- "We weren't expecting much from this lodge given the low price. But it hugely exceeded our expectations. On arrival at 7pm after a long drive, it was easy to find and park. The receptionist gave us a welcome that was so friendly and enthusiastic, it put most other hotels to shame. While the room was quite small and the bathroom shared (as we'd expected), it was nice and warm, giving us an instant boost on a cold night, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location couldn't have been better, with a range of decent restaurants within a short walking distance. There was a large kitchen and common room area with free tea, coffee and popcorn, outside there was a hot tub you could use up till 10pm, and the atmosphere overall felt more like we were staying a high-end hotel than somewhere cheap, even though we'd paid just £28 for two people. I would heartily recommend this lodge."
