The master shower has dual heads but only one side had hot water. We never used the pool because they wanted to charge us a ridiculous amount of money to heat it up. This is the only rental I’ve seen that charges $200/ day! There is no hot tub which was unfortunate but we wouldn’t want to pay that price anyway. The WiFi was ok as it would kick us off whenever we left the house and you would have to connect again by inputting you information all over again. That was a little annoying. The kitchen could use a few more slices, cooking spray, coffee filters and regular sugar . Overall it was a nice and safe location ."

The fridge was not getting cold when we got there, and many items needed to be placed in the freezer where they eventually froze by morning. The home was gorgeous and the beds were extremely comfortable. It was kept cool into the 117+ degree weather. The actives we were able to use was the pool table and the kitchen. They were well used and enjoyed by the family. "

- "I booked this property for myself, my teenage son, 2 friends and their teenage children for a sports tournament nearby. The house was dirty with hair in the bathroom and mold on the walls and there was garbage scattered in the backyard. The neighborhood was noisy until close to midnight both nights of our stay, despite the noise ordinance and our call to the Property Contact. This property sleeps 6, not 9, as advertised. The teenagers slept on the floor on air mattresses we happened to bring. There is not a pool but rather a metal tub of cold, dirty water. After our stay, the Property Management company, Evolve Travel, refused to refund us for all of the issues we experienced - the noise, the dirty condition of the property, and falsely advertised amount of of sleeping space and amenities, even after sending photo and video documentation as they requested. There are plenty of other options in Indio, so book something, anything, else. We couldn’t leave this place fast enough."

The road and drive up to the house are admittedly a bit rough, but quite manageable even for a small car, if you take it slow. However, a portable electric heater would be an asset to use in the kitchen/living room area, and possibly the bathroom as well. The outdoor shower was an interesting experience, a great way to freshen up after a day out. The location proved to be perfect for us, as we spent time exploring Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs and Joshua Tree National Park. We loved coming back at the end of the day to this quiet setting to prepare our own dinners in the well-equipped kitchen and made good use of the outdoor grill. We also appreciated the little extras, especially the coffee pods and cold drinks in the fridge. The various outdoor seating options looked inviting, especially with spring flowers in bloom. However, we were out during the day and the evenings were chilly, so we didn't take advantage of them as we would have if the weather was warmer. With so much to do in the area, we hope to be back and wouldn't hesitate to rebook at Casa Soza."

We stayed in the Athena cottage, which is basically a studio cabin. Perfect size for my partner and I. The kitchenette was sufficient for us to be able to cook full breakfast and dinner. The air conditioning was a wonderful welcome from the outside heat. We hiked around the property using the provided map and stopped at the pool for a dip. Of course being in the desert, the insects wanted to join us. We had a great time in the peace and quiet of the property and found it located close enough to town that it wasn't too inconvenient if we needed to go pick something up. We will definitely recommend and return."

It has expansive views overlooking the pool and out through the massive mountain walls of the name sake, Hidden Passage. A larger home with a private patio and expanse of windows to capture the views. Outdoor entertainment is greatly facilitated by the floor plan; may want to eat out everyday weather permitting. - "I rented this cottage for 6 weeks beginning in January. From the very first night Lasker, the owner, was amazing. He met me at the cottage to show me how everything worked. Then about an hour later I discovered the WiFi was in and out. I called Lasker and he was there in 20 minutes, called the internet company, upgraded the account and just like that it was working. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and in a great location. If it was warmer I definitely would have used the pool. If you're looking for a place to stay this is a great spot."

I would def stay again; hope they learn to take time to care a bit xtra to accommodate I think we might have been just the 2nd to stay Pros: -Location! walkable to all the PS downtown attractions. -Front garden is a gem; serene & peaceful -Amazing breeze/open air throughout w/ french doors -Great overall character and design -Great neighbors -Comfortable beds -Kitchen apps Opportunities: - Communication; maybe robot/AI response however timely. No guidance/details on the rental accommodations (ie missing one pager/text on how to work fan, locks, check out etc.) - Cleanliness; it was great after we did a full sweep of surface cleaning when we arrived. Assume with the open aired living it caused heavy sand/dust on surfaces needing wiped down. - Amenities; we purchased multiple items to meet our needs which future tenants will benefit from :) Kitchen was not equipped for extended stay although I proactively asked- they did say to let them know a week in advance what we needed. The home has a comfortable living room and dining space with a pull out sofa bed for extra guests. You will love the proximity to the mineral pools, lakes and tennis and pickle ball courts. The home has everything you need to enjoy the sunny weather and live the tiny house desert life to the fullest!

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cottage, as well as all resort amenities. Sky Valley Resort is the desert's best kept secret. Cottages, tiny houses and mid-century style manufactured homes meander around the lakes and trails.

There are 13 natural mineral pools in addition to hiking trails, tennis, pickle ball and basketball courts. You'll find a farmer's market every Wednesday and a little market + café at the clubhouse (open seasonally).
