Fully self contained accommodation. Enjoy a unique experience staying in the refurbished 1860's stone stables building, the original stopping place for travellers between Queenstown and Wanaka, part of one of the original homesteads on the Crown Terrace.

This self contained accommodation is in the separate stone building on the property, with its own entrance and off street parking. The Stables is comprised of two adjoining stone and wood rooms. One room has a modern newly built kitchen, lounge and dining area with woodburner and laundry, including washing machine and dryer. The kitchen includes a full size fridge and freezer, oven, gas hobs, dishwasher and all the required cooking equipment. Included in the lounge is a bluetooth amplifier and speakers so you can listen to your own music on your devices plus there is also a smart flat screen TV. The other room is a large bedroom with king size bed, ensuite bathroom with 'one of a kind' round stone shower and double shower heads. There are two wardrobes and sets of drawers plus a luggage rack and two comfy chairs.
Each room is a large fabulous space with lots of character and comfort. The access between the rooms is external with just a few short steps between the doors. In front of the building is a private garden area with outside table and chairs and comfy couch.

There is also a stand alone sauna in the garden to relax in after a busy day.

The converted Stables are part of a 5 acre property surrounded by century old trees. It is a beautiful rural location with stunning 360 degree mountain and valley views, enjoying lots of sunshine hours and one of the best places to see the sunset.

Arrowfarm is centrally located between 3 ski fields - Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Cardrona. There are fantastic views of both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables ski fields from the property, as well as the view over the Wakatipu Basin and Arrowtown.

Arrowfarm is on Crown Range Road, the main highway between Queenstown and Wanaka. Turn off State Highway 6 from Queenstown after Arrow Junction and it is just 2 kilometers up the 'zig-zags'.

The small historic town of Arrowtown which is 7 kilometers away has lots of cafes, restaurants and bars plus a boutique movie theatre. There are also lots of walks and bike tracks.
Queenstown is 20 kilometers away and the airport and central retail centre are a 15 minute drive.

Other attractions close by are the wine growing area of Gibbston Valley, 3 golf courses at Arrowtown, Millbrook and The Hills, many walks and mountain bike tracks including Lake Hayes and the Queenstown Walking and Cycling Trail. It is a 15 minute drive to Cardrona Valley and 40 minutes drive to Wanaka.

You’ll be enchanted by the heritage main street and the beautiful walking and biking trails. It's a New Zealand treasure!

Getting Around:
There is a bus stop on Manse Road which is a short walk from the property.

There is also off-street and on-street parking available.

Other Things to Note:
Please note - There are tenants that live above the garage. This does not disrupt your stay however you do need to share the driveway with them, we have nominated guest parking in front of the garage, so tenants are out of your way. The garage will have an owner's car in it, but you can still use the area for storing ski gear etc. There are two mountain bikes also for your use while you stay.
There is also a new house being built next door. So there may be construction noise and dust whilst this is being built.

This property is located within a residential area. Please respect our neighbours by keeping noise to a low level at all times, especially between 8pm – 8am.

As agreed by Queenstown Council, the following rules apply:

No amplified sound/music is to be played from the outdoor living areas between the hours of 8pm – 8am.

All outdoor living areas must be vacated between the hours of 10pm – 7am.

The residents within the neighbourhood and the management company can call the council with a noise complaint if they have concerns between the hours of 10 pm – 7 am.

The separate studio above the garage has a double-sized bed and is accessed via outdoor stairs - this space is available when booking for over 6 guests, or can be reserved for a set fee. Maximum amount of guests at the property is 8.

The main bathroom is spacious with vanity, bathtub, mirror and heated towel rail. A separate shower room and separate toilet are off the main hallway; particularly convenient when having friends staying together.

The open-plan dining and living room enjoys mountain views and opens onto to the wrap-around deck where you can relax on the outdoor seating and cook on the new portable Weber barbecue whilst enjoying the garden.

The kitchen is well equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, large new fridge with ice maker, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, bullet blender and toastie maker. Crockery, cutlery, and glassware is all new and plentiful. You’ll also find it convenient to have some basic cooking supplies in the pantry; oil, salt and pepper.

The walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom is locked for owners storage. A small hanging rod is provided in the hot water cupboard in the master bedroom as an alternative.

There is a small attached studio and bathroom which is completely separate and is not rented to guests.

The hot tub is a large gas fired wooden hot tub. To heat it up, a gas burner needs to be lit for about 4 to 5 hours in the middle of winter. The water is not treated and is completely drained and refilled between guests. If you need help or would like it heated before you arrive, please let me know.

Please note that our cleaning fees include a full set of fresh linen including sheets, pillow cases and towels. Additional cleaning and linen can be ordered for longer stays.

The ring door bell is mounted on the front door. It has a camera that faces the street when the door is closed. The camera will point up at the stairs if the door is left wide open. It is used to communicate with visitors, guests and couriers if required.

Inside the main homestead there are four bedrooms, whilst a separate self-contained unit contains the fifth bedroom alongside a private lounge, kitchen and courtyard, perfect for grandparents, a nanny or anyone that simply enjoys a little more privacy during their stay.

This home has been designed to take advantage of its dream location in Queenstown with outstanding outdoor living spaces: Take a dip in the private infinity pool or spa pool or curl up by the roaring wood fire under the sheltered outdoor seating area and gaze out over the mountain range. The outdoor space also includes state of the art Sonos sound system (which allows you to isolate and play different music in different locations throughout the house) plus extensive furniture, a petanque court and BBQ for outdoor dining and relaxation.

Location is everything for this peaceful retreat, which is only a short walk to the Millbrook Resort facilities including the golf course, a selection of restaurants and bars and spa facilities. It only takes less than 5 minutes to drive to the heart of Arrowtown, and just a few minutes drive down the road in the other direction will find you at some of the regions favourite cellar door tasting rooms and restaurants.

Guests will have access to the whole property, including the swimming pool, spa pool, tennis court, garden, outdoor BBQ and main house.

Please note that a diesel-powered heating unit is located outside the property. When the heating is in operation, there may be a slight but constant humming noise audible inside the unit. The sound is similar to the noise produced by an operating air conditioner in a typical hotel room.

The guest suite is part of a family home in picturesque Arrowtown. A cosy private bedroom, your own bathroom, sitting area and shared laundry. The place is good for couples, singles, and small families. A 2 minute walk from the beautiful arrow river walking track. Close by is a small supermarket and bus stop 10mins away. A pleasant 15 min walk to town. To Note: The bedroom is quite private and sound proof but in the sitting area you may hear some family noise on the other side.

The space
You will have access to the guest suite through the side entrance of the house to the back door. You may hear some noise from our house but we are generally quiet. We have a 10 and 13year. Your guest suite is located at the far end of the house and divided by a locked door. You will have exclusive use of the downstairs toilet and shower and your own living area. You will have your own key and can access the space through the back door. Your separate living area has two chairs a bar fridge, toaster and kettle, utensils and cups and bowls. You will also have access to the laundry and outside area. The bedroom has a mirror, closet, double bed, electric blankets plus extra blankets and heater.

The area has a fridge, jug and toaster and some cutlery. You will have access to the back entrance of the house and outside seating. Also access to the cosy lounge area, bedroom, bathroom, laundry, and outside back area.

We live here so are likely to see you and we're happy to chat with you about your travels, or leave you to yourselves. We have 2 large dogs which you'll need to be comfortable with, and an elusive cat.

Two large dogs live here, you must be comfortable with dogs. Also a cat who may or may not grace you with her presence.

Its a comfortable, light and warm space, fantastic for couples, friends, solo adventurers, and business travellers. 5 minutes drive from the historical Arrowtown, 15 minutes drive to a comprehensive shopping centre at Frankton, and 20 minutes drive into Queenstown. We are located in a great position to investigate what the Wakatipu Basin, Wanaka and Central Otago has to offer.

The space
The area is a loft above our garage which has amazing views, including Coronet Peak Ski Field. It's a very sunny and warm position. Radiator heating for cool winter nights and a Daikin heat pump for those hot summer days. Kettle, coffee machine, toaster, fridge, microwave, along with cutlery and crockery. High quality linen, bedding and towels provided. A television with Freeview and Wifi is also provided in the area. Separate and private entrance. There is an outdoor seating area and BBQ available for use.

Other things to note
Our super king bed can be separated into two singles if friends are travelling together or if you prefer an uninterrupted nights sleep. There is also a pull out sofa bed that can accommodate two people.
Access to the loft is via a stairwell.

Our home is located between Queenstown and Wanaka, so it’s easy to explore all the region has to offer from here. The river is a 5-minute walk from our front door and Arrowtown’s village centre is a 20-30 minute walk from home depending on your age/fitness level. We don’t allow cooking in our kitchen but there are many excellent cafes, restaurants and pubs in the village to choose from. There are many walking and bike trails nearby too. We suggest you have a hire car for easier convenience.

The space
Our guest room has a comfortable King bed (that can be split to make two singles), luggage racks, drawers, a 32" LCD Smart TV, reading lamps and a hair dryer and hair straighteners. A sliding door opens up onto a patio/garden area. In your private bathroom we provide bath towels, face cloths, body wash and a heated towel rail (and under-floor heating in winter). We can also provide an iron/ironing board if needed, but we do charge extra for use of our washing machine & dryer. Please note our home isn’t set up for families - we only accept bookings from singles or couples. We enjoy sitting out in our patio in warmer months and playing lawn games which are also available for guest use. There is NO COOKING in our kitchen but we’ll consider use of our microwave for pre-cooked, packaged meals that only need heating as long as this is mentioned/discussed before your arrival.

Guest access
We're fairly flexible in terms of checking in and checking out as long as we receive plenty of notice but prefer guests to arrive before 8pm in the evening if possible. You'll have access to your bedroom and your own private bathroom and we welcome you to share our lounge/dining area and outdoor spaces. You'll have your own key so can come and go at your leisure. There's so much to do here, we expect you'll mostly be out and about making the most of your time!

During your stay
As we both work we may not always be here when you arrive but we'll leave you adequate instructions so you can come in and make yourself at home.

We've traveled extensively around the world and we love meeting new people of different backgrounds and cultures. When we get the opportunity we'll sit down with you, find out a bit more about you and give you plenty of advice about the "must-dos" in the area. We're also mindful that some guests like to be left alone to some degree, so if you prefer minimal interaction, just let us know.

Our cat Qita (Kee-ta) will possibly make herself known to you so please consider this if you have allergies.

We charge $5 per washing load and $5 per drying load (we can provide you with a drying rack at no charge).

Only paying guests are authorised to stay over.

As we don't have a 'child-proof' home, we’re better suited for couples as opposed to those travelling with babies or small children.

Our home is located in beautiful Arrowtown, with the Arrow River reserve (great for biking and walks, or a refreshing dip) just over the road, and the Arrowtown Golf course very close by. Walking into the village is a pleasant 20 minute stroll (for the average person) or slightly longer if you walk along the river. We built our home ourselves in 2007. It is modern but classic and decorated with contemporary colours and warmth. We would love you to come and stay.

The space
Your guest suite is private with your own access and a locked door between you and the main house to ensure your privacy. You have the accommodation (bedroom, living room and bathroom) completely to yourselves. Tea and coffee facilities are provided along with a fridge, toaster, microwave, crockery and cutlery in case you would like to bring cereal, bread or some such for your breakfast. (Breakfast is not provided). However, there are no other cooking facilities. We request that there is no cooking and no smoking. There is plenty of off street parking and access to your private entrance is up a gravelled incline (it is not steep), the rest of your accommodation is on one level. You are more than welcome to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. However, I feel it's important to say that having built the house and then moved to France, and now back again, the garden is still in need of some tender, loving care which is a work in progress. I think one could describe it as rustic :-) We absolutely love this house, and living in this community, and we hope you will find it as charming as we do.

The space
The room is set up for solo travelers and couples.

There is a queen bed, two seats, a wardrobe, chest of drawers and coffee/tea with a jug, cups, water & wine glasses. There is no fridge in the room. Wine & other cold drinks can be stored in my kitchen on request.

The new en-suite bathroom is compact with a shower.

The room has four windows, with lots of afternoon and evening sun. There’s a new heat pump and heavy curtains to block out light and cold.

This is an old cottage that has been renovated to a comfortable standard.

If you like character, you’re likely to feel at home.

This is a private bedroom with 2 King single beds and a couch. It is in a house that has a locked door in the hallway between you and the rest of the house. You have your own private bathroom and access to a laundry and tea and coffee making facilities. There is direct access to outside via a sliding door and a car park.
