This property is just before the North/Elm Lane entrance to the world famous Chautauqua Institution! As a guest you will have all the convenience of being just 25 steps to the North gate and a trolley/bus stop picking up every 15 minutes or short 5-minute walk to the heart of the Institution!

At the same time, you're not required to have a full day pass unless you want to pay for it! Pick and choose your times and days according to your schedule and desired activities as opposed to being required to have a pass just to get to your place of stay! Large yard with multiple sitting areas and ample parking included!

- "We decided to go to Jamestown to visit the Comedy Hall of Fame. We decided on this condo and community as it was near the lake. Also was close to wine country on Lake Erie. Both were worth the visit. The owner Samuel was very helpful during our stay plus giving us suggestions for Dinning out." - "Upon arrival we were greeted by a great staffer then everything changed when we opened the door to our rental. First AC was not working, TV was not working and the disposal. There were large gouge marks in the 1970’s vinyl flooring in entry and Kitchen area and the bathroom vinyl flooring was pulling away from the walls and tub and on either side of the toilet. The refrigerator is old and has ice so thick it’s pushing on the freezer door. The carpet is soiled. I am not the only one who had problems with this unit, the complaints go back to 2018. The bed was great, The location was good. This unit sadly shows lack of updates and care. I will not be using Vrbo again."

Our garden (basement) apartment was newly constructed and furnished with touches from Meg's Swedish heritage in 2010. We hope you will love it as much as we do, and we try to provide everything you will need for a comfortable and memorable Chautauqua vacation. This is a great neighborhood for everyone from grandparents to kids, with neighbors who are friendly yet considerate of everyone's privacy. The buses and the trams stop just steps away at the corner. A/C and radiant floor heat are both available in the garden studio, which is on the lower level (basement), entered down a stairway at the rear of the double house. Twelve feet of windows on a light well give the apartment a bright and spacious appearance

Unit #315 is a quiet efficiency apartment on the third floor on Ames Avenue. Just cross the Plaza is the Post Office, Chautauqua Bookstore, Library, Afterwords Cafe.
