This farm cottage has amazing views of farmland, waking up to peaceful views of grazing cows is like a dream. It is north facing and is very spacious inside and out. It has a cosy living room where you can relax playing board games as a family or watching TV around the fireplace.

Karearea Cottage is on 4 acres with a horse/donkey next to the cottage. We are central to the Waikato, minutes from the Waikato Expressway/SH1 - approx. an hours drive to Auckland, west coast surfing/fishing beaches like Raglan, 90 mins to east coast Coromandel's world renowned beautiful beaches, a short drive to Hakarimata bushwalks with 800 year old Kauri, Golf Course, Hot Pools, Huntly Speedway, 20 minutes to Hamilton, Hampton Downs Raceway, and lovely cafe's a short drive.

The space
You can have a private stay using the lock box or come and have a chat to Dave and Fransiska who are happy to walk with you around the land meeting Dazy and Carnival (horse/donkey . We have a mix of guests who use the central Waikato location as a base to travel to other spots, for time out, or stay for weeks on end such as for work in the area, hospital rehab, between buying property, or study retreats plus many other reasons like Wedding Anniversaries, pre-wedding preparations, or staying the night on honeymoon travels with photo shoots with Dazy and Carnival, or simply a great place with the horse/donkey to stay on travels in or out as approx an hour from Auckland/Hamilton airports.

Guest access
Lockbox self entrance. The whole cottage and deck areas will be your space. The garage and washing is usually accessible, but if you indicate infants or children access is unavailable unless prior arrangement as we normally keep our yacht in there and other equipment which might be unsafe for them. There is a patio with a charcoal BBQ available. The patio and gully paths lead to a pond therefore children will need to be supervised at all times. The paths are dirt and mulch so can be slippery when wet and maybe overgrown as we are still developing the area and shifting a gazebo there.

Other things to note
We are close to the shops and facilities. The washing machine is available in the internally accessed garage. If you have an infant/child this will be locked for their safety and can be unlocked by requesting, via the AirBnB message, the door be unlocked (but you will need to take on responsibility for your children not accessing the garage) or by the garage remote which also can be requested if you want access to the garage but the internal accessway kept locked for the children's safety. The garage has lots of items that are not childproof eg our yacht is in there and other equipment. There is a pond at the base of the gully bush so the second bedroom ranch slider is safety locked which can be opened at the top of the ranch slider but children will need to be supervised. Also there are water troughs and large animals so children will always need to be supervised. The bookings don't always indicate children so please let us know so we can lock the internal access garage and spare bedroom lock - or please use the safety lock yourselves to keep children safe.

The space
Our luxury cottage is a new build, new flooring , new queen bed with gorgeous quality linen sheets ,duvet and extra comfortable pillows! Bathroom is beautifully tiled ,roomy shower, heated towel rails and plenty of towels!
The breakfast bar/kitchen/living area has a wonderful view out west over gorgeous farmland and hills,extremely private and scenic!
There’s a comfortable couch which can also turn into a double bed if needed.
Deck area for sitting outdoors and having a beer/wine and relaxing , around beautiful surrounds!

You have ample parking around the cabin.The road goes to the cottage driveway directly so it’s a very private access.
Cottage has truly amazing views.
You feel you are really having some time away from the bustle of the city!
