There are 2 fully furnished apartments available for our guests. Equipped with 4 beds each (bedroom with double bed and children's room with bunk beds), a bright daylight bathroom and an open kitchen with dining area. The house is quietly located in the Alpmatten, near the forest. Approx. 800 m from the cable car station, approx. 10 min. Walk. Not far from the ski lift and the road leading down the valley, which becomes a winter hiking trail to Betten in winter.

- "We haven been in haus thomson several times. The kitchen and bathroom is renewed. The village of bettmeralp is a beautiful skiresort, and the surroudings are superb. Around the house there is plenty of snowfun for the kids. EVerything was clean in the house. The furniture is a little old, but the kitchen now has an oven and a dishwasher. The village and the haus is somewhat expensive but the view and snowfun makes it worth"

The Josihaus stands on a sunny south-facing slope in the canton of Valais 1367m / asl in Martisberg, one of the smallest municipalities of Switzerland with 19 residents. The Binn Valley Nature Park and UNESCO Aletsch Glacier are next door. The Aletsch Arena ski area is easily accessible and has hiking trails located right outside the door. It can be in Josihaus but also work well, there is WiFi. In summer there is a classical music festival in the nearby village Ernen. The Josihaus is very quiet.

The house is clean, spacious, fully equipped and the old house is nicely decorated. Thomas is an excellent host and - if needed - very helpful. Martisberg is a wonderful starting point for various mountain walks. Backpack full of sandwiches and drinks and go! Definitely worth repeating!" - "It was a wonderful stay that we spent at the Josihaus, we found that the chalet is super well equipped (oven, hob, beds, sofa, plaid, candles, crockery, fireplace, etc.) we lacked nothing. It is a clean and beautiful chalet. The small negative point of the room are the duvets, we would have preferred a duvet for 2 people, it was really nothing, maybe only a tip. Thomas explained the instructions to us very well before returning and before leaving the chalet, responds quickly! Everything went very well, we were able to go sledding and snowshoeing not far away. We would love to come back and stay at the Josihaus again."

The chalet has a spacious living room, an open kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a large terrace and a garden. You can reach the chalet by car up to approx. 500 meters in front of the chalet and can then park your car in a paid parking lot.

In winter you can reach the well-known Aletsch Arena ski area with over 100 kilometers of pistes and a clear view of the most beautiful four-thousanders in Valais - Riederalp, Bettmeralp, Fiesch-Eggishorn, between 7 and 10 minutes by cable car directly from the center of Betten. For those who love snow, there are 75 kilometers of winter hiking trails on the family-friendly Aletsch plateau.

Betten is a small parish in the deanery of Brig in the canton of Valais and belongs to the municipality of Bettmeralp. In summer, the Bettmersee and the Märjelensee are available as options for a few relaxing hours by the water.

You will find plenty of shopping facilities for your daily needs in Betten or in Brig - Glis.

The house has two floors. On the ground floor there is a sofa bed for two people. A toilet with shower. A piano, and access to the basement where the 12V fridge is. Main access to the garden and opposite to the sauna. The 1st floor can be reached via a small ladder through a gap in the floor. Here is the loft-like living room with an open kitchen. Access to the large terrace and opposite to the 2nd small terrace. A ladder leads to the open gallery under the roof where there is another romantic double bed.

Just around the corner from the Alpmatten main street and its 'Schräglift' to the mainstreet of Bettmeralp, this Chalet is located in a favourable area for spending your holidays in the car-free Bettmeralp. The center can be reached within 10 minutes and the main street of Alpmatten is only one minute walking, from where you can ski down to the ski lift of Alpmatten. The three-story chalet will guarantee memorable experiences in one of the most well-known villages of Oberwallis.

The chalet features three bedrooms, of which two bedrooms with double beds and one bedroom for 4 people, divided over 2 bunkbeds. Upon entering the chalet, you will find an entrance area, which connects the staircase to the bedroom and the en-suite bathroom. The Chalet is just a few steps from the Bachtla Sports Center. The shopping facilities are all within walking distance. Also, the gondola lift of the Bettmerhorn can be reached in just a few steps. The rest of the ski lift can be reached directly from the chalet, perfect ski-in and ski-out.
