The property was clean, easy to access and up-to-date." - "The property itself is an older home divided into several rentals, most of which seem to be long term. The neighbors were quiet and cordial when we saw them. The space itself is pretty accurately portrayed in the pictures; however, the only difference is it feels bigger than the photos would indicate. The home has a central heating unit which puts off some strong heat (a bonus because some of our early April nights were chilly) and we learned window AC units were to be installed after we left (though we didn’t need them while there). The kitchen was well appointed with some consumables (there were plenty of pots and pans for cooking, more than enough utensils and plates, and even some basic pantry items provided). There was a Keurig with pods for use. The living room had what I assume was a pullout bed (we didn’t need it) but when in couch mode it was so comfortable that you wouldn’t even know it was a transforming couch like with other similar models. The bathroom was spacious and had clean, good towels as well as Q-tips, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner for use. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Multiple pillows of various type were available for use. I’m really nit picky sometimes, but I don’t have any serious issues with the property. Minor suggestions to better the space include: 1. Small table under living room tv at entry door for keys/stuff 2. Better extension cord management Overall those are minor things, and I’d recommend this rental regardless!"

The Village Flat is a 900-sq.ft apartment located on the 2nd floor of our carriage house behind our home. Recently renovated and tastefully furnished, this 2 bedroom/1 bath comes equipped with everything you need to have an amazing experience here in the village we love so much!

Entrance: You won't miss the cute Yellow Door and hanging flower baskets as you enter your private flat on the ground floor via Electronic Key Pad. So easy!!! Access to the Laundry room and extra storage are located on the ground level. To enter the flat, proceed up the charming painted stairs and you'll notice your welcome sign on the landing chalkboard. Welcome to the Village Flat!! :)

Kitchen: Upon entering the flat, you'll notice the bright and cheery updated kitchen fully stocked with all the essentials you'll need to make your morning coffee fix, stay-in dinners, or late-night popcorn snack. (Spices and all!) There is a Refrigerator with Freezer, Oven/Stove-top, Microwave, Sink and lots of cabinet/pantry space to store your groceries. We have a lot of great appliances: Blender, hot water kettle, coffee pot, hand mixer...even a Crock Pot! We try our best to provide you with the conveniences of home, but if there's something you're missing, please don't hesitate to ask. We may very well have what you need! :)

Dining Area: Eat-in kitchen table with 4 charming chairs. While you're having your morning breakfast, take a peek at the wooden box on the table with lots of local attraction brochures. I've included some of my favorite tourist destinations in the area, but I'm always happy to share many more of my 'local' favorites.

Mini-Bar: Right next to the kitchen you'll find our little bistro table, chairs and mini-bar...a perfect spot to unwind over a glass of wine and talk about your next adventure. (WiFi code will be provided) Feel free to check out the books, oldie-but-goodie DVD's, and games we've left for you to use during your stay on the bookshelf. We also have some workout equipment (weights/exercise ball/mat) so you can feel a little better about yourself after you've eaten at some of the delicious spots nearby! We know you'll also enjoy the Nest Thermostat on the wall behind the couch where you can easily control the temps!

Bathroom: Updated/Full bathroom equipped with towels, shampoo, body wash, stool for children, hair dryer, toilet paper and kleenex. What else can I say...and it's a bathroom. ;)

Bedrooms: The Village Flat has 2 chic bedrooms with (in my humble opinion) comfy and cozy bedding. One with a king-size bed and desk and the other with a queen bed, 6-drawer dresser and chair. Both rooms have great closet space filled with some hangers, shoe organizer, and laundry bin.

Speaking of Laundry: There is a Washer, Dryer, Laundry Detergent, places to hang clothes, and a table to fold located on the ground floor of the flat. If you'd like us to show you how to use them, we'd be happy to do that upon check-in.

The Great Outdoors: While staying at the Village Flat, we're happy to share our back yard, outdoor table and four chairs with you during your stay. We also have 4 parks within a block from our house so there is plenty of space to play catch, enjoy a picnic, and soak in this beautiful Western NY sun and air!

This hidden gem of WNY is available all year round and provides a much more comfortable and authentic experience for your getaway compared to a boring hotel/motel setting. Our home is a Sears & Roebuck Catalog Home that was built in 1940 as a 3 family home. The apartment sleeps a maximim of four, has a bedroom with a queen bed and and a Murphy queen bed located in the extended living room equipped with privacy drapes. Only registered guests are allowed and there's parking for one car. Please note, in light of the recent Social Distancing recommendations (per CDC guidelines), we are leaving the apartment empty for at least three days between guests, to allow the apartment to refresh between visits. Of course, we thoroughly clean after each visitor, using an anti-bacterial cleaner. The entrance is specific to the Apartment, so no need to share a door.

Also, besides our normal high temperature laundering, we have spare pillows and a spare comforter, to alternate, allowing more time between users.

We've fully remodeled our 1 bedroom apartment! It's right in the center of what's happening in the village, and surrounded by a great selection of restaurants, pubs, a brewery!, sushi, a bakery, many galleries, museums, Fisher Price Toys! - all within a short walk. There can also be found great skiing, hiking, and biking nearby. Our ice rink is just down the street!

We've thoroughly updated the apartment in our 1860's mercantile building, with a gorgeous shower, completely modern kitchen, and a roomy bedroom (with king size bed, of course!)
East Aurora is a unique village, with a well known history in western New York - Elbert Hubbard and his Roycrofters brought East Aurora to fame in the early 1900's Arts and Crafts Movement. With the restoration of the Roycroft Inn and many of the original buildings of the Roycroft Campus, East Aurora has seen a nice resurgence overall. It's a great little village to explore, with many galleries, museums, restaurants and pubs, plus a nice selection of small retail shops.
Outdoor activities are abundant... We can direct you to great parks in the area, primitive or not, for hiking and biking, or simply picnicking with a bottle of wine!

- numerous County parks within a half hour's drive
- Niagara Falls is an hour's drive
- Letchworth State Park is a 45 minute drive
- good alpine Skiing is a half hour
- EA's very own hockey and skating rink is two blocks away.
We both grew up here in East Aurora, and we love it. East Aurora is a lovely small village, with wonderful 'local' character & charm. We think you'll love our place.

Situated in the business district of the Village of Hamburg you step off your front porch to all that area has to offer… shops, restaurants, movie theater and more! A large, bright, fully renovated two bedroom, one bath apartment that sleeps up to six with day bed. The front of the apartment consists of one large expanse with windows across the entire front. That space is divided into a TV room on one side with a 75” Samsung QLED HD and a cozy gathering area for reading, chatting or cocktails on the other. The dining room is off the TV room, accessed thru the “library” and has a table that seats 6 but can handle 8 easily. The fully equipped kitchen is across the hall from the dining room and has a fold up/down wood table that is counter height and seats 4 as well as an oven/range, fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and utensils, etc. to prepare your own meals. Down the hall is a full bathroom with a large walk-in shower and the 2 bedrooms that both have queen beds, dressers and full closets. To top things off you’re only a 4 mile drive to Highmark Stadium, 10 miles to downtown Buffalo and less than 20 to WNY’s fantastic ski slopes, “Wonder of the World” Niagara Falls, the Canadian border, Niagara on the Lake and as it’s only an hour and a half drive away, a day trip to Toronto!!

-Some people are surprised to find that parts of Lockport are somewhat rundown. This is not just an issue with this particular neighborhood. Despite this, the area is quite safe and we've never had any safety issues here.

-This is a “budget” offering, NOT a luxury hotel. Nearby hotels for this size typically charge much more. This house was recently remodeled and furnished, but it’s an old home built in the early 1900s, so certain imperfections should be expected. We work hard to provide a great experience for our guests, but please have realistic expectations!

-Some of the photos for this listing were shot by a photographer with professional equipment, which can cause the space to look larger and/or brighter than it actually is.
