One bedroom, one bathroom apartment with a kitchenette. Please note that there is no oven or cooktop. There is a microwave and a benchtop oven, and a full sized fridge. The lounge has a heat pump for those brisk Taupo winters. Queen sized bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge that can sleep extra persons or children. Peaceful sheltered surroundings, relaxing environment, beautiful views of the Waikato river from the lounge and the bedroom window. Everything you need for a great breakaway from a busy life. There is a relaxing deck where you can sit and enjoy a nice glass of wine and enjoy the view. There are walking/bike tracks nearby that lead to Spa Park where the adventure begins. Very central, only a two minute drive to town or a 20min walk. Linen is provided. Check in time is 4pm on the day of the first night to give time for preparation in the case we have guests moving out on the same day of a booking. Special conditions: Please note the Waikato river is nearby and there is no fencing. Children MUST be supervised at all times. There is another unit attached that may be occupied at the same time. We also live on the property and are available if need be . You will have complete privacy with your own entrance. There is a shared outside lawn and garden but the deck is yours to enjoy. Hopefully the roses are blooming when you arrive.

- "We arrived late in the day, and the fire had been lit for us so the house was cozy and inviting. The beds are good, the water pressure is on point and the place is supplied with everything you could think of. It's only a short 7min drive (if that) back into central Taupo, the Landing and the new Countdown are very close and if you're heading to the mountain, you're in the right side of town to head down there. This is a great spot and one we will be back to for our next trip."

Lochaber Lodge is an Acacia Bay holiday home that's modern and features 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A light and sunny open plan living area opens onto a paved outdoor area which provides a comfortable and relaxing indoor/outdoor environment. The fully fenced section backs onto a well maintained reserve (with access through a gate in the back fence). The reserve has pathways, interspersed with seating areas, that are popular with walkers. A well equipped children's playground with a large grassed area for playing games on is located in The Circle, approx 70m from the house. The space in front of the garage provides parking for two cars, and, if required, boat parking is possible on the lawn area in the front of the house.

Access to the Taupō shops, cafes and restaurants is just a five minute drive away into town. A two/three minute drive to Acacia Bay takes you to the local restaurant.

The house is in a residential area, up on a hill, about a 30 min. walk into town or a 5 min. drive. Easy access to the lakeshore and all important points of interest. The view from the beautiful deck is spectacular, especially on a sunny day, and we felt like being surrounded by native bush. There was space under the deck for the bikes, the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, beds comfortable and lots of different seating areas to withdraw, relax and read. The house is beautifully decorated, and oh so many books and some good CD's! The only thing one should be aware of is that there is no door separating the upstairs area from the downstairs bedroom (with own bathroom and sep. toilet). It worked well for us though. The downstairs bedroom is of generous size and great for kids/teenagers who enjoy having their own space. We would definitely recommend this house and would love to stay there again."

We are 200 metres (2 minutes walk) from lake front, lovely beach for swimming, Wharewaka Point playground, close to lions walkway/cycleway which goes all the way to town centre (an easy 6km bike ride where swim start line is during Ironman races). Our accommodation is 7 minutes drive from Taupo town centre. Approximately 1km from Taupo Airport. Dropzone with trampolines and bowling is not far. Countdown is also just a few minutes drive.

This accommodation is behind our mainhouse, it has separate access and a separate walkway.

There is a large open plan living dining and kitchen area with high peaked ceilings and picture windows with wonderful views out to the lake. Doors open out onto a huge deck with a large outdoor table to enjoy those balmy summer evenings.

Mine Bay is a 100m walk from the house where you can swim to the Maori carvings about 40m from the bay, or just laze on the beach. Kayaks can be hired and there are bush walks to enjoy close by.

Should you choose this property for a winter getaway the comfy lounge area also has a open fire (firewood provided) to relax in front of and electric heating, so no chance of getting cold on those winter nights.

There is a separate TV room, complete with Sky, video, and a stereo/CD player. There is a modern kitchen fitted with all the mod cons and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

There are 5 bedrooms separated into 2 wings - perfect for 2 families to enjoy a holiday together. One wing has 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed and 2 single beds, plus a bathroom with shower, bath and separate toilet. Drones are not permitted at the Point. A Bachcare booking permits only the persons named in the booking to be at the house or within the gated community at the Point. Please note that the tennis court is shared and must be used with consideration to others. Penalties apply if special conditions are breached. Rotorua is only one hours drive and Hawkes Bay within 1.5 hours drive for a day of sightseeing and for the active traveller the Ski field and Tongariro crossing is an 1.5 hours drive. The Glowworm Caves are also 2 hours drive and Hobbiton 1.5 hours making Taupo the heart of the North Island and the perfect place to stay and explore from.

The Art House is a charming two-bedroom Lockwood home from the 1950s that is warm and inviting. Thoughtful touches throughout make you feel at home. Recently fitted with new double-glazed windows, it's exceptionally cosy. The heat pump and fire keep you warm. The back deck, basking in sunlight, is perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine and a good book. The lake and hot water beach are just a 10-minute walk away, offering endless exploration opportunities.

The space
Welcome to the Art House, your ultimate stress-free or adventure-packed escape! This super cosy two-bedroom Lockwood home is fully equipped with two queen beds, ( a baby cot is available ), a well-equipped kitchen, a fridge/freezer, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Begin your day on the deck, sipping your morning brew as the sun rises over Tauhara. Later, take a 10-minute walk to the lakefront, head to town to explore the boutique shops and cafes, or visit Spa Park for a dip in the warm Otumuheke Stream or a mountain bike ride to Aratiatia Dam.

With full cooking facilities, you can step away from the hustle and bustle and relax. A high chair is available for guests bringing infants. Enjoy dinner on the deck on balmy summer evenings or head inside to the roaring log fire, TV with Chromecast or Freeview, and speedy wifi on cooler nights.

If you prefer not to cook, there are food options within a 5-minute walk. A family-friendly pub is a great option for a meal or drinks on the deck There is also a great fish and chip shop and Chinese takeaway. There's also a shop nearby for any supplies you may need.

Guest access
The Art House doubles as my personal art studio, located in a room off the deck. I kindly request to use the space from 11 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. During your stay, you will have full access to the house as I solely enter the studio through the deck. I will notify you in advance if I plan to use the studio during your stay. If you are interested, I welcome you to join me in the studio and observe my creative process. Alternatively, I can be flexible with your schedule and provide a quiet environment for you to relax undisturbed.

Other things to note
Furry friends are more than welcome to stay, and the garden is entirely fenced for their safety. Nonetheless, please note that I cannot be held responsible if your dogs manage to escape, especially if they are skilled jumpers who can clear the gate. I encourage you to inspect the photos or ask any relevant questions to ensure that the property is suitable for your canine companions.

To make your dog's stay comfortable, water bowls are provided, and I kindly ask that you check the backyard for any doggy deposits before your departure. Dog bags are also available to make this task easier. Additionally, there is a fantastic dog park located just a five-minute walk from the property.

The space
Welcome to our gorgeous french style cottage with lake views and front deck....

Situated in a great area of central Taupo, just a short walk to the lake front and 15 minutes walk to the town centre, this French Style Cottage is the perfect place to stay for your next getaway.

The cottage consists of 2 bedrooms (one with a queen bed, one with single) and there is also a sofa bed in the living room if required. The 3rd bedroom is set up as a wellness room with the infrared sauna.

High quality linen is used on the beds and towels are provided. Eco friendly cleaning products are also used.

If you are arriving by car, there is ample off street parking available.

The cottage is situated in a quiet residential street but close enough to everything that is required. The closest large supermarket is a 20 minute walk, there is a smaller superette, fabulous cafe, fruit and veg shop, and butcher a mere 10 minutes walk away.

Taupo is an incredible place to explore - kayaking, boating, the mountains, cafes. restaurants, the lake and surrounding rivers, amazing bush walks and mountain bike tracks. It is also the most beautiful place just to chill and absorb the incredible surroundings.

As hosts we can leave you to be completely independent or help you with what you require be it a massage therapist, a private yoga class, organic healthy food, or just recommendations as to what there is available in our beautiful town.

Our charming stand-alone Cottage is in a quiet residential area and offers a cozy atmosphere, which is perfect for either your next holiday or for when you just need to get away to relax.

The space
Our 60m² Cottage sits on a 400 m² section. The backyard is fully fenced, and the front yard is partly fenced.
The Cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests. It has two bedrooms (1 x queen, 2 x single beds), a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, as well as all the other conveniences that you will need to ensure that you have a pleasant stay. The Cottage contains a heat pump, electric heaters, and electric blankets to keep you warm in winter. It also contains a ceiling fan for the summer months. If you have a small to medium size boat or trailer, then the Cottage will be able to provide you with onsite parking.

The Cottage has unlimited free Wifi, a Smart TV and Netflix, a DVD player with a great choice of movies and a selection of the good old-fashioned board/card games. There is also a pretty garden with a covered deck, outdoor furniture, and a BBQ. An information packet in the Cottage will help you to customize your stay.

Lemon Tree Cottage is located just a few minutes from the lake and provides you with a choice of two boat ramps. Being so close to the lake allows you to enjoy all types of activities, whether there are on the water or on the lakeside. Do you love cycling like we do? Hop on our tandem bike and explore the beautiful bays of Lake Taupo. You can follow the Lions Walk into town by bike. There are a number of picnic and rest areas along the lakeshore where you can stop and take in the views or have a swim. In the evening, stroll to the lakeside with our picnic basket to enjoy the legendary Taupo sunset with a glass of wine. Lemon Tree Cottage is also within walking distance to the famous 2 Mile Bay Sailing Club, which is a popular destination for both locals and visitors to Taupo.
