A roaring log-fire with all firewood supplied makes for a cosy winter retreat.
There are two bikes supplied that can be used on the nearby Woodside Rail Trail or biking around the picturesque streets of Greytown.

Our property is a 3 acre lifestyle block located on Udy Street, it's arguably one of the prettiest streets in Greytown and a very popular walking route. Access to the Brambles is down a long driveway lined with olive trees and the property is not visible from the road. On the property we have chickens, sheep, alpacas, we also have Peking Ducks free ranging. There will be some fresh farm eggs waiting for you on arrival.

The Brambles got it’s name from the wild Blackberries that run along the side of the cottage on the boundary to Pinehaven Orchard, feel free to pick your own when they’re in season.
There's a walking track at the end of our street that takes you through farmland and down to the river which is a great way to see some of the countryside.

We have a Maremma Italian Sheepdog 'Ricco' and little white fluff ball called 'Nix' (Japanese Spitz) They love to say a very enthusiastic hello to new visitors. We also have a Ragdoll cat 'Felix' and a couple of Kunekune pigs 'Frank & Louis' who also may run up to the fence to say hi

Greytown boasts having the most complete Victorian Main St in NZ. Just over 1 hour drive from Wellington, Greytown has become a Mecca for boutique shopping and has some great restaurants and cafes. We are 15mins from Martinborough with an abundance of wineries and olive groves. The property is a 2min drive or a pleasant 15min walk from the town centre

So if you're looking for a tranquil rural farm experience that's easy walking distance to town then this is the place for you but if you're not an animal or dog lover then it's fair to say that this is not the place for you 😊

Magnificent settings of old trees and churches. This is the character town of the Wairarapa and beyond. A short drive to the wine areas of Martinborough Masterton Carterton and Gladstone.
The studio is completely separate to the main house standing about 20 metres away and separated by the driveway in the middle. It has its own courtyard for out door living.
Catch a bus to the Martinborough Fair just 150 metres up the road.

Roses on West cottage was built in 2007 replicating the old colonial style of the mid 1800's but because it is a recent build it affords all that is good about todays construction but has the ambience of a past era i.e high ceilings, sash windows etc.

The cottage has established gardens such as box hedging and roses, several camilla's and other flowering shrubs also high hedging offers you a private setting for outdoor activities.

The early morning sun streams into the fully equipped spacious kitchen as it finds it's way to the front of the house by the afternoon where you may wish to relax and read a book or perhaps enjoy a glass of wine on the veranda.

There is a spa bath as well as a shower in the tiled bathroom for you to relax in before or after your days activities if you wish to do so.

If it is privacy, ambience, comfort and close proximity to all Greytowns attractions we think Roses on West ticks all those boxes.
Special conditions:
Departure needs to be no later than 10.30am as the cottage is serviced at that time.

The base rate for the cottage is for one room only. If you are a couple the rate per night is for one room but if you need to use the 2nd bedroom there is a one off charge of $50. The same also applies to 2 single guests using both rooms there will be a one off charge of $50.

Recently renovated cottage on our small lifestyle block. Quiet, relaxing and 15 minutes walk to the heritage village of Greytown with cafes, shops and restaurants. Close to the Tararuas for hiking and the Remutaka rail trail for cycling. The cottage sleeps up to four people with a queen size bed in the separate bedroom, a sofa bed and second single fold out bed in the sitting room. It has its own kitchen and bathroom.

Taraview Cottage is set in beautiful rural surroundings but only 2kms from Greytown village.
The half acre section is fully fenced so it is safe for children or your dog to run about on.
The cottage is fully equipped and all the linen is supplied.
Taraview is spacious and sleeps 4 people and kept warm with a woodburner with plenty of wood.

Located on a private 1/2 acre section close to town. Open plan design combined with character charm makes it an ideal weekender. Enjoy the wrap around deck in a private setting. Close enough to town by short walk or bike ride but tucked away to enjoy country location and privacy. The house is best suited for 1 or 2 couples or a small family up to 5 people. We can accommodate up to 6 on a case to case basis. Please read details listed before making an enquiry.

Welcome to Longforde, a very special, charming and beautifully furnished cottage attached to our main home but completely independent with your own access and landscaped to ensure your absolute privacy. Set on 4 acres of stunning gardens, each room has private rural views of the countryside and Tararua ranges. We are located at the end of one of Greytowns most beautiful streets, a walkable 2km into the shops and cafes. As well, we are on a popular walking and biking route to the Waiohine river.

The space
Our cottage is a perfect base to explore the Wairarapa or a beautiful relaxing and peaceful retreat to just stay put, enjoy and switch off. The cottage has a cosy separate lounge and kitchenette, It has no oven, but a microwave, small fridge and also a BBQ and outdoor cooker in the courtyard if weather permits to cook outside. The kitchenette is well equipped with crockery, utensils, wooden boards, platters, wine and champagne glasses, and all the essentials. There is a old french Bakers table converted into a kitchen bench with bar stools to sit at and also a little bistro table that 1-4 people can cozily sit around.
There are various outdoor sitting areas depending on the weather and the time of day, choose from the sunny little kitchen bistro patio table, the cool verandah in the hot summer months, or the private outdoor courtyard which catches the last of the sun with views to the Tararuas.
If you are a bath lover, we have a old rustic claw foot bath outside in the courtyard to relax in and gaze at the stars. For winter months we also have a inside bath.
We run a online artisan doughnut business from our stables Kitchen and always provide our guests with bakery treats. We also leave a loaf of bread for breakfast with butter, jams, tea, plunger and a Nespresso coffee machine.
There are 2 beautiful light bedrooms, a queen and a King. The King is a sleigh bed with stunning sash windows to sit in bed and watch the birdlife in the gum trees. Both beds are extremely comfortable.
For a 1-2 person booking, please let us know if you will be using the second bedroom, if so there is a additional $50 linen fee and the price will be adjusted accordingly. The cottage is full of old cottage charm with French doors, sash windows and old polished floors throughout.
For the winter months the cottage has a beautiful and very efficient log burner to relax by plus there are heaters throughout to keep you warm and toasty.
The cottage has freeview, Wifi and a chromecast equipped TV with soundbar.
For your use also we have two very comfortable vintage style cruiser bikes with baskets,helmets and a lock to freely explore the area and bike into Greytown village for lunch!

Historic Greytown is a beautiful town to just unwind and relax. Close enough to everything to walk and enjoy the cafes, restaurants and boutique shops. The town boasts beautiful parks, walks, a pool in summer, river spots and the bicycle trail. It is the perfect base to visit all the local vineyards in Martinborough, Gladstone and Masterton. There’s always something happening year round like enjoying the ever popular Christmas Winter festival in July, the wings over Wairarapa in November, and the many events over summer. A must see destination and place to stay.

Welcome to Golden Elm, a sun-drenched, rustic cottage a minute walk from all that Greytown's village has to offer.

It's the perfect couples retreat or getaway for a small family. There are two beautiful bedrooms: The master with a Queen bed, and a smaller room with a King Single.

There's a wood burner for colder nights and a clawfoot bath to relax in. The kitchen is bright and fully equipped with all the essentials and there is a BBQ on the patio, ideal for the warmer months.

There is a third room that isn't accessible. It's my two toddler's bedroom that I like to keep as their private space :)

We had this cottage purpose built 19 years ago and have furnished and appointed it with love and care. One queen bedroom, one king single bedroom and Annexe 3 m away with double bed, electricity and linking deck to Bumblebee. Town water, gas water heating, in a large tree-clad garden, you have privacy + space + parking. New heatpump. Water feature. GHD! Electric blankets.
Unsuitable for children under 3. Dogs must be on leash outside as we are rural. No cleaning fees. All linen supplied.

The space
We are in a rural situation, totally fenced on a quiet country road. We are four km from the centre of Greytown and about 2 km off State Highway 2. About one and a half hours from the airport, or one and a quarter hours from Wellington by car.
Apart from Bumblebee Cottage we offer the use of the Annexe with double bed, a loveseat etc with electricity, lights, deck but no plumbing. this is a 10 sq metre bedroom with a deck. The deck continues alongside the main cottage 3 metres apart.
NOTE: We are not able to offer stays of more than one week. Free range hens wander around and provide Eggs!

You have your own entrance right past the bright yellow letterbox at no. 47. It says 49 on your gatepost. Key access info is provided when you book so you can just go on in from the appointed time. You will be private and secluded but we are not far away in our own house, should you need anything.

Other things to note
We accept up to two dogs.
You are ten minutes to Martinborough's vineyards and eateries, and five minutes from Greytown's many boutiques, clothes and antiques shops and cafés and pubs. It is a popular area for Wellingtonians wishing to get away for a weekend. It is all flat and good biking country as well. The front decks of Bumblebee and its cute Annex offer relaxing garden views and our 7 young free-range hens wander about the acre of garden. We can recommend restaurants, cafés and sites to visit for fun and food.
We welcome up to 2 dogs.
