The chalet is located in car-free Aletscharena (romantic flair) at an altitude of almost 2000m. It takes approx. 20min from the gondola mountain station "Riederalp Mitte" & great supermarket (Coop) by foot - electric cabs are available (see Googlemaps "Chalet Rondo 1. Stock").

- "If you want to stay in a large soulless hotel then look elsewhere . There are numerous hotels in this region and I'm sure many are good, but what you get with chalet rondo is the keys to a private family home: echoes of children now presumably grown up; access to the owners' reading matter and musical tastes . The chalet itself is small but has everything you could need, cleverly designed to maximise the space . Perched on the side of the mountain the panoramic view from the balcony is of endless mountains including a glacier on the left and the Matterhorn in the distance on the right . The villages of Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp occupy a car-free plateau (we parked for a week at the cable car station in the valley floor for 60 euros ). Access is via cable car which can be expensive ( a 5 day family pass covering all lifts cost us 230 euros ). However it is worth getting an all-access pass as it allows you to get to different parts of the mountain for walks and attractions . The villages have metalled roads so pull along suitcases are fine, and for excursions the lift pass means that once you are at a certain altitude you can walk on relatively level ground (similar to a walk in Wales or Scotland but not mountain climbing ). So a moderate degree of fitness is required to get around, and while the route to the chalet from the cable car is on a level road the final approach is via a steep grass path so pack light ! "

Comfort is very important. Switch off on a sunny high plateau (car-free) located at almost 2000 m. Cozy and well-kept chalet in a very quiet, sunny location with a wonderful view of the "Flesch" and the opposite mountains of the Valais Alps and the Rhone Valley. In winter it is about 5 minutes from the chalet to your entry into the Aletsch Ski Arena. Walk. In the afternoon you can ski down to the chalet via a forest path.
The playground / soccer field can be reached in 2 minutes. If necessary, the first floor of the chalet can also be rented (ideal for two families).
The ground floor apartment of the chalet has a large sun terrace, 2 bedrooms (a box spring double bed and a Ligne Roset sofa bed) and a cozy living / dining area. There are also 2 bathrooms, each with a toilet.
Riederalp is car-free! You either arrive by train or park your car in the valley in Mörel and then take the cable car to Riederalp. Sustainability is important to us, which is why our chalet is powered by 94% renewable energy.

This beautiful chalet is located in Ried-Mörel (1250 m), a small village just below Riederalp which is part of the Aletsch Arena ski resort. in the winter and for beautiful walks, mountain biking and other activities in the summer. The chalet was completely renovated in 2016 and can accommodate up to 6 people. It has 3 double bedrooms (1 with a bunk bed), 2 bathrooms with shower, bath and toilet, a large living room area with a fireplace and an adjoining, fully equipped, kitchen (induction hobs, dishwasher, oven and a nespresso coffee machine) . There is WiFi available, a TV (Swisscom), Netflix and a DVD player.
Outside is a large balcony with sun loungers, a dining table and a bbq.
The entire house is at your disposal, except the attic. Immediately next to the house is a free parking space and another one 5 minutes' walk away. The rental price includes the use of WiFi as well as electricity and water. The price does not include the tourist tax, cleaning costs and bed linen. Towels and kitchen towels are available.

Our Chalet is a cozy family house on the outskirts of a small village in the Valais. Enjoy the view over the Rhone Valley. Choose from the many hiking trails. The cable car to the Aletsch UNESCO nature reserve is within walking distance.

In the chalet you will find books, games, you can play your own music from CDs or via Bluetooth. Wifi is available. We love to cook so the kitchen is fully equipped. On the balcony you can relax and enjoy the sun.

The chalet is still comfortable with 6 persons. However 4 out of 6 beds are for adults, the bunkbed is mainly suitable for children.

Enjoy the alpine tree in the middle of a beautiful 1.5 hectares of large Alp with unobstructed views of the Matterhorn, Weisshorn, Dom, Weissmies.

The Alpji, built in 1686, offers a journey back in time for its guests. The Stübli and kitchen are still in the original state of the alpine farm (until 2019 it had 3 cows and cheese was made daily).
The place is perfect to immerse yourself in the mountain nature, watch deer through the window early in the morning, and enjoy the noise of the noise.

The space
The alpi has a wet room with hot water for showering, washing dishes and hand washing. It has a dishwasher toilet in a separate annex, an organic toilet. Cooking is done either on wood or on 2 induction plates.

The wood is not included in the price: if desired, you can buy in the Coop or collected in the forest. Fire may be done in the wood-burning stove, but not in the Giltstein oven, as it no longer meets today's requirements.

Bed linen and bath towel are brought by the guests.
Mattress size: once 1.4 X 2m - all others are 90cm x 2m.

Spacious three bedroom apartment with own garden, directly at the Aletschpromenade between Riederalp and Bettmeralp

The space
Just on the border of the car-free Riederalp to the Bettmeralp, you will find this beautiful Alp chalet called Chalet Lieke. Consisting of two apartments, this chalet is a perfect accommodation for a family of 6. If you would like to take the grandparents as well, the lower apartment could be a perfect addition.
The location is practical; it lies just next to the Schweibe lift, which takes you up to Teiffe Bodu, from where you can ski down to the Moosfluh cable car or the Blausee lift on the Bettmeralp. In summer, Chalet Lieke is perfect for guests looking to find a place to wind-down and relax, or a basecamp for beautiful hikes in the Unesco world heritage site of the Aletsch Glacier.

The entrance of the apartment is at the backside of the chalet, where you'll find the garden for private use. Upon entering you will find several storage possibilities, access to the two bedrooms with two bunk beds and the bathroom with bath/shower combination, toilet and water basin. The living area is open, cozy and surrounds the fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped. From the living area, you will have access to the balcony which follows along the Southern and Western part of the chalet. Having an Aperitif in the evening sun will be a daily ritual.

A holiday site directly under the magnificent Aletsch glacier, in a Valais village with 27 inhabitants that is particularly worthy of protection. Experience holidays in untouched nature, absolutely quiet and without stress in the authentic hamlet of Greich, in the municipality of Riederalp. Chalet Mattalpji is in the very best location, about 120 meters from the Riederalp-West mountain station. The child-friendly Riederalp is car-free and easily accessible by cable car from Mörel. 50 m behind the house is a children's playground as well as one of the 17 ski lifts, which open up the over 100 km of ski slopes of the Aletsch Arena. Whether for biking, golfing, hiking or skiing and cross-country skiing, the Mattalpji is the ideal place to explore the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site of Jungfrau-Aletsch!

The space
The chalet features a full kitchen with a large refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher. Kitchen amenities include skillets, pans, baking and eating utensils, coffee maker, and dining wear.

Wi-Fi is also available, along with a digital radio with bluetooth capabilities.

A new fireplace has been installed and can be used upon a quick walk through with the host.

A new washer and dryer is also available for you at any time, in the cellar, for just a small fee.

Do note, our second Airbnb space is just above this space, so we kindly ask you to please be respectful of your neighbor's space and your noise level.

Renovated Chalet on Riederalp West with fireplace, just below the ski slopes

The space
Chalet Nachtigall is located just a few minutes from the Riederalp-West cable car station, located at about 2000 meters above sea level. The cozy mountain village offers several restaurants and bars all year round, as well as the necessary infrastructure for your mountain vacation. Chalet Nachtigall was renovated in 2021 and is now available for rent for your family vacations.

After entering the chalet, you will find a hallway where you can store your outdoor clothes and shoes. Another entrance door leads you into the living room with open, fully-equipped kitchen and dining table. In this room there is also a fireplace that is at your disposal. Adjacent to the living room there is a smaller, second living room with TV and a spacious bathroom. Also, from the living room you have access to the sunny balcony with a view of the Rhonevalley.

A staircase leads you to the upper floor where there are three bedrooms and a very spacious bathroom. The master bedroom has a double-bed, the second bedroom facing the valley has a bunk-bed and a single-bed and the third bedroom offers a single-bed.

Chalet Eichhörnli is located between Riederalp and Bettmeralp in Golmenegg in a very quiet and idyllic location. The cable car station and Coop are within 10-15 minutes walking distance. In winter the chalet and the valley station Moosfluh can be reached on skis (ski-in/ski-out).

The 4.5 room chalet has three bedrooms and offers space for a total of 6 people. It offers a picturesque view over the Rhone valley to the Mischabel group and Weisshorn.

The space
Just a few minutes away from cablecar station Riederalp-West, you will find Chalet Collini, perched on approx. 200 MASL. The cozy mountain village offers several restaurants and bars and all the necessary infrastructure for your mountain holiday, all year round. The chalet has three terraces on different heights, where you can enjoy the sun throughout the day.

After entering the chalet you will find a hallway to store your outdoor clothes and shoes. Directly to your right, there is the first bathroom with shower, toilet and water basin. The living area is composed of a lounge with television and fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Going up to the first floor, you will find the three bedrooms and a bathroom. The bathroom has a bath/shower combination, toilet and water basin. The master bedroom has a double bed and closet. Opening the curtains in the morning, you will wake up with a beautiful view of the Southern Alps. The second bedroom offers the same view, a double bed, a closet and access to the third bedroom. The third bedrooms is very cosily with a double bed.

Last but not least, the lower floor of the chalet will fulfill your comfort wishes of a mountain holiday. The lower floor of the chalet is a private spa with sauna, shower and relax area. Perfect to relax your muscles and mind after a long day of mountain adventures.

This beautiful chalet is located in Ried-Mörel (1250 m), a small village just underneath Riederalp which is part of the skiresort Aletsch Arena (www. aletscharena.ch). The Swiss Alps Aletsch region was the first UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in Switzerland and in the alps.
It's a 5 minutes walk to the telecabine and another 10 to get you on the slopes for skiing in wintertime and for great hikes, mountainbiking, and other activities during the summer.

Chalet Altishofen is located at 2000 meter altitude and is one of the most luxurious Chalets of Riederalp.

The Chalet has 4 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and toilet and a double bed. The kitchen and living room are in one big area of the chalet, which creates a cozy holiday atmosphere. Upon arrival there is a spacious storage room for skies and a boot-heating.

This chalet is ideal for a (young) family or a large group unto 8 people to have a cozy and sporting winter holiday.

The space
The luxurious space in the living room and kitchen with a real fireplace creates a unique home. The view of some 3000 meters of peaks and the Matterhorn makes the winter sports atmosphere all the way. You can easily ski from the chalet to the skilift and also easily ski back home after a great day of skiing.

All bedrooms have a double bed. The luxury of a private bathroom ensures that all guests have the necessary privacy.
