- "We visited in the off season for skiing (in late May) and it was so quite in the town. Not many restaurants open. But It's just a short drive to downtown Chamonix, where dining and shopping options abound. The property was nice and clean. Very spacious. Incredible views from the balcony and hot tub. On some minor complaints: It is difficult to get large suitcases up the stairs into the place and then inside the place to second floor bedrooms. There was a bit of strong air freshener or cleaning agent smell in the master bedroom and some musty smell in the downstairs shower. We had to buy paper products (TP, towels) and trash bags for ourselves as there were no extras and on small amount stocked."

THE BUILDING :
Set over 120 sqm, Chalet Coralie is practical, well maintained and spacious enough to handle groups or families of between 6 to 8 Adults. You will have access to your own private Garage with enough space for two cars. The building is self contained and private despite being part of a wider block.

INSIDE :
There are three bedrooms with a further double sofa bed up on the small mezzanine level if you need the extra space, a family bathroom, as well as an ensuite shower and separate WC. Open planned living dining space and fully equipped kitchen will easily cater for your whole whole party. A fully equipped laundry room with both a washing and drying machine and a large separate ski room with boot dryers and plenty of hanging space.

OUTSIDE :
There is plenty of green space around the accommodation, with spectacular view of the whole Mont Blanc Mountain range. There is a garden and eating area outside which you can access from the double doors of the main living area and kitchen.

GREAT LOCATION :
Just off the main road to Argentiere 5 minutes before the Grand Montet lift and a short walk from the new Au Mont Chou boulangerie. You can also access the Ski du Fond trails behind the chalet (but please remember to buy your pass before you go..) cross over the main road to walk or mountain bike into Chamonix following the river.

GETTING AROUND :
The bus stop is a minute away from the residence with services up and down the valley.

USEFUL BITS :
Of course, there is WiFi, provided by Orange, it is not fibre (yet) but it is a pretty good service. If you need to book a transfer from Geneva Airport we recommend Haute Transfer, Mountain Drop Offs and Swiss Tours. We can help organise ski passes so that they are waiting for you when you arrive. Please ask if you have any questions.

Guests are placed 5 minutes’ walk from the local resort village shops, restaurants, tourist information office and train station. Marmotte Mountain Manor is a stunning chalet dating back to 1668. One of the first chalets to be built in the Chamonix Valley - very old fashioned, charming and of great quality. Location
The complex is close to all the skiing facilities – slopes, lifts, transfer buses. Given that the chalet is in central Argentière a car is not necessary, however, there is a private parking spot at the residence Chardonnet.

The charming village of Argentière spans the confluence of the rivers Arve and the Torrent de Lognan. It has everything that you could need: lively bars and excellent restaurants, good shops and of course, skiing. Close by there is Les Grands Montets skiing area and also some good cross country skiing tracks. For families with younger children, the Panda Club offers activities and ski lessons. During summer you can hike to the Glacier d’Argentière. There are other equally stunning hiking trails and also excellent mountain bike routes.

Geneva airport is 1hr and 25mins away by car. There are free shuttle services between Argentière and Chamonix, either by bus (22 mins) or by train (18mins), on the Mont Blanc Express.

Light,sunny, airy, spacious and colourful.

2 bedrooms, both with twin beds that fit together as doubles, 1 bathroom with bathtub and shower, separate toilet, large open plan kitchen, dining room, lounge. One of the bedrooms boasts the same wonderful views as described above. The single beds in this room (70) are smaller than those in the larger second bedroom (80).

There is an en-suite bedroom, appx 32 square meters in size, with 2.10 metre round double bed, bathtub, walk-in shower, toilet and washing machine. This room has views from large North, South and East facing windows and a small patio outside.

This cosy home is ideal for families.

Located in the delightful hamlet of Argentiere, away from the hustle and bustle of the main Chamonix town. The house is situated in a lovely spot very close to the village and all its amenities.

Numerous hikes and bike trails start from the front door. Abundant activities in the neighbouring areas including swimming pool, ice rink, rock climbing, canyoning, hiking and glacier walking. During the winter time this is a popular ski area.

Bus and train stop only minutes away. 7 minutes from both Chamonix town centre and Le Tour. Walking distance to Lognan, Grands Montets ski area, through wooded paths.

- "The property was perfect for our stay of 3 adults and a 15 and 12 year. We rented just after Christmas for a ski new years. We could leave the car and walk to the ski shuttle bus in under 10 minutes. Also a good choice of restaurants within in a 15 minute walk and a super market 5 minutes away. The house is in a great location, and is well maintained, but not a new house. All the heating was fantastic, which we really appreciated. I would love to see it in the summer when the windows are open to the garden. Jayne was always available to answer questions and keep things running, including how to reset the tv remote after all the wrong buttons were pressed. The master suite and bath includes a nice sitting area, and the 2 other bedrooms and bath are situated just off the large living room. Everything in the house worked well including WiFi and tv with Netflix. We cooked in the kitchen using oven and stove, and were very satisfied. Lots of pots and pans, and glassware, and tools. All in all I highly recommend staying at Sunshine for its amenities, comfort and a quiet place to stay in a great location. Argentieres is like a small village after all the crowds in Chamonix."

- "The hosts were fantastic and responded to all our needs very quickly. They communicated very efficiently and effectively with me. The ski locker with the boot drying rack was key, since our trip was based around skiing. It was an absolute pleasure staying there! - "We had a fabulous week in Chalets Hideaway in February 2024! Location could not be better, maybe 50m from the Plan Joran cable car station, two ski-hire places and a lovely restaurant and bar looking over the piste. Lots of other good places to eat locally - we'd recommend Le Rencard, Les P'tite Verte and Aux Dix Vins all within a short walk. FuBar close to Le Rencard also good and surprising good for teens/kids with pool table and mechanical bull! Chalet is lovely and amazingly versatile space with two double rooms with bathrooms (one truly en-suite, on right outside the bedroom) on the ground floor and a wonderful combination of a large room with three single beds and a separate double, plus a separate twin room and a bathroom on the upper floor. We were two families of four and let the kids take over the upper floor while the adults enjoyed the downstairs - worked perfectly! Definitely highly recommend and we'll look forward to returning in the future!"

- "Overall we had a very nice stay here! The location and views are unbeatable. Very short walk into town and an AMAZING bakery. The house itself is on the small size for the number of people we had (5 adults/1 toddler), particularly as all but one rooms are extremely small, and it is not very toddler-friendly. Few amenities were provided (for a week long stay there were just a couple rolls of TP, a very small bottle of dishwashing liquid, two tiny soaps, no kitchen basics, etc.), but the hosts left a lovely gift basket of local goods and the market is a very short walk to get supplies. Communication was a little challenging; hosts over-communicated before our arrival, seeming annoyed if we didn't respond immediately, and yet when we had an issue with hot water it took more than 12 hours to get a hold of anyone. It turned out there was a house binder we had been missing. They were very kind and brought it in person (with a bottle of Prosecco) and in the end it all worked out and we had a fantastic week. We would definitely be back, with a smaller group and no toddler."

I have a four-bedroom, three bathroom chalet in a quiet area of the village with fantastic views of the Mont Blanc mountains. This room has a double bed and a single bed.

In total, I have one to three rooms to rent that accommodate queen and/or twin beds, including a family room (one double plus a single). I have a lovely black Labrador that lives here with me.

The space
The chalet was built in the late 1960s and has recently been renovated to a high-spec. It is in the centre of the village of Argentière in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc valley, within a short walk to the railway station and the bus stop, as well as local businesses (supermarket, bakeries, restaurants and bars, ski lift etc.)

It was constructed over three levels. The main entrance is on the first floor, accessible via an external staircase. This is the prinicpal living area (lounge, dining area, fitted kitchen) but also includes a home-office and bathroom with toilet. Access to the large terrace is on this level. The ground floor includes the garage, cellar, laundry room etc. as well as the owner's bedroom/shower room. The top floor includes the three bedrooms that are available for rent, a shared shower room (with toilet) and a second lounge/TV area.

The terrace benefits from tables, chairs and sofas (weather permitting).

There is no on-site parking however there is a free, public car-park within a 50 metre walk from the chalet. Vehicular access is permitted for loading/unloading but cars are not permitted to park in the cul-de-sac.

Guests can access most areas of the chalet. I currently live on the property too and have a private bedroom/bathroom on the ground floor / garden level.

Other things to note
As noted elsewhere, I live on the premises with my female, black Labrador. We expect to have a litter of puppies in the summer of 2025 and I will be keeping one, so come the autumn two black Labs will live on the premises. They are not allowed on the furniture and in the bedrooms. If you are not dog-friendly, please look for alternative accommodation.

The complex is close to all the skiing facilities – slopes, lifts, transfer buses. Given that the chalet is in central Argentière a car is not necessary, however, there is a private parking spot at the residence Chardonnet.

Chalet Châtaigne is a stunning, brand-new, wood and stone chalet in one of the world’s best ski areas. It has four large en-suite bedrooms each with its own balcony or terrace, an open plan “cathedral vaulted” sitting room with log fire, huge south facing terrace, gardens and hot tub.

Up a private track on the edge of the pine forests, Chalet Châtaigne is incredibly peaceful but only a short walk from the ski slopes and the restaurants, shops and bars of the pretty village of Argentière.

The space
Every bedroom room has luxury linens, rugs, cushions, en-suite baths as well as showers and south facing views over the mountains.

The well-equipped, open-plan kitchen leads on to the large sitting and dining area with a doubled height ceiling and enormous sliding doors opening onto the sun drenched terrace. Plush designer sofas and a chaise long nestle around the large log fire.

The chalet mixes the traditional with the contemporary, combining wooden beams and panelled walls with high ceilings and Italian designer furniture. The flooring is stone and wood and underfloor-heated throughout.

It is equipped with the latest Sonos system, Sony internet TV, (with English and international channels), Wifi, DVDs, board games and books.

The view from the sitting room and terrace wraps around from the Grands Montets ski area to the Aiguille Midi and Mont Blanc. Facing south, the chalet gets sun all through the day.

The hot tub is just off the bedrooms. With its own sound system, it is the perfect place to wallow with a sundowner or, on those starlit nights, gaze up at the mountains.

For the skiers there is a boot room with boot warmers and ski racks.

We have a garage for small cars or an off street parking spot for larger.

LOCATION: Chalet Châtaigne is set perfectly at the foot of Chamonix’s best ski area, Grand Montets. We are 5 minutes drive to the lifts and right next to the cross-country ski trails. There is a skiable descent from the piste so you can also walk up to the slopes and ski home through the woods when there is snow.

With peaks up to 3800m and most of its skiing above 200Om it has some of best snow in the Alps.

Summer: Chamonix has world-class mountaineering and rock climbing, and is an excellent base for hiking, parapenting and biking holidays. Argentière’s hiking and mountain bike trails are just behind us in the woods.
