We've had many guests book 30+ nights and we do offer a large 15% discount for monthly bookings. Also, for your safety and convenience, we only book through this app (no traditional leases or "under the table" agreements). If the dates are available, you're welcome to book multiple months and the app will charge you once a month (the same rhythm as a traditional lease).

"What kind of coffee maker do you have?"

We have a drip coffee machine, it can brew a steaming hot cup with single-serving or an entire pot of fresh coffee, per your preference. I’m also happy to provide coffee and filters, on the house :) If you have a specific brand of coffee that you enjoy, you're welcome to bring that, too.

In the loft tradition, the area is a large 900 SF room with a spacious sitting area complete with an overstuffed armchair, big TV with cable and a queen size sofa sleeper. There is also a separate sleeping area boasting a comfortable queen size bed and large dresser with mirror. Providing the culinary basics is a partial kitchen which includes a microwave, Keurig coffee maker and an under counter refrigerator. A big closet and very nice bathroom with a roomy walk in shower completes the picture. A large secluded patio and grassy side yard shared with our other rental "The Kennedy" provide a wonderful place to gather, relax and sip your favorite afternoon beverage. Perhaps the best feature of "The Loft" is its location. Just around the corner there is a paved walking / bike path with a wildlife area. The path continues along the shoreline of pristine Lake Gertrude. As you walk (exactly 2 miles round trip) there are a few beautiful moss laden ancient oaks arching over the path and one is likely to see a variety of ibis, egrets, herons, ducks, and possibly a Limpkin or an eagle. In the mornings and evenings there are always a few marsh bunnies at the edge of the wild life habitat. Feel free to bring your canoe, kayak or paddle board as there is a public access to pristine Lake Gertrude within walking distance from your rental! All of this, with quaint Mount Dora only a 2 mile drive or bike ride away, is hard to beat.

Very clean and cozy." - "We needed a months-long rental, and owner Maria kindly moved a prior weekend booking in the middle of our desired dates to another of her cottages to make our stay possible. 14 steps up fairly steep stairs lead to a unique 2nd-floor space for two. (A fold-out cot accommodated an overnight guest, but it was a tight fit.) This attic apartment has a window on each side of the house, and rooms organized in the shape of a cross: the kitchen and eating area at the long end, a large bedroom at the other, a bathroom in the dormer on one side, and a sitting-room in the dormer on the other. The location is remarkable: the downtown is within several blocks; the Community Building where we saw a number of shows is less than a block away; a stroll each day to the wonderful boardwalk is a good stretch of the legs; nearby church bells toll noon each day. Mount Dora is an excellent place to escape a Canadian winter, and this quaint pine-floored apartment served us well."

A cozy living room is in the front gable of the home with large windows on 3 sides, and interior French Doors for additional privacy, and overlooks the street from tree top level. The bedroom has 1 Q size bed, 2 dressers and a large walk-in closet. A fully equipped "eat-in" kitchen can seat up to 4 and has a second small room, or pantry, off the eat-in kitchen, offering more space for a small work area or a walk-in pantry, etc. The bathroom has a claw foot tub (great for a relaxing soak) and a shower feature with a grab bar. A private exterior balcony with table and chairs off the kitchen offers a perch for enjoying your favorite beverage and has a quaint street view into the historic downtown. In the winter one can see Lake Dora through the tree lined streets. An old fashioned open front porch w columns faces the street and provides a private place to sit and read, or visit with friends. A utility room with a washer and dryer is located on the back porch.

Our historic home has been a special destination for seasonal residents for over a century! This lovingly cared for private home, with a private and separate upstairs apartment, is on Florida’s State Historic Master Site file and the local historic register. This upstairs apartment/home has all utilities and high speed Wi-Fi. During the winter season of January 1 to April 30 a 5 day minimum booking is required. For the rest of the year a 3-day minimum stay is required.

"What's the monthly rate? Can I lease month to month?"

If there's a full month available with no existing bookings, you're welcome to select the dates and the app will show you the pricing breakdown for your date range. We've had many guests book 30+ nights and we do offer a large 20% discount for monthly bookings. Also, for your safety and convenience, we only book through this app (no traditional leases or "under the table" agreements). If the dates are available, you're welcome to book multiple months and the app will charge you once a month (the same rhythm as a traditional lease).

"What kind of coffee maker do you have?"

We have a drip coffee machine, it can brew a steaming hot cup with single-serving or an entire pot of fresh coffee, per your preference. I’m also happy to provide coffee and filters, on the house :) If you have a specific brand of coffee that you enjoy, you're welcome to bring that, too.
