain view and bathtub, as well as two bedrooms, one with a mountain view.

The complete apartment offers you underfloor heating and two modern bathrooms with shower and bathtub. The ground floor of the chalet provides the ski room with ski boot heating. There is also a possibility to use the washing machine and tumbler, shared.

Chalet Sunnubiela has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard. It is modern and luxurious but the use of natural products, wood and glass ensure that it is still a cosy retreat. Situated in an elevated position in a wooded area of Zermatt the chalet offers tranquility whilst still being close to both the village centre and to the Klein Matterhorn cable car station. Both are just a 5 minute walk from this chalet which is reached via its own private tele cabin or a well kept footpath.

This luxury four floor chalet comprises of six bedrooms of which three are doubles complete with washbasins. There are also three single bedrooms. There are two bathrooms with shower and W/C and an enticing wellness area with infra red sauna, double Jacuzzi bath and separate shower. This can be used as a third bathroom.
There is a modern, well equipped open plan kitchen and dining area with dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, fondue, raclette etc and a beautiful dining table that comfortably seats ten people.
The spacious lounge area that leads on from here is light and airy thanks to the mezzanine floor above. There is an enclosed wood burning stove and ample comfortable seating for you to relax on and enjoy the impressive views that the double height windows afford. It is equipped with a plasma television with multi lingual channels, a DVD player, CD/Radio/iPod docking station and free wireless internet connection. The mezzanine floor above offers another quiet place to read and relax, while still enjoying the same Matterhorn views.
There is also a laundry room with washing and drying facilities for your use.

The chalet is let in its entirety, including the sauna and wellness room, the laundry room and its own private tele cabin which allows easy access from the street.

The Chalet “A La CASA” enjoys a very sunny location on the north-east side of the Zermatt village. It has an exceptional view of the village and the Matterhorn. In winter it is possible to ski right up to the front of the house. The house is connected by an elevator from the riverside. About 150 meters to the ski bus station, 8-10 min. walking distance to the center of Zermatt. Laundry in the main house.

We will gladly organize a cab for you upon arrival, these costs are not covered by us.

Free-standing Chalet Schipfa, with 195 sqm spread across two floors, is the quintessential Swiss chalet, traditionally built of wood with wooden ceilings and extensive wood panelling inside on the all the walls. The space
The chalet is very centrally located, perched on a hill overlooking the main church and street.
From the main street it’s a climb of 24 vertical metres with a distance of 290m, with no lift access. Our staff will be there upon arrival to take the luggage to the chalet. Prior to arrival, our staff will be happy to pre stock the chalet with groceries - 48 hours notice and a supplement. Pollux is a luxurious semi-detached chalet with mountain views, built in traditional Alpine style and bathed in sun.
On 3 floors there are 4 bedrooms with TV and en-suite bathrooms, a fireplace and are very well equipped open plan kitchen. On the private terrace there is an outdoor hot-tub.
All four bedrooms can be configured with double or twin beds. There is also a utility room with washing machine and dryer, and a guest W/C.

The space
Its location provides the best of both worlds: spectacular views and easy access. Tucked against a beautiful hillside, the numerous balconies and large terraces give you bird's eye views of the village and the surrounding mountains.

Access is easy: 200m from the Matterhorn Express base lift station run there is a street level tunnel which leads you to an elevator built inside the mountain. From the elevator exit there is a 200 metre walk to the chalet entrances, above a short open staircase.
Our staff will use an electro transporter to move your luggage and shopping as required.
Guests can leave their skis and boots in the tunnel’s ski-room.
