Your entrance is a sliding glass door on the ground level. There is a kitchenette that includes a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot, basic dishes, utensils and a cutting board. Plus, a fun floor design in the private bath with fresh, clean towels that await your stay. Reserving this unit gives you access to 1 bedroom, 2 guests.
Experience a bit of country life while relaxing in the cozy comfort of our private guest accommodation, located in a separate structure in our property. We are rural but a short drive to the areas most popular destinations- Lyons/Planet Bluegrass(20 min), Longmont(10 min), Loveland(15 min), Boulder(30 min), RMNP(50 min). Our place is perfect for the adventurous traveler looking for some quiet down time, couples, small families and business professionals.
The space
The guest house offers the conveniences and comforts of home.
The bedroom has a queen bed, bedside tables with lights, ceiling fan with light, luggage rack and 2 dressers.
The other sleeping accommodations are a full bed in a semi-private space with a privacy curtain, just off the living room and a leather couch. If you are planning on using the couch as a sleeping space, let me know and I'll provide additional linens.
The kitchen is stocked with what we would have in our own home - quality pots and pans, dishes, glassware, flatware, utensils, etc. We also have a toaster oven, microwave, instant kettle, lots of coffee making accoutrements and gas range. We do NOT have a conventional oven. We offer a few staple items like butter, cooking oils, a few tea choices and an emergency coffee stash.
We keep several snuggly blankets available in the livingroom for curling up on the couches and a stash of games for you to choose from in case you prefer to stay in. We have a TV with a digital receiver which receives many local channels, a DVD/blu-ray player and WIFI. We do NOT have cable TV. There are several RedBox locations within a short drive from here if you are interested in renting movies.
While we feel very safe here at our home and at our property, the main bedroom has locking interior and exterior doors for your added sense of security, if you feel the need.

As much as we try to maintain smooth paths and walkways, this is a rural setting and most of the area around our property is unpaved and traverses over slightly uneven ground. We have outdoor lighting, some of which is motion sensing so night time navigation is easier. We invite our guests to relax in the shade of one of our massive willows in the heat of the summer or enjoy lunch at the outdoor table just steps from the entrance of the space which is adjacent to our duck and hen house. Off-street parking. Driving and parking instructions will be sent prior to your arrival. We do our best to have someone on property to offer support and/or instructs to guide you on where to park if you have questions. If not on site, I will be just a phone call or text away.
Other things to note
Also available during your stay is the option to book a Watsu session- aquatic bodywork in a warm salt-water pool, with the host. That can be paid for separately at the time of your visit. The pool is not available for general guest use. I have 1 sassy/fluffy cat, chickens and ducks. The cat is friendly and sometimes likes to visit but we keep her out of the space so you can consider it to be fur-free. There are 2 dogs that live on the property and belong to other residents that live here. When not with their people, they are in a fenced area. I can also make our fresh eggs available to you, depending on supply. Please ask if you are interested.

This adorable bungalow is 715 sq feet ranch style home, with full washer/dryer. Basement for storage.
The second bedroom is an office right now but I can put bunk beds in it if you prefer.
Very cute, nice light, most everything you need, included, but no actual food, condiments or spices.
The space
It has a cute front porch over looking some flower beds and a side patio area with a small picnic table.
It is 1.5 blocks from fabulous Roosevelt Park with contains a very nice walking/jogging/biking path, a kiddie pool, rose garden, a recreation center, the senior center and a pavilion and lawn where many sports and arts event occur. There is ice skating there in the winter.
It is also a short walk to downtown where you will find coffee houses, awesome restaurants, multiple yoga studios, bakeries, gift shops, cloth shops, pubs and so much more.
This is a DUPLEX the other unit is on the back- NO shared space or room, totally separate.

Best suited for 4 or less people or up to 6 super friendly ones. The king was just added in October due to complaints about the queen. It is very comfortable. The double bunk bed was just added sept 2019. It is a bunk bed with two double sized mattresses, theoretically it could hold 4 friendly, tightly packed or little people.

Please go up and down the loft ladder facing the same direction. Loft has a low ceiling, so it is a little tricky getting around up here. It makes up for it with an amazing floor lounge and sound system to enjoy!

288 sq/ft Studio (full-size bed). Wake up to dappled light and a serene soundscape in this private guesthouse. Tucked in an established garden setting with mature trees and the beautiful sound of doves and songbirds in the morning. This eco-friendly space is almost entirely plastic-free, and low-impact. Close to the lovely Sunset Golfcourse, 5 min from the Longmont Hospital and many micro-breweries, 16 min drive to Lyons and PlanetBluegrass.
The space
This space was just fully renovated and has a modern Scandinavian style. The windows and patio door face east towards a very private garden on 1/3 of an acre. Shaded by an ash tree, a huuuuge crab apple, and several blue spruce trees, the unit shares no walls with the main house and is gloriously quiet. There is a private patio for the sole use of the guests on the south side of the unit with shade, seating and a table. While the large yard is shared by the homeowner and the guests, the layout and the trees make it a very private experience.
Entry to the unit is via the guest patio, and there is a lighted pathway from the driveway to the entrance to the space.
Guests have access to their own dedicated washer and dryer in the garage to the back of the guesthouse. Passcode for the access door will be provided on request.
This is a friendly and welcoming neighborhood. You will see pride flags, and BLM signs, as well as thin blue lines, and all kinds of statements of love and respect for community, diversity and inclusion. Everyone is welcome.

Because this is an almost plastic-free and low-impact experience you may find a few things are different than you are used to: the wooden cutting board must be hand washed, there are numerous kitchen cloths to use in substitute for paper towels, cleaning supplies are all biodegradable and eco-friendly. Many of the furniture pieces are rare scandanavian antiques, the kitchen island is an up-cycled Ikea desk (that adjusts in height from desk to island) topped with beautiful Italian marble. Guests are encouraged to experience the luxury of this space and will hopefully realize that living in an eco-friendly style does not reduce the quality of our daily experiences.
Please note that the front yard is in the midst of being xeriscaped and it is no longer covered in grass. Colorado is starved for moisture, so the front will become a low-water ode to native grasses and wildflowers. The back yard, however, is a shaded and lush oasis, and where most outdoor time is spent.

The White House located behind the host’s home is a stand alone guest house above the host’s 3-car garage. You will have a space to park anything similar in size or smaller than a mid-size SUV in the garage (remote available when you check in). The space includes a walk up private entry, a large and bright open floor plan with dining area, living room, open kitchen with bar seating. The two bedrooms are spacious with comfy linens and spectacular pillows. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds. The second bedroom also has a desk and chair for those needing an office space. The bathroom has a deep tub/shower combination. There is also a full size washer and dryer in the unit. We will stock the unit with everything you need - toiletries and lots of supplies to do laundry and dishes. We also have a smart ROKU TV with the Xfinity app for television (our cable provider) and high-speed Wi-fi internet for your use.
