Off-Grid solar electric power serves the property. Main house is an earthship built in 2000. The guest house is constructed of natural materials inside and out. Large windows bring warm sun inside. If you have further interest the owners are available for questions.

Wifi is available. Streaming is possible on your computer or ipad but there is no TV.

We do not accept guest pets in a booking. However,there are 2 friendly dogs on the property which are kept indoors until 10 am, placed in a corral nearby and brought inside around 6 pm. Due to the multiple wildlife that appears on the property, from deer and wild turkeys, there is sometimes barking during the day.

We are 8 minutes to Bayfield or Ignacio. 10 minutes to the airport. 20 minutes to Durango. 30 minutes to Vallecito Lake. 50 minutes to Pagosa Springs.

The barn and animal pens are off limits for safety, but if you would like to check it out, please ask!

We have lots of critters – Dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, geese, alpacas, frogs, foxes, bugs & sometimes mice. We can have dust and even have some mud! While we try to keep everything in check, please be prepared!

We love dogs! Unfortunately – NO pets allowed. We have working dogs whose job it is to protect their family and property.
(We also have family members that are allergic to dogs use this space frequently.)

Absolutely NO SMOKING anywhere on the property. EVER. We are in a high drought area with an extreme fire potential.

We will be out and about caring for the animals and property. We do not start at the crack of dawn, but you may hear us around.

The bedroom has one queen sized bed with a new memory foam mattress, and a walk-in closet that has a large 4-drawer dresser, is equipped with hangers and an iron/ironing board.

The living room has a couch with electric recliner on both ends.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking & has a bar table to eat at.

This unit is downstairs to a 4 bedroom house. The space is completely separate, unit A cannot access unit B, and vice-versa.

Other things to note
Well behaved dogs are accepted, but cats are not allowed.

The laundry room is not in the unit, but the entrance is just a few feet from your front door.

Please take consideration before booking that the yard is not fully fenced in. The upper part of the yard is private property. Please only utilize the lower yard.

The unit above runs on a steam heating system. When it is running steam through the pipes, and because the house is historic, you are able to hear a knocking noise above the bedroom (just in the winter months). You can also hear walking (and music if being played) from above when the tenants are home so we strictly enforce quiet time from 10:00pm-8:00am. We have included a white noise machine in the bedroom to help people that are sensitive to noise when sleeping.

Cozy one bedroom apartment/guesthouse located on private property, 0.5 mi from downtown Bayfield. This place offers a relaxing feel while featuring many amenities of a real home. It is a about a 20 min drive to the tourist town of Durango, Co.

Our primary residence is located on the same property as this guest house so we are typically nearby (after work/on weekends) if immediate assistance is needed. It is gravel/dirt driveway that is shared with us.

The guest house is located separate from our primary residence, it is the narrow building behind the main house. The only entrance to the guest house is a white metal screen door that leads into an entryway before entering the main door.

If we have back-to-back bookings on a weekday we will ask that you do not check in until 5:00 pm or later. We work full time jobs, so this allows us to clean the apartment and change linens before you arrive. If this is the case, we will let you know when booking.

During the summer months, typically opening all the windows at night and closing them during the day allows for sufficient cooling of the space. Even if temperatures rise to 85-90, evening temps cool down to the 40-50’s, so this method is typically efficient. For those very hot days, there is an AC unit available to help cool the suite.

There is a gas log fireplace for warming the area on those very chilly days/nights.

The space
Located on 3 acres only 5 miles from town, the second-floor Durango Basecamp Studio is the perfect perch in the ponderosa pines. Through the private entrance and up the stairs lies a spacious studio with plenty of room for two (and your furry canine companions.) With a full kitchen, a compact full bathroom, washer and dryer in-suite, and a large dining room table, the studio is nicely appointed to chill, or get a little work done in the quiet of rural Colorado.

Please note while the main house is our primary residence, we may or may not be on the property during your stay. Additionally, the main house may be rented by other guests. There is a semi-shared common area patio between the main home and the studio guesthouse. Each unit has their own table and hangout space. We just ask that you be respectful of noise levels if there is another guest on the property during your stay.

Guest access
Private entrance, come and go as you please (24 hour check-in, after 3pm - checkout at 10am). Guests have access to the entire top floor of a two-car detached space, and have a dedicated parking spot steps from your entry door.

Our Durango Basecamp has what you need to be productive while on the clock, from your own internet connection, to a large table to spread out and develop your next great idea, to a comfy couch for those reinvigorating mid-afternoon recharge sessions. The studio comes equipped with a 50" TV set up with Roku with a subscription to HBO Max. You are also able to sign into any of your streaming services to watch TV as you please.

Lastly, please note the studio is located up a 1/4 mile of a dirt road. During winter conditions, having a vehicle with AWD and/or good tires is recommended.

This cottage is called the L’amour House after the famous writer. We are hobby farmers who love our animals. Please relax and enjoy your mountain stay on our slice of serenity, with great views in a serene, calming environment.

This is a two-bedroom, one-bath cottage with a kitchenette. Both bedrooms have queen-sized beds. One bedroom has a TV while the other bedroom has an office desk. Additionally, there is a pull-out couch in the living room.

Our property is only 13 minutes from the Downtown train station (7 miles), 8 minutes from Lake Nighthorse (3.6 miles), and 35 min from Mesa Verde National Park Entrance (30.6 miles).

You’ll have the whole studio guesthouse to yourselves, but will see us around the property. You’ll have your own parking area with a nice path to get to your front door. I ask that you please don’t go in to other buildings near your space and stay close to the Airbnb area.

Other things to note
I do have a pond at a distance that is not fenced. Please keep children away. The neighbors have farm animals and dogs but please leave them alone. The road coming up from the highway is narrow so please drive slowly (10mph). I am on a well and will be asking you to not let water run unnecessarily while using the sink or shower.

During the months of April through the beginning of August, there will be goats on the property being raised for 4H. You will see them near where you’ll park and may hear them a bit during your stay. Please do not feed the goats but feel free to give them a scratch of they stand still.

This basement studio is perfect for up to 4 guests with two queen beds and a full bath with tub/shower combo. You can relax in the sauna after a long day of skiing, hiking or biking. You can prepare meals in the kitchen with a convection microwave, single electric burner, toaster oven, coffee maker, kettle, blender and toaster and enjoy them at the dining table for four. Then sink into our large comfy sofa to watch the smart TV with streaming services or play a game of foosball.

The space
The Animas Valley Lodge is 3 min from City Market and the north end of Durango, 5 min from Durango Hot Springs, 24 min from Purgatory Resort, across the street from Mountain Annie's Dispensary and a trolley stop to go downtown. We have beautiful views of Animas City Mountain and the Animas Valley and sit on almost an acre of land. The lodge has four private guest units available for up to 25 guests.

This is a four unit property and you will have access to unit 3 which is the basement unit on the ground level with a fenced front yard. There is parking for one car.

There may be guests staying in other units on the property. Each has its own entrance and is private but may share interior walls.

Other things to note
Please note that this is a basement unit and noise may be occasionally heard from the guests upstairs. Also, note that the ceiling is 6 ft 8 in high and is shorter in the shower so those above 6 ft tall may not be comfortable.

The heat is shared with unit 1 above and the controls are in unit 1. Therefore, you will not have control in your own unit. There are fans provided and a screen door to keep things cool in the summer. In the winter, if it starts to get too cool we will have portable heaters available.

This is a pet friendly property with a fenced front yard. There is a one-time $50 pet cleaning fee added to any pet stay and you're allowed to bring up to two dogs. Please add your pets as guests when booking.

Feel free to explore the property with your furry friend but be respectful of other guests with pets and be careful with the road, CR 203 and Highway 550 in front of the house.

Good working A/C to keep you cool and comfortable. This rental is close enough to downtown Durango for easy access and getting around quickly, yet, far enough away to retreat and relax. There are several restaurants within walking distance such as Pop Sushi, Bread bakery, Dominos, and Machos Mexican, also an award winning liquor store. Train station 3 miles away, Fort Lewis College 2.5 miles away, and easy access to 550 N to get to Purgatory ski resort 27 miles away. This a very peaceful setting with a large parking area to accommodate lots of vehicles. The apartment has been renovated with luxury vinyl floors, new carpet, and a full kitchen. There is no oven, but there is a stove top where you can cook using skillets, pots and pans, and the like. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials and we provide coffee that can be made in the Keurig. There are three beds total, a king, and two queens, also a pool table and foosball for your gaming pleasure! You can set the temperature to just how you like it, with your own thermostat available right in the unit. Please let us know if we can do anything for you during your stay! We love to give restaurant and hiking recommendations and answer any questions you may have! We have also just purchased new furniture for this unit that you are sure to love! Please note that the top unit may be rented out separately during your stay.

Viewing deck on the top of the hill. Go through the gate at the back of the yard and up a short trail for mountain and valley views.

The door is equipped with a keypad entry, so you can check in at anytime (after 4 pm). You will be sent all check-in information a day or two before you arrive.

This is a ground level unit, so there could be people above. Sound insulation is present between the floors to minimize noise transfer.

The large guest suite is located 2 miles from historic downtown Durango in the foothills of Perins Peak. The 10-acre property is adjacent to the Overend Mountain Park, with direct access to hiking and mountain biking trails, and features numerous sitting areas, gardens and vistas. Visitors enjoy the peace and serenity of the guest suite as a perfect paring with enjoying Durango’s adventures and activities. A freshly prepared continental breakfast is included with the room fee.

The space
The guest suite is located in a separate wing of a custom mountain home, and has its own access, patio, sunny breakfast room, TV/sitting room, and large bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has a queen bed, and the TV/sitting room has a full-sized pull out sofa bed with air-on-coil mattress. The bathroom is a jack-n-jill configuration shared between the bedroom and the TV/sitting room. The suite can accommodate families with children, but is not available for four adults.

The home was built to the exacting standards of a “passive house” with excellent indoor comfort. There is room-controlled air conditioning and heating in both the bedroom and TV/sitting room. There is also an advanced ventilation system that continually adds fresh, filter air.

Guest access
The guest suite has a private, separate access from the main home and also features a separate parking area. The suite is located in a separate wing of the main home.

Our insurance requires that our kitchen is off limits (although the suite includes a mini-refrigerator & small Keurig coffee maker).

There are multiple areas to sit outside and you are free to wander the property at will.

During your stay
I live in our house, completed in 2015, full time. I have lived in Colorado for 27 years; Durango, Ten.

I will always be available to answer any questions and assist as need. Your privacy will be respected at all times.

Other things to note
The base rate for the guest suite ($175/night) includes a continental breakfast. There is an extra fee for parties with more than two people. No charge for use of the infant (pack-n-play) bed.

We have a City Permit (#17-002) for our operations.

The Apple Orchard Inn is a traditional Bed & Breakfast located on 4.5 acres in the lush Animas River Valley. We offer 10 romantic en suite rooms and cottages. Relax and enjoy spectacular mountain views, beautiful gardens, orchards, babbling brooks and ponds. Access to the inn is by private driveway through the old apple orchard. 4 rooms are located upstairs in the main house and 6 cottages are located behind the main house easily accessible by sidewalks encircling the lovely courtyard.

The space
Queen room located upstairs in the main house, convertible love seat/twin size sofa bed (made up on request), private bathroom with combination shower/tub, vanity sink, radiant floor heating, in room air conditioning, 43" UHD smart TV, high speed wireless internet, courtyard views, mini refrigerator, drip coffee maker available on request. Children under the age of 8 are not allowed in the upstairs rooms. Pets are not allowed in the main house or upstairs rooms.

This conveniently located, pet friendly guesthouse is located minutes from downtown Durango, Mercy Hospital and many of the area's popular activities. It will be a great base camp for enjoying all that SW Colorado has to offer. Purgatory Ski Resort is 40 minutes north, Wolf Creek Ski area is just over an hour drive to the east, and Mesa Verde is the same distance to the west. It is separated from the main house by mature foliage and has beautiful views from each bedroom.

The space
There is a kitchenette with full size refrigerator, combination microwave/toaster oven/air fryer, 2 induction hotplates, toaster and a Keurig coffee maker. A Blackstone grill is located on the balcony. Most guests find these appliances are more than adequate for almost any meal preparation.

Guest access
The guest house has a full basement that is used for storage. There is a locked iron door/gate at the bottom of the stairs and access is restricted. Also, we limit our own access when guest are present out of respect for your privacy.

This two bedroom, one bath space is perfect for a small family or a few friends. Enjoy coffee with views of the Animas Valley, warm up next to the fireplace or soak in the 4-person hot tub. we have a full kitchen and bathroom. There's a king bedroom and a queen bedroom. We also have a small dinette in the living room for enjoying meals. There's a smart TV with streaming services, a record player, a karaoke microphone, a portable speaker, card games and puzzles for entertainment.

The space
The Animas Valley Lodge is 3 min from City Market and the north end of Durango, 5 min from Durango Hot Springs, 24 min from Purgatory Resort, across the street from Mountain Annie's Dispensary and a trolley stop to go downtown. We have beautiful views of Animas City Mountain and the Animas Valley and sit on almost an acre of land. The lodge has four private guest units available for up to 25 guests.

Guest access
This is a four unit property and you will have access to unit 1 which has a shared front porch with unit 2, parking for up to 2 cars and a private back patio separated with a privacy fence. You'll have access to a private 4-person hot tub on the back patio.

There may be guests staying in other units on the property. Each has its own entrance and is private but may share interior walls.

Other things to note
This is a pet friendly property and the yard is not fenced. There is a one-time $50 pet cleaning fee added to any pet stay and you're allowed to bring up to two dogs. Please add your pets as guests when booking.

Feel free to explore the property with your furry friend but be respectful of other guests with pets and be careful with the road, CR 203 and Highway 550 in front of the house.

Road & Parking:
• April–October: The unpaved road is easily passable in a standard vehicle.
• November–March: A 4x4 / All-wheel-drive vehicle is required.
• Ample parking is available, including a turn-around driveway for easy access. Room for trailers (please let us know in advance).
• The driveway is private, so the only traffic you’ll see is your own or possibly our tractor.

Laundry Access:
• For stays of 7+ days, access to a washer and dryer (located downstairs) is available upon request.
• Please note: Laundry is limited to one load per day.

Other things to note
The guesthouse is located above our secondary garage and requires climbing a flight of stairs. Please consider this when booking, as we are unable to accommodate guests with mobility challenges. The garage is rarely used (primarily for storage), and the guesthouse has a completely separate, private entrance.

Important Policies:
• Pets & Service Animals: Due to allergies and local wildlife, we are unable to host animals of any kind, including service animals.
• Smoking & Open Flames: Smoking/chewing tobacco/drugs, vaping, candles, or outdoor fires are strictly prohibited—indoors and outdoors. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy to ensure guest safety and property care.

This suite is the Heather room and the Marie room, named after Dr Ochsner’s wife, Marie. The bedrooms are attached through a common full bath. Marie has windows facing north and east, with a full bed and a three-quarter bed along the east window.
The suite is on the north side of the second floor, at the top of the stairs, with lovely views of the La Plata mountains. Heather has north facing bay windows with a king bed.
