Come stay in this cozy 2 bedroom cabin in western New York. Access to a 20 acre lake and all the peace and quiet you will need. Skiing, four wheeler trails and hiking all with in 20 minutes. Ride right out of your cabin on your snowmobile to access of 400 miles of groomed trails. Allegany state park is right across the street for site seeing and hiking. If you like to hunt there is 400 acres available across the street. Restaurants , Walmart, and shopping within 20 minutes. A short drive to Onoville marina you can rent a pontoon boat, kayak or canoe and go out on the Kinzua reservoir. Another short drive and you can rent a canoe or kayak from either Allegheny outfitters and float down the Allegheny river or Conewango Kayak canoe rentals and float down the Conewango river. If you have your own boat we do have a spot to park them. There's a boat launch 2 miles away at Webbs ferry boat launch.

The cabins are a great place to see all kinds of wildlife ( might see deer , black bear, black and gray squirrel, porcupine, chipmunks, birds and a fox or 2, just to name a few animals ) right outside your windows and on a clear night perfect spot for star gazing. A short drive to Onoville marina you can rent a pontoon boat, kayak or canoe and go out on the Kinzua reservoir. Another short drive and you can rent a canoe or kayak from either Allegheny outfitters and float down the Allegheny river or Conewango Kayak canoe rentals and float down the Conewango river. If you have your own boat we do have a spot to park them. There's a boat launch 2 miles away at Webbs ferry boat launch. The Kinzua dam is a sight to see, being its one of the largest dams in the United States east of the Mississippi. Also Johnny Cash wrote a song about it " As long as the grass shall grow"

This unique property offers a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room, and a large wrap around deck to enjoy your morning coffee on while watching the local wildlife roam. The master bedroom offers a plush queen size bed, while the second bedroom has two twin bunkbeds. This property is minutes away from downtown Bradford and is directly across from snowmobile trail 1A!

The space
This spacious cabin sleeps 6 comfortably and is great for all ages as it lies in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest. The master bedroom provides a plush queen size bed, while the other bedroom provides two sets of bunk beds suitable for adults and/or children. Both rooms contain a large closet with hangers as well as a dresser for use. With little ones in mind, we have provided sippy cups, plates and utensils for toddlers! We also provide additional items for children such as pack-n-plays if requested.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary utensils and cookware to make your stay feel like home. A few days worth of sugar packets, k-cups and tea bags will also be there for you to enjoy. The provided coffee pot is a 2 in 1 Kureg as it allows for guests to use coffee grounds and/or k-cups. For your convenience, cooking oil, spices, salt/pepper, tin foil, Saran Wrap and sandwich/gallon bags will be available at the cabin.

The living room is equipped with a standing air conditioner during the summer months. A 55” smart TV will also be available as guest are welcome to connect to their paid streaming accounts. The living room also houses many books and games for the whole family to enjoy. The two couches are chairs recline to allow the guests to relax and enjoy a movie theater experience while at the cabin.

The dining room seats 6 guests. Wine glasses, shot glasses, beer mugs and cocktail glasses are available for use. The dining room has three bar stools for guests to utilize as well.

The bathroom is completely renovated and has a large deep tub suitable for a relaxing bath after a long hike at the ANF. Amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, towels and makeup removal towels are available during your stay.

The deck on the property is breathtaking as it spans from the side of the house all the way around the back. Tables, chairs and an umbrella are available for guests to take advantage of while enjoying a meal, coffee or watching wildlife along the creek behind the property. The deck also offers a propane fire pit or feel free to enjoy a fire and s’mores in the large back yard . The master bedroom does have private access to the porch through a sliding glass door.

Internet access (Wi-Fi) through a StarLink connection is available on the property, or feel free to go off the grid and take a break from technology, as the area is limited in cellphone (5G) service.

Allegany State Park (New York) is also close by as Bradford is located near the NY state border. The Marilla Reservoir is located just down the road from the property offering hiking, fishing and kayaking. Visitors can take advantage of the winter activities the area has to offer and visit Holiday Valley Ski Resort, HoliMont, or enjoy the numerous snowmobile trails located within the Bradford area (trail 1A is accessible from the cabin). If you prefer museums or historical locations, Bradford and surrounding area’s offer the Zippo/Case Museum, Marilyn Horne Museum, Bradford Landmark Society, Kinzua Bridge, World War II Museum, Rock City Park, and the Penn Brad Oil museum. Other local activities include bowling, family owned restaurants, chain restaurants, parks, golfing, ice skating rink, movie theater, and shopping.

The space
Grammy’s Cottage is surrounded by woods. Less than two miles away is Pine Acres Golf Club, a public course and restaurant. Some of the best fishing holes are just around the corner. And it is surrounded by hiking trails.

Our history: When we retired in 2011 it was to Timberdoodle Lodge which has grown to better accommodate full-time life. Besides our main residence and Kellidoodle Cottage, Grammy's Cottage was built for family members but now we want to share with you as well.

In 2003, when we purchased Timberdoodle Lodge, it was an escape … from the city, from our busy lives. Back then we couldn’t wait to pile in the car after a long work week and drive 7 hours from the city to our little piece of heaven.

It wasn’t long before the little garage next door became guest space--now known as the Kellidoodle Cottage. It is and has been the scene--for family and friends who became our family-of many good parties, good times and a lots of love! For relaxing or playing (or even a little bit of working) Timberdoodle Lodge is the perfect place to be.

We love dogs and will allow your well socialized fur baby. However for insurance purposes, we exclude the following breeds: German shepherd, pit bull and their mixes, Doberman pinchers, huskies and Rottweilers. Since we also have a fur baby, we would like yours to be friendly with him as well as to children and adults. We do char cleaning fee of $50.

The Lost Woods Cabin is a newly constructed timberframed gem located in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest. This secluded, majestic cabin sits on 25 private acres that are bordered by the Allegheny National Forest and is only ten minutes away from three different boat launches on the 50-mile-long Kinzua Reservoir. It is truly a quintessential forest getaway with all the modern conveniences, including Star Link's internet.

The space
We named her the Lost Woods Cabin as over eighty percent of the cabin is built using tree species, Ie. American Chestnut, Elm, Ash, Hemlock, Butternut, and Beech, which are no longer or may soon not be, viable for timber due to their loss from invasive species. I custom-built the cabin with these tree species to showcase their beauty and value and increase awareness of the unreplaceable loss caused by invasive species to our forest.

From the porch of the cabin, you can throw a stone onto Allegheny National Forest property. Here you’ll find a small native brook trout stream that transcends a twenty-foot drop over a jumble of large rocks filling your evenings with the soothing sound of babbling water. Within 150 yds both above and below these falls, some very busy beavers have created magnificent dams. One has flooded out an area of boulders the size of houses creating a delightful rock island landscape while the other created a large meadow that is now home to red-wing blackbirds, bullfrogs, and dragonflies. Just above the lower beaver dam is a large rock outcropping with moss and fern covered apartment-size boulders, reminiscent of the rocks at McConnell Mills State Part. These giant boulders are stacked and jumbled in such a way as to create a wonderland of small caves and twenty-foot mossy stone walls just begging to be explored.

Whether your interests are hiking, boating, cycling, fishing, hunting, ATVing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, xc skiing, rock climbing, dining, wine tasting, or breweries, you will find it all within 30 minutes of here. If you just want to get away from the rat race or find a perfect remote work location, you’ve found it!

You have full access to the cabin, and because it borders the Allegheny National Forest, you can roam the woods for miles. We have several mowed paths on our property for you to explore, or we can set you up with our favorite walks in the ANF using an app called All Trails.

Other things to note
Two of the single beds are located in the loft. The center of the loft is only six feet high and the loft is only accessable by a ladder. Please be careful when using the ladder.
