Arrowtown Gem is super sunny, simply yet stylishly furnished and is located an easy 10 minute stroll into the main town area of Arrowtown.

Voted New Zealand’s most beautiful small town 2020 (Keep NZ Beautiful) Arrowtown offers a huge array of cafes, bakeries, restaurants, bars, family friendly pubs, fashion stores, galleries, collectables with even a boutique cinema to enjoy. With an abundance of beautiful wineries located within 10 to 20 minutes drive there’s plenty of choice for wine lovers too.

For the more active minded it is located a few minutes ride to the start of the Queenstown Bike Trail and a variety of walks that start from the Arrow River, for both the leisurely stroller and serious hiker.

If you are a skier Coronet Peak skifield is 20 minutes drive away and Cardrona or the Snow Park are approximately 30 minutes drive and for golfers there are 2 beautiful courses located within 5 minutes drive. Lake Hayes is located 10 minutes drive away - perfect for swimming, sailing, paddle boarding and fishing.

The cottage has small but well layed out open plan living with French doors onto a large deck and a cosy booth style dining room. It is fully insulated and has both gas/electric heating and a wood burner (wood provided). Please note that I have ticked the 'heatpump - aircon' section for reason we have a great push button convection heating source but this system does not also cool.

The cottage is fully fenced, enjoys all day sun and is quiet and private, off the main road, with lovely views out over the Arrowtown hills from the large deck and outdoor dining/BBQ area. Rustic outdoor sheds provide the perfect place to store your skis and bikes.

The first bedroom is large with a raised timber ceiling, french doors opening onto the deck, is set up with 2 single beds and has a wardrobe. The beds can easily be pushed together and for stays of 7 days or longer we can do a full conversion to a superking bed on request. The second bedroom is smaller and has 1 queen bed and a small storage cupboard.

The house is extremely cosy, accented with a hint of retro design and will offer two couples, three singles or a family of four, a wonderful break in the sought after location of Arrowtown.

Dogs with considerate owners are most welcome with prior approval.

Take advantage of the Queenstown Trail which runs just past the property. This trail offers over 100kms of biking trails - you can set out in a different direction each day!

Arrowtown is a town of 4 seasons. Enjoy spring with blossoming trees, lazy summer days by the river or Lake Hayes, or make the most of the long days and hike or bike to explore the area. Autumn is a magical time, with trees changing to red, orange and gold. In winter Arrowtown is a fantastic place to base yourself for a skiing or snow boarding holiday, with 3 skifields within easy driving distance.

Our recently renovated home is within the historic precinct of Arrowtown. Just walking distance to the village centre with an ample choice of award winning restaurants, cafes and movie theatre. Coronet ski field is just a 15 minute drive away.

A holiday home should be a place to relax and unwind. This has certainly been taken into account with the preparation of Duffs Cottage. While maintaining a simple and minimal aesthetic, the goal was to provide comfort and relaxation to guests.

To enhance the spacious and light-filled rooms, the owners meticulously renovated the building. It was important to keep the character of the building, but modernize it. In the same way, the decor is in harmony with the natural surroundings, which draws your eyes to the breathtaking views. As a result of these thoughtful touches, you will feel comfortable and relaxed at Duff's cottage during your stay.

On cold, snowy nights, a traditional wood burner keeps you warm in the open plan living area. The addition of faux fur throws and velvet stools adds a luxurious touch. Furthermore, it has a north-facing aspect and is double-glazed, so it is very cosy. With no clutter, clean lines, and the way the sun filters through the blinds, this cottage has a Zen-like feel.

The open plan living area has a great indoor-outdoor flow. Mainly due to the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open up onto the side of the house. This outdoor area has a small shaded deck in a private setting. Therefore allowing enough space for al fresco dining in the warmer temperatures and a safe place for the kids to play.

The large kitchen is ideal for entertaining, complete with a six-burner gas cooker and a large oven. You will enjoy preparing meals here with all-new stainless steel appliances and custom cabinetry with plenty of storage.

Sarah’s place was very nice, made us feel right at home. Everything was neat and well maintained. Would recommend this place to everyone looking for a great and comfy place to stay.

Beautiful romantic Stone Stables for two in a rural location with fantastic views. This is a stand alone building and the only one of its type on the property. Very warm and cosy with everything you need. Just 7kms from the historic village of Arrowtown and 20 minutes from downtown Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu. Central to 3 ski fields - Cardrona, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. Get away from the crowds and experience a unique accommodation still close enough to everything you need.

The space
Enjoy a unique experience staying in the refurbished 1860's horse stables, the original stopping place for travellers between Queenstown and Wanaka, part of one of the original homesteads on the Crown Terrace.

This fabulous self contained accommodation is in the separate stone building on the property, with its own entrance and off street parking and private garden.
The Stables is comprised of two adjoining stone and wood rooms. One room has a newly built kitchen, lounge and dining area with woodburner, washing machine and dryer. The kitchen includes a full size fridge and freezer, oven, gas hobs, dishwasher and all cooking equipment. Included in the lounge is a bluetooth amplifier and speakers so you can listen to your own music. There is also a Smart Flat Screen TV with Preview channels and Netflix.
The other room is a large bedroom with king size bed and ensuite bathroom including a round stone shower with double shower heads. There are 2 wardrobes and a set of drawers plus a luggage rack.
Each room is a large fabulous space with lots of character and comfort.
The access between the rooms is external with just a few short steps between the doors. In front of the building is a lovely private lawn and garden area with outside table and chairs.
There is also a stand alone sauna in the garden to relax in after a busy day.

The converted Stables are part of a 5 acre property surrounded by century old trees. It is a beautiful rural location with stunning 360 degree mountain and valley views and one of the last places in Queenstown to see the sun go down in the evening. The sunsets from here are truly amazing!

The small historic town of Arrowtown which is 7 kilometers away has lots of cafes, restaurants and bars plus a boutique movie theatre, walking and cycling tracks.

Queenstown is 20 kilometers away and the airport and Frankton retail area are a ten minute drive.

Other attractions close by are the wine growing area of Gibbston Valley, 3 golf courses at Arrowtown, Millbrook and The Hills, many walks and mountain bike tracks including Lake Hayes and the Queenstown Walking and Cycling Trail.

It is a 15 minute drive to Cardrona Valley and 40 minutes to Wanaka.

Crown Range Historic Stables is centrally located between 3 ski fields - Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Cardrona. There are fantastic views of both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables ski fields from the property, as well as the view over the Wakatipu Basin and Arrowtown.

Crown Range Historic Stables is on Crown Range Road, the main highway between Queenstown and Wanaka. Turn off State Highway 6 from Queenstown after Arrow Junction and it is just 2 kilometers up the 'zig-zags'.

Or you can relax in the lovely rural setting spending some time breaking up your trip as they did in the past.

The space
Stevenson's Cottage is a miner's cottage built in the 1870's. The original part of the house has been sympathetically renovated and a modern bathroom/laundry annex was added in 2022. Due to the nature of renovating listed properties, electrical sockets in the original part of the house may be in unique areas. All part of the charm of staying in a heritage cottage in the heart of historical Arrowtown!

Wall mounted electric heaters heat the historic section of the cottage and underfloor heating in the modern bathroom will keep you cosy in the winter months. Additional electric heaters are also available for those needing extra toastiness!

The living room has a large comfy sofa adorned in a mixture of vintage linen cushions and plush woolly cushions. Cosy up under one of the vintage NZ woollen blankets and watch a movie!

A well equipped, newly renovated, compact kitchen is ideal for those who want to self cater and dine-in. Original features have been sympathetically restored throughout. Please note there is no dishwasher.

Both bedrooms have hotel quality beds, dressers, bedside tables, and electric blankets. Vintage NZ woollen blankets and vintage linen cushions from the host's collection create a cosy cottage atmosphere.

In the summer you can enjoy alfresco dining in the sun drenched courtyard with a BBQ and outdoor table and seating. Or relax in the shade on the grass.

The cottage is in the heart of the village and two doors down from a popular local pub, The Fork and Tap. Sounds from the beer garden can be heard so if you're looking for silence and solitude you may want to look elsewhere. This beautifully appointed, sun-drenched home in central Arrowtown offers two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area that opens onto a large deck. With a separate laundry featuring heated floors and a garage plus extra parking, it’s the perfect luxury retreat for your travels.

Located in Arrowtown’s Historic Area, the home is just a couple of minutes’ walk from Buckingham Street’s shops, restaurants, bars, and the bus to Queenstown.

The space
This brand-new, architect-designed cottage is exceptionally well-equipped, with luxurious furnishings and lighting carefully selected from leading design retailers such as Matisse, ECC, Design Denmark, BoConcept, and Dawsons.

The home is kept comfortable year-round with a heat pump for heating and cooling, a gas fire, and under-tile heating in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Bedroom 1 features a king-size bed (which can be split into two singles), a wardrobe, and a suitcase stand, and opens onto a small rear courtyard with its own ensuite. Bedroom 2 also has a king-size bed (split option), a wardrobe, and suitcase stand, with an adjacent bathroom. Both bedrooms are carpeted and heated by a heat pump, and the fully tiled bathrooms boast high-quality fittings.

The open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area is bright and contemporary, with a dining table that seats 6 but expands to 10. The living room is furnished with two 3-seater sofas and two armchairs selected for comfort and luxury, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere enhanced by carefully chosen lighting and local artwork. Sky TV is available on the large LED television.

The kitchen is equipped with quality crockery, glassware, and appliances, including an oven, induction cooktop, dishdrawers, Nespresso machine, and fridge/freezer. The laundry features a washing machine, dryer, ironing board, and underfloor heating for drying ski gear. Guests also have access to the garage, with additional parking outside and ski/board racks for gear storage.

A spacious north-facing deck stretches along the living and dining area, offering views of the surrounding hills.

The cottage is just a few minutes' walk from Arrowtown's main street, home to high-end restaurants, bars, and shops, as well as historic gold panning sites. Explore the Arrow River walking trails, or rent bikes for further adventures. Millbrook Resort and Ayrburn are a short drive away, and Queenstown is just 15 minutes by car or bus.

Other things to note
Any damage or breakage may be charged for. It is the responsibility of the guest to prove any damages are accidental, however the final decision on liability rests with the owner of the property. That being said, we are reasonable and sensible, just like you.

Located on the edge of the Crown Terrace overlooking the whole Wakatipu Basin. Amazing views better than the adjacent lookout point, looking down to Arrowtown, Lake Hayes, and right through to Queenstown. Relax and enjoy our large rural property with vineyard & our wine made onsite. Larger groups of up to 11 people can rent 'Creagh Homestead & Creagh Cottage' adjacent to each other. Cottages can also be booked individually

Other things to note
We are located in a mountainous area and winter often brings cold and snow conditions. We recommend 4wd vehicles and warm clothes. Very rarely water pipes can freeze and roads are closed.

The accommodation is in a rural setting and guests should be aware that the property is home to many creatures great and small. Although we do our best to control them, very occasionally you might get a visit from a friendly field mouse in the house.
