Our beautiful Davis Mountains surround this cozy cabin, nestled in Limpia Canyon, just minutes from downtown Fort Davis and located on part of the historic Sproul Ranch! The cabin sleeps four in a one king bed/one bath, including full-size sleeper sofa in living area. The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. Two covered porches (back porch screened) provide the perfect spot for entertaining, bird watching, star gazing, reading and relaxing. Come sit back, relax, enjoy the views, and take a hike!

This Texas-style home is located on 5 acres on a hillside with beautiful Davis Mountain views. The location is outstanding. Just 8 min to Davis Mountain State Park, 20 min to McDonald Observatory & 15 min to downtown Ft. Davis. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, coffee pot, toaster, knives, kettle, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven and gas stove. There are three bedrooms in this home. One is a spacious master bedroom with a queen sized bed and a sitting room that has a gas fireplace. The other two bedrooms have double beds and are themed: "cowboy bedroom" and "Native American bedroom." All bedrooms contain premium bedding. Both bathrooms are full bathrooms and are quite nice. The guest bathroom has a tub/shower combination and the master bathroom contains a Greek soaking tub. If you need to combine work and play, no problem. There is an office and free Wi-Fi. Feel free to bring your own ether cable to plug right into the modem, if desired. The living room is furnished with red leather furniture, a coffee table, cow hide rug, gas fire place and a 55" Visio television. The dining table seats 6 people. A small bar area seats 2 additional people. The kitchen, dining and living areas are open concept. The views from every window in this house are beautiful. The porch is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy morning coffee while watching for deer or for sipping a glass of wine in the evening while star gazing. Deer often visit the property early in the morning and near dusk. Also, there is a utility room with a large size washer and dryer. You will know that you are in Texas while staying here because of all the unmistakably "Texas" furnishings and overall style. There is a carport suitable for 1 vehicle, and there is additional parking in the circle driveway. Guests staying 7 nights receive a 10% discount. Recently renovated 100 year old Adobe house with views of Sleeping Lion mountain. Located in the heart of historic Fort Davis on a quiet side street just three blocks from State Street, Agave House was completely renovated in 2021 to a very high standard. The interior is contemporary with a Sante Fe influence, featuring vaulted beamed ceilings in the living room as well as a wood burning fireplace. Original art in the form of paintings and wall hangings is displayed throughout the house. The well-equipped kitchen is all new with dramatic concrete counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The main bedroom has a king bed, sitting area, walk in closet and a private porch. The en-suite bathroom has a luxurious shower and a claw foot tub for your enjoyment. The second bedroom has a queen bed and shares the main en-suite bath. Bedroom 3 has two twins and its own bath with shower. There are multiple outdoor seating areas with views of the surrounding mountains and historic neighborhood. The house also includes a car port. Marfa and the McDonald Observatory are both about a 20 minute drive from Agave House.

Country home of early Pioneer settlers, updated home on 1/2 acre, easy walking to all the downtown community offers, and 1 block to Porter's Grocery Store. Lovely new Sunroom with view of the Fort Davis Mountain Range. Historic windmill and water tank on property, with plenty of room for parking. Also a nice outside B.B.Q area, lovely Pecan Trees and wide open views. Hope you enjoy sitting outside and gazing at those beautiful star lite sky at night. In July you'll enjoy the fire flys, cool nights, no humidity!

The mini-split air conditioners were excellent during the record setting heat, plus they have more of a soothing "white noise" sound than most HVAC systems. The cabin definitely had the "Ft Davis look which we like more than the "all motels look the same". We're not accustomed to the total technology reservation and check in system of VRBO as this was only our second time to use it. Comfortable beds, good air-conditioning and good shower which are the three main requirements for hot days in August!"

The Lavender Cottage features 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. - "The location was great - very close to the fort and the Main Street area. The home is huge. The pictures on the listing don’t show just how large the space really is. It was great for our family of 6 - four kids ages 10-12. It was so nice having a large kitchen to prepare meals and a laundry room to keep up with the vacation fun. When we arrived there was a lock box on the AC and the inside temperature was in the mid 80s - we had to message the host to set it on her end but there seemed to be some trouble with the programmed settings and it kept resetting to a higher temperature than desired. The maintenance person came promptly in the morning to remove the box so we could access the thermostat directly. Unfortunately though, it seemed the AC was having some issues and had a hard time keeping up in the summer Texas heat. The last day of our stay cooled down a bit and we were able to open windows to improve the airflow. We enjoyed stargazing on the back porch at night and being so close to what the town has to offer."

The space
The 1979 Songbird is a fully renovated 24ft travel trailer. We have provided you with an induction cooktop along with kitchen supplies and most ammenities that you could need to enjoy your stay in beautiful Fort Davis. The bathroom has also been fully renovated and in case you need more room, we have a much larger bathroom for all guests to use on site. You’ll have a comfortable queen size bed with storage underneath along with linens provided. There is a folding leaf table and chairs in the trailer to enjoy your meals, or take yourself out to the deck and enjoy the beautiful sunset or sunrise in our park-like setting. The AC blasts ice cold air for you during the dog days of summer and there’s a heater to keep the place toasty during the cold winter nights, and an additional space heater is provided just in case you need a little more! Pets allowed upon approval.

Guests will have full access to the trailer and attached deck. In addition, there is a full size, shared access bathroom available to all our guests.

The Sprinter is a travel trailer in beautiful Fort Davis, Texas. Located in the center of town within walking distance to shops and restaurants; close to historic Fort Davis National Historic Site; 20 minutes to Marfa, Alpine, and the McDonald Observatory; 40 minutes to Balmorhea and Valentine; and an hour and a half away from Big Bend National Park. The space
The Last Resort consists of 5 travel trailers in an RV park type setting. While we are located in town close to shops/restaurants, The Last Resort is secluded and private with lots of large trees. The 2007 Sprinter is 35' long with 2 slide outs. It is very spacious with 270 sq ft of space. You'll have a full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, oven, and gas stovetop. Pots and pans, dishes, coffee maker, glassware, and silverware are included. The trailer has a full bathroom and a large separate bedroom with a walk around king size bed. There's also a fold out sofa bed in the living room. Enjoy the mild Fort Davis weather on the 35' covered deck.

We are currently working on the grounds, so please "pardon our dust" as we upgrade our outdoor space.

The Skyline Nomad is a cozy renovated 17ft travel trailer. We have provided you with kitchen supplies and most ammenities that you could need to enjoy your stay in beautiful Fort Davis. The bed is a 10 in Full XL with memory foam and gel infusion. The bathroom has been completely renovated and has a full size toilet, sink, and tiled walk-in shower. There is a folding leaf table and chairs in the trailer to enjoy your meals, or take yourself out to the deck and enjoy the beautiful sunset or sunrise in our park-like setting.

Guests will have full access to the trailer and attached deck. In addition, there is a full size, shared access bathroom available to all our guests. There is also a dog run on site available for our guests.

We sit on Dolores Mountain overlooking the Chihuahuan desert. U must like a little dust, stars and dirt roads to like The Roadhouse .There’s no other place quite like it that looks over the desert and to the mountains beyond. We are in the country and on a dirt road yet only 1 mile from the beautiful downtown Fort Davis, The Fort and restaurants. Please look at the astrophotography pictures taken from our property. It is the bottom cabin as our personal cabin is the top cabin.

The space
We are located on Dolores Mountain and only a mile from downtown Fort Davis. The Chihuahua Desert Institute is 1 mile away. The McDonalds Observatory is 26 Miles. Paisano Hotel is 20 miles. This is where Rock Hudson, James Dean and Elizebeth Taylor stayed when filming the movie “Giant”. We are also 34 miles from Balmorhea, where the largest natural pool in the Southwest is. You will see the most picturesque sight you will get of the Chihuahuan desert from your front porch. The cabin is 800 square feet divided into 2 rooms. A king size bed in one room and small living room and kitchen in the other. It is not an elegant city home. It is a quaint country cabin with antiques and cowboy dishes but it is very clean.(We do not have WiFi but most people can access their phone internet).

You won’t forget your time in this romantic, memorable place. Private driveway and extremely quiet. Right in the middle of town, but you’ll never know it. This tiny house is down an alley on the backside of our property also used by the deer going through town, but don’t worry they’re more afraid of you than you are of them. The inside has a touch of old with comfort of new.

This is a tiny house, but it seems very spacious. It’s an open floor plan with a curtain to draw between the bedroom and the rest of the house for privacy.

The tiny house is accessible through an alley that runs along the backside of our property. The alley is after Davis Street on fourth to the right or after Davis Street on third to the left.

All of our toiletries, hand soaps, and hand dishwashing soaps come from Public Goods. This means that they are eco-friendly(reusable containers filled from bulk), not animal tested (vegan friendly), and free from parabens, synthetic fragrance, sodium lauryl sulfates, phthalates, and anything derived from formaldehyde.

😊Our toilet paper comes from Who Gives A Crap. A comfortable 2-ply toilet paper derived from bamboo instead of trees. Bamboo is a great sustainable option because it’s naturally fast growing and rapidly renewable. It requires no tending, irrigation or fertilisation and only needs to be harvested once a year (it grows back very quickly after harvesting because it’s technically a grass)

Can you play tennis? There are 3 full size tennis courts across the street that's available for use, outside of school hours, on a 1st come, 1st served basis with the local community. There are lights on a timer that can be turned on after dark. Closes at 10pm. 2 rackets are available for your use.

There are 2 cruiser bikes on the property that are alloted on a first come first served basis, shared with the neighboring property. Please let us know if you would like to request access to them.

😊Our toilet paper comes from Who Gives A Crap. A comfortable 2-ply toilet paper derived from bamboo instead of trees. Bamboo is a great sustainable option because it’s naturally fast growing and rapidly renewable. It requires no tending, irrigation or fertilisation and only needs to be harvested once a year (it grows back very quickly after harvesting because it’s technically a grass)

Blue bird bungalow is centrally located (2 minutes from downtown) & is also tucked against the foothill of the Sleeping Lion Mountain. Look out the bedroom window & see the towering rock face with the occasional mule deer & aoudad grazing on the cliff side. Blue bird is a private room that is completely separate from the main hotel and includes a fully stocked kitchen, private restroom & shower. The bungalow has the best view in the house for our world famous dark skies and star gazing.

For cyclists, we are just .6 miles from the paved highway. The courtyard gates through which you enter can be locked at night for a secure and convenient place to park bikes when not in use.

The only space on the second floor of the home, the Treehouse has a completely private exterior entrance as well as exclusive use of rooftop deck. There is no access to the Treehouse from the rest of the home so you have total privacy unless we run into each other in the courtyard :)

Just a reminder we do have dogs living downstairs. They are generally quiet and inside but you may run into them on the property. They love people and while they may bark a greeting they are perfectly friendly. If by any chance a deer or javelina wanders through the yard while we are not at home they may bark. If they are ever bothersome, please send me a message right away and we will take care of quieting them down. Either we, our housekeeper, or one of our employees is always just minutes away.

Paisano Mountain Lodge is nestled on the side of Dolores Mountain overlooking the Chihuahuan desert and surrounding mountains. If you like stars, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, a little dust, and dirt roads, you'll love our place! The Lodge sits on about two acres cut into the mountainside, with room for kids to play and enjoy the outdoors. The space

Each room comes equipped with high-end queen beds, and each restroom carries full, walk-in showers. Every inch of the villa offers unparalleled views of the Davis Mountains.

You’ll enjoy each of the 2 Patio-Decks and fireplaces (1 indoor, 1 outdoor). The living room has a large, 50" Smart HDTV and a cabinet full of board games, card decks and dominos for laid-back family fun.
