This Valais barn was built several hundred years ago and served the village and its families as a granary in winter.
It traditionally stands on the 9 stones so that the mice could not climb up to the grain. The barn was newly expanded in 2018 and has since been used by us privately and also by guests as a vacation home.

The space
Our traditional Stadel Idi offers about 100 m² of space ideally for 2 adults or families with 1-2 children. The abundance of wood, the natural materials and the modern but simple furnishings convey coziness. The large windows allow plenty of light into the living spaces.
It should be noted that the barn is narrow for 4 adults, or the two extra beds are better suited for children (80 × 190 cm).
The bedroom can be divided into two rooms with a sliding door, whereby the space above the sliding door is open: you can see the light and hear the sounds.

Guest access
Parking is available in front of the barn. Attention: The access is VERY narrow and there is no way to turn the car. This means that the return trip is only possible in reverse. So, only for experienced drivers. However, there are plenty of public parking spaces in the area (for a fee).

The whole barn with forecourt is at your disposal.
In Pauli, our wood and equipment shed, you will find everything you need to sit outside, make a fire and barbecue.

Other things to note
A highlight is certainly the large Aletsch Glacier. Whether comfortably by cable car to the Eggishorn or on foot, in winter with skis, or from the air with a paraglider, you should not miss this natural spectacle. Fiesch is a great starting point for mountaineers, hikers, climbers, bikers, skiers, winter hikers, cross-country ski enthusiasts....

Chalet Arnica is located in a small, very quiet side street in Fiesch. It is centrally located and you can walk to the hub that takes you to the Aletsch Arena in around 10 minutes. In the village itself you will find all the comforts of life. Shopping, strolling or having a nice meal. There is space for 2 cars in front of the house.

When you enter the entrance hall, you have space for coats and jackets with built-in wardrobes in a small entrance hall. The living room is very cozy, a large chalet table invites you to a sociable get-together and the fireplace with a crackling fire is at your disposal for cold evenings. The owner will provide you with the wood free of charge. Of course, the kitchen offers everything you need to serve a nice meal. There is also a newly renovated toilet on the upper floor.
The spacious balcony with comfortable seating offers you a magnificent view of the Upper Valais Alps. Here you can really relax and let your thoughts run free. "Feel free" is not just an empty phrase in this area.

The lower floor houses the 2 spacious bedrooms. Both bedrooms each have sufficient storage space and an en-suite bathroom with a large, walk-in shower. One of the bedrooms also offers a small, separate and tasteful home office. Here you can work in peace and still have a relaxing holiday. For your ski gear, hiking equipment, or luggage and suitcases, you can use the entrance hall on the lower floor with a practical bench. Of course, Chalet Arnica also has a washing machine and dryer in the storage room in the lower area.

The wonderfully well-tended garden is behind the house and cannot be seen from the outside. This offers you complete privacy. You will also find a handmade stone bench next to the balcony above. Especially in summer, this place in the garden has an almost mystical aura and offers incorruptible advantages. Here you can sunbathe without being disturbed, drink coffee and get away from the often stressful everyday life and really relax.

Our chalet accommodates 8 guests and has been family-owned since 1994. Our 4th generation is now vacationing in the chalet. In 2022, part of the chalet was renovated.
The chalet is well equipped and everything necessary is available. For example, in the kitchen, a basic set of spices is already there, so as a guest you don't have to bring everything with you or even buy new ones.

The space
All rooms can be used and the house, including a large balcony and terrace, is at guests' disposal. Only a small storage room will be locked. All four bedrooms are also lockable and spatially separated.

Located in the heart of the Aletsch region, our chalet provides an ideal base for various activities such as hiking, cycling, climbing, alpine tours, paragliding, and of course skiing/snow boarding. Our chalet is easily accessible by train, with the train station just a 15-minute walk away.

The space
The chalet has three bedrooms on the upper floor and two adjoining bedrooms on the ground floor. The upper floor features a spacious kitchen and living room. The chalet is ideal for larger groups; however, if you are traveling with a smaller group, it is also possible to rent only the upper floor.

Enjoy the beautiful view of the valley and the majestic Walliser Alps from the spacious balcony.

Guest access
Just a 10-15 minute walk away, you'll find the supermarket, bakery, and restaurants of the village, as well as the cable car and train station Fiesch, providing easy access to the Aletsch Arena ski area and excellent opportunities for train travel.

The entire chalet is at your disposal, including parking right in front of the door. You can check-in via a keybox.

The cleaning fee is including:
- compulsory bedsheets and towels for 6 persons
- compulsory kurtax (tourist tax) for 6 persons
- final cleaning of the house

The costs for an extra person are 20chf per person per night. This includes bedsheet & towels, and kurtax (tourist tax).

The space
The chalet is recently refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and whilst contemporary inside, offers a traditional log fire and cosy seating areas. A huge Oak table seating 12 makes for convivial dining.
