There are great restaurants within a short walk of the Cottage and we have St Georges Restaurant that is open from brunch to dinner across the road for your convenience.

- "My husband and another couple stayed here while we were in town to go to the six60 concert. The photos actually don't do this place justice. Its was so clean and beautifully decorated. The beds had such luxurious linen and the towels were lovely and fluffy. What made this place so special though, is all the little provisions that krissie had left for us. The fresh uncut loaf of bread was so tasty, The bottle of wine and beers in the fridge for us as well as honey, jam, oatmilk and chutney that im sure she makes herself. The icing on the cake was the tiramisu cheesecake in the freezer! There was more but im not going to list them all here. It was a very relaxing and peaceful location and just wonderful to stay at. I will definately be back to stay when i next want to be in hastings/ havelock north. 😍"

The cottage is 2km to Havelock North village where there are restaurants, cafes and boutique shopping. It is set on 31/2 acreas with the owners house and 3 more cottages all private. Outside gate is walking/biking track. 25 minutes to Sandy beaches and the Napier airport also Napier city. There is a large deck with outdoor dinning, bbq and seating looking on to established trees.

There is plenty of room in the 100 year old Whare with wifi, power points, a fan , heating and electric blankets, pure cotton sheets and duvets on the two beds.
The Caravan is a couple of steps away with a roomy kitchen, plenty of bench space and everything you will need for meal preparation.
There is also a separate bathroom in the Caravan with basin, shower and toilet plus two large shelves for extra storage.

The space
We are on a rural property, The Berry Farm, only 4 minutes from Hastings City centre and 8 minutes from Havelock North. It is a peaceful environment with big vegetable gardens, lovely flower/rose gardens, fruit trees, boysenberries, blueberries and raspberries and complimentary apples for you in the late summer and autumn.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to walk around the property to see the animals, children may use the swings and there is room to sit and relax outside in the sun on the outdoor chairs.

The Retreat is a tidy self contained cottage (with private courtyard & BBQ) on our Berry Farm, only 3 mins drive from Hastings City.
It is very peaceful with fresh fruit in abundance.

We have an extra bedroom with a double bed @ $35.00 per night for one person or $40.00 for a couple. This room shares the Retreat facilities. See last photo.
This means that we can sleep five people in total.
Our price includes all linen, a jar of berry jam, GST, wifi & all cleaning on departure.

The space
We have plenty of space (nearly 3 hectares), swings for the children, a horse paddock for HOY ($10 per horse per night), farm animals, a pond and plenty of parking spaces for trailers, horse floats, etc. We have a large workshop and a hoist making our property perfect if you are here for Motocross or HB Car Club events.

Set amongst vegetable gardens in a semi-rural orcharding community, this beautiful self-contained one-bedroom cottage is a lovely retreat, set-apart and fully private from the main dwelling. Enjoy picking fruit fresh off the orange, mandarin and grapefruit trees and herbs from our lovely vegetable gardens. Milk, bread and fresh fruit are provided complimentary for your enjoyment.

You will love the sunny light kitchen and lovely large walk-in shower. Sleep peacefully in an elegant four poster bed made up with fresh, clean luxury 1000 thread count cotton linen. Stay toasty and warm in winter, or cool and calm in summer with a powerful heatpump/air conditioner keeping the bedroom at your perfect temperature.

Our cottage is a great choice for business travellers, golfers, wine connoisseurs (or anybody that enjoys a good vino), holiday makers and romantic weekends away. Easy and simple for short weekend breaks and equipped with everything you might need for longer relaxing stays.

It is fully self-contained with a beautiful new kitchen and lovely big bathroom. There is a fabulous large mahogany desk to work productively from and hi-speed, free and unlimited internet. The newly installed heatpump keeps the cottage toasty and warm in winter, or fresh and cool depending on what you prefer. With a beautiful four poster bed, crisp fresh and high quality linen you will enjoy wonderful comfortable sleeps! The cottage is kept beautifully clean and comfortable to suit every travellers needs and is a wonderful sunny and spacious space.

The cottage sleeps two adults in a luxuriously large super-king four poster bed and we can put a cot/crib in as well for a baby/toddler as the third guest if required, note there is a $30 charge per night for a baby/toddler. Please advise your requirements when booking.h

Guest access
You will have exclusive access to the cottage and are also welcome to help yourselves to fruit off the many citrus trees. We are often able to provide you with fresh eggs from our chickens so feel free to ask if you would like some. We try our best when possible to stock the fridge with basics such as milk, bread and eggs for your arrival:) Your driveway is a separate one to the main homestead so you will enjoy privacy and seclusion.

Other things to note
Please note, a baby or infant counts as a third guest and incurs a $30 charge per night. At times I have family or guests staying in the main homestead (which is through some gates and far enough away to ensure privacy for both groups), however we are completely separate at all times and access the property via a separate driveway.
