Our self-contained Cottage is a well appointed, brand new, modern, double glazed and fully insulated relaxing getaway. We are on the outskirts of Martinborough on a small sheep and beef farm. The cottage is private from our house and looks out across native bush from the bedroom, lounge and a substantial covered in deck, where there are regular sightings of wild deer. Moreporks can be heard chorusing during the night and the Tui's during the day.
We are approx 10 minutes into Martinborough town, supermarket, cafes, hotels, restaurants and wineries. Greytown is a 30 minute drive away.
Morepork Cottage has one Queen Bed and a pull out double couch for any extras.
Morepork Cottage contains a gas hob, microwave and a BBQ on the covered in deck.

There are two bikes and two helmets available to use, free of charge.

Because of the straw bale construction the Studio is warm in winter and cool in summer. Orientated to the north it catches all day sun and opens out to a patio and pleasant garden area.

15 minutes from Martinborough Square - Strathnairn Cottage is named after the area of Scotland that the owners family originates from, the cute ‘but and ben’ cottage is nestled within the floral country garden on a small working farm. The beautifully restored 60sqm cottage is fully equipped, just sit back, relax and just enjoy the countryside.
The large deck allows you to enjoy views of the farm and garden while you plan your next activity.

The Cottage is now 11 years old and although built with modern materials imitates the design of an early NZ settlers Cottage. It is light and airy and comfortable and is fully equipped to the extent that it can be used as a permanent residence.
The Cottage sleeps a total of 8 with 2 double bedrooms - 1 is en suite - plus a mezzanine that has 2 single beds that is accessed by a small ladder, plus an annexe to the main living area that doubles as a double bedroom with a very comfortable sofa bed.

The space
The location is 15/20 minutes walk from the Town center where there are several very good cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarket. The Martinborough area produces worlds class wine and particularly Pinot Noir and winery tours with tastings are very popular but cycle hire touring is fun.

Guests can use all of the Cottage except the hall cupboard where we keep personal belongings and the garden shed which we keep locked as security when the Cottage is unoccupied.
Guests can also use the Cottage Grove Community tennis and petangue courts - there is equipment by the TV.
There is a gas barbeque at the rear of the Cottage that guests are welcome to use.

Other things to note
Oak Cottage is sited on two plots of land that total almost 1 acre with one plot devoted to Olive Trees that produce olive oil for us and also for sale. The home plot has been developed as a garden with a wide variety of fruit and citrus trees. There are two areas that are used for alfresco eating one on the Cottage Patio/Pergola and the other near trees that give shade. .

Butterfly Cottage is a picture book little late 1800s cottage, oozing charm and character. The cottage is steeped in the history of Martinborough. It was once a hairdresser’s shop, then a residence, located on The Square. It was relocated to Malcolm Street in the early 20th century where it was the first home on the street.

Less than 10 minutes (600 metres) walk from Martinborough’s vibrant Square, it’s the perfect base from which to explore the village, the wineries and the Wairarapa region.

The space
Butterfly Cottage is a charming, very old, mostly unchanged home from early Martinborough.

Parking is right in front of the cottage on the gravel area. There is room for two small or one large vehicle.

The cottage is kept cosy and comfortable by a heat pump/air conditioner in the lounge. Entertainment available with wifi, bluetooth speaker/radio, Netflix, Prime, Freeview and Chromecast. There is a comfy, large two seater leather couch and two fabric armchairs. There are plenty of books to read and a few board games in the hutch.

There’s a small kitchen with everything you need, including a Nespresso machine, fridge freezer, stove and fold out dining table for the compact dining area.

The main bedroom has a superbly comfortable, firm, super-king bed and French doors which open out onto a deck - perfect for breakfast or for a relaxing glass of famous Martinborough pinot noir. The second bedroom has a firm queen sized bed and an original decorative fireplace.

The bathroom has a roll top bath with shower over bath.

No laundry facilities are available at the cottage but there is a laundromat at the local BP service station.

***The cottage is very, very old and not overly modernised. The floors slope slightly and some of the floorboards are creaky and can be a little uneven. We think it’s all part of Butterfly Cottage’s charm but if you’re a little unsteady in your feet, this wee cottage might not be the best fit for you.

The Gatehouse is a cosy two-bedroomed cottage with separate living room and kitchen/dining area. It is newly decorated in a simple uncluttered style. Sash windows on the north side of the cottage fill the rooms with light. A woodburner and heat pump and plenty of rugs keep you warm in winter. The deck just off the kitchen is a warm and sheltered spot with morning sun, perfect for breakfast. A picket fence surrounds the lawn and newly planted hedges, ensuring your privacy. The host lives down the driveway and is very happy to answer any queries or provide recommendations.

A hidden gem in the middle of Martinborough, Fig Tree Cottage is a one-minute walk from The Square - the centre of Martinborough Wine Village - home of award winning wines, restaurants and boutique shopping.
While close to the town and amenities, Fig Tree Cottage is private and secluded, as it is amongst a beautiful mature garden. It features a fire and heat pump for warmth in winter; a claw foot bath (with plenty of hot water) for comfort and luxury; and summer decks and outdoor living spaces.

To lock the door:
1. Touch the keypad with three fingers.

The key to the back door and shed for the bikes (down the side of the house) will be hanging on the key hook in the kitchen.

The cleaners will come in after check out, however we do expect guests to strip the beds (not the duvet covers) and leave the sheets and pillow cases in the laundry tub, put dishes in the dishwasher and start it up, ensure barbecue is clean, remove any rubbish placing it into the 'wheelie bin' provided and put recycling into the recycle bin.

The Gatehouse on 26Rows Vineyard is a luxury holiday cottage situated on 26 Rows Vineyard. The Gatehouse is a well appointed with open plan living, designed with quality and elegance.

A complimentary bottle of 26Rows Sauvignon Blanc is provided to enjoy on the deck to enjoy the vista of the vineyard .

The modern kitchen/dining area is fully equipped for self catering, with generous provision for a continental breakfast, and flows into the cosy lounge.
2 bikes are available, to use.

The space
Situated on a fully working boutique vineyard. The cottage is a self contained two bedroom cottage with 2 queen beds. A fully equipped kitchen for self catering all the basis included ( oil, salt & pepper, cereals etc). All local product as well as bread, and milk for your continental breakfast.
Local Neighbourhood Coffee for the plunger and a range of teas is also provided
Each of the two queen sized beds has luxury linen to make your stay just a little more special.
Under floor heating in the bathroom with heated towel rails and luxury linen.
A bbq is available on the deck.
A bike shed attached to the cottage is available for storage of your bikes, as well as 2 bikes to use to visit the surrounding vineyards.
Only 1km from the square.
You can wander thru the vineyard, enjoying a glass of 26 Rows still or sparkling Sauvignon Blanc .

You will be able to walk around the vineyard sampling a glass of 26 Rows wine .

With a super efficient heat pump and heaters in both bedrooms and the bathroom , you'll be warm and cosy during your stay.
Both bedrooms are equally stylish. One had a King sized bed and the other hosts a Queen.
The newly refurbished bathroom is fresh and spotlessly clean.
There's crisp white hotel linen and fluffy white towels in the bathroom.

Dara Cottage is a self-contained, fully equipped vineyard holiday home in the Martinborough, New Zealand.

The space
Dara Cottage is a fully equipped, colonial styled, yet modern built holiday home in set among the vines of Dara Vineyard.

The cottage and sleep out are entirely for guest use.

Guest access
Guest have complete use of the cottage and the adjoining one bedroom sleep out and laundry.

There's a sunny deck and a private garden to relax in.

Other things to note
Complimentary breakfast supplies consisting of our own free range eggs, bacon, bread, milk, butter, jam, plunger coffee, and Twinnings teas are supplied for your first morning.

Linen (including towels) are provided.

The Vineyard House is a light, airy two bedroom house overlooking a vineyard. The house is on two levels; downstairs is the kitchen, dining, lounge, bathroom and laundry. Upstairs has two bedrooms with a bathroom in between the bedrooms. Both bedrooms contain a Queen size bed.
We do not charge additional fees for linen or cleaning after your stay.
Please note: Wi-fi is available.

The space
The Vineyard House is on the Golden Mile of wineries. It is next door to Aylstone Boutique Retreat. Along the road to the left is Schubert, Atarangi, Tirohana and Moy Hall. Margrain Vineyard is to the right.
Moy Hall has delicious food.
The house is perfect for a quiet and relaxing country break.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has a Nespresso Coffee machine.

The house is suitable for one or two couples, or two friends seeking time together.

Guest access
Aside from the garage, the whole house and deck is for guest use. The two bathrooms both have a shower and toilet. The laundry contains a freezer, washing machine, hot water cupboard. The washing line is behind the house.

The kitchen is fully equipped, the dining table and area is separate to the lounge. The lounge has two sofas for relaxing. The 50inch television has Freeview, however is a new smart television so you may connect to your own devices.

Other things to note
If guests are looking for peace and quiet, the kitchen and house is suitable to prepare and enjoy your own cooking, or put together pre prepared food.

The house has a large fridge, separate freezer, double oven, microwave, double dish drawer dishwasher.

Otherwise there are numerous options to go out.
Margrain Vineyard Cafe is
great for brunch/lunch and is located virtually next door.

Medici Cafe in the village square is also great for brunch/lunch.

For dinner, Tirohana, along the road, offers a delightful setting with gorgeous staff and home style food.
