This gorgeous architecturally designed modern house is xx positioned to maximize the sun and as well as to enjoy the amazing views of the vineyard and the Tararua ranges. There are four outdoor sitting areas three vineyard facing and one a windless courtyard which has outdoor dining and bbq.

The large garden is perfect for the family to run around and play. There is also a
Petanque court. There is access to walk around the adjacent vineyard which can be enjoyed on the weekends and restricted hours during the week days.

The kitchen is well stocked should you wish to use it or there are many fabulous eating and drinking options in and around Martinborough for those who like walking or biking or simply going for a game of golf again there are plenty of places to go. There is an outdoor public pool close by during summer months as well as a dog walk park which is available for giving your dog a run.

The house is warm there is a heatpump as well as a log burner and extra heaters if needed during the winter. We do have concrete floors throughout the house.

1960s fully renovated home in the heart of Martinborough. Perfect getaway for a couple, family or friends to explore the local boutique wineries or the many attractions the Wairarapa has to offer.

We have two queen size rooms and one king single, all bedrooms have good sized wardrobes. The home is fully fenced and perfect for families and dogs are welcome but please enquire first.

It is the perfect getaway for any time of the year, we have two beautiful large decks one south facing out front and one in the back for all day and evening entertainment. We have new radiator heating to keep you warm and cosy in the cooler winter months.

- "I grew up in the area, but actually staying *in* Martinborough was a novelty for me. And what a wonderful little home to experience a town that has changed a LOT since I was a kid. First things first: the house is adorable and cozy. We were there in winter, and its central heating kept us nice and warm. We would absolutely stay here again next time we're in the area. We didn't really get to make use of the deck and garden, but I can only imagine that a cup of tea with the birds first thing in the morning would be magical. Everything in town is so compact that talking about the convenience of this home is a bit of a misdirection. Yes, it's very convenient, but Martinborough is very convenient. Nothing in town is far away. It was an easy walk to the square and everything in it. So I'm going to look at the bigger picture: if you take the time to get out of the vineyards, the Wairarapa is an endless collection of wonderful experiences that are all at least 20 minutes away from everything else. It's hardly a burden, but there's a lot of driving rural roads to get anywhere, including home. But after a full day of black sand (Lake Ferry), seals (Palliser), unexpected hikes (Putangirua), it was effortless to roll back into Martinborough and pull up to this little house for a quiet night where we enjoyed the kiwi dip left for us by our host. Everything works, and the house is well-equipped and stocked. A gem of a home."

Blackbird House is a delightful ‘home away from home’ in the heart of Martinborough, perfect for everyone - couples, family and friends. A three bedroom house on a private sunny sheltered corner section only one block to all that the Martinborough village has to offer - cafes, restaurants, bars and boutique shopping. We are also only a 10 - 20 minute walk to a number of vineyards (and there is four bikes if you wish to go further afield). It’s the perfect location for just parking and leaving the car in the driveway while you enjoy the village and surrounds.

We have an open plan living area. Our sectional sofa is perfect to spread out on with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The large dining room table is great for gathering round for meals or playing games. The living area opens out to the sunny sheltered section.

The bathroom facilities are; a large rain head shower in a separate room, a bathroom that has a spa bath, basin and toilet and a seperate toilet with a basin. Two of the bedrooms have also have basins - providing plenty of places for everyone to get ready for the day or evening out. Hot water is provided by an infinity water system ensuring that you will always have a continuous supply.

The section is fenced and, subject to a small charge ($30 per pet per stay), we are happy to have your dog to stay (please enquire). We ask that they stay off the furniture and beds and that it is not left inside the house unattended unless crated.

For summer entertaining we have a pergola where the larger of the outdoor dining tables sits under - enjoy your meals outdoors and at night under the solar powered festoon lights. There is also a smaller table tucked in a sunny corner. A hammock swings from the pergola to the tree - a perfect spot to read or have an afternoon siesta after some wine tasting. A BBQ is also provided. For winter there is a wood burner with a supply of dry firewood with a heat transfer system ensuring the house is toasty warm. The kitchen has a dishwasher, large oven and fridge providing everything is there for you should you decide to stay in for your meals. We love our coffee and the village has some great cafes but for your coffee enjoyment at the house we have a Moccamaster glass carafe coffee machine for your use. Plunger, instant coffee and tea are also provided together with some other kitchen basics. Free Wifi is also provided.

For adventures further afield to the incredible vineyards, we have four bicycles (and helmets) plus two scooters. With the flat streets and roads it really is a wonderful way to take in the beauty of Martinborough.

Hidden Valley Getaway, more commonly known as "The Winery", was once a working vineyard/ winery, known as the Hidden Valley Vineyard.

The winery building was built in 1999 out of straw bales. Current owners, and your hosts, Bridget and Jono Hartnell (who live onsite) have recently converted this characteristic building into a fully functional, modern and charming house. Spacious in size, this nearly 200 square metre house is the perfect getaway for family and friend groups.

The space
The space consists of 3 bedrooms, a large lounge, a large games room/ second lounge area, kitchen, bathroom, and separate toilet.

Nestled in the Moiki Valley, 10ks from Martinborough and 12ks from Greytown, you will find yourself surrounded by farmland and native bush reserves.

The kitchen is well equipped with a dish washer, fridge freezer, microwave, full oven, and all required cutleries. We provide tea, coffee and sugar, otherwise this is fully self-catered.

We have a new BBQ/ outdoor pergola area for our guests to enjoy. Our BBQ is self-cleaning, so please leave it how you found it.

The two large living areas each contain a TV with free view, Netflix and other smart TV viewings. A pool table and bar area are found in the games room.

We have a selection of board games and outdoor games available for your entertainment during your stay.

Hidden Valley Homestay can comfortably sleep 9 people with the option to sleep a further 2- 4 free of charge (see details below).

EXTRA BEDS
There are two-fold down couches available for 2-4 extra guests, free of charge.
No linen, blankets or pillows are provided for the extra beds, please provide your own.

We worried that only one bathroom with five folks would feel a little tricky, but we made it work (having an outside door to the toilet room let us utilize the shower/toilet as two separate rooms), and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Communications with the host were prompt, kind, and easy. Would stay here again!"
