You can either go by car either by skibus (stop "L'Etelley") which is located at 300m from the Chalet (for both, it takes <5 minutes to reach the lifts).

- "A perfect chalet if you have a car and want to stay in Samoens" - "We spent a week at Chalet Josaly in February 23. The accommodation was great. There were 4 large bedrooms, 3 of which were double beds with en-suite shower room and the 4th bedroom had bunk beds and no en-suite. There was an upstairs bathroom with washing machine and dryer in and a separate toilet. Downstairs was one of the 3 doubles with a toilet opposite the entrance to the room. The property was beautiful with great views of the mountains. It was lovely and warm, so much so that we often had a window or 2 open overnight to make sure it wasn’t too warm. We were 2 families of 4 and there was plenty of space for us all. There was a dartboard in the dining area that kept the kids busy as well as an outdoor hot tub which again the our daughters loved (kids ages 17/16/14/14). The owner also offers services such as a bakery pick up in the morning, you just have to order by 8pm the previous night. There is also a wine fridge in the property that you can buy wine from too which was super convenient when we ran out of wine (ashamed to admit that happened!). The owner was also very quick to respond with any queries we had so great communication though they admitted their English isn’t great but was absolutely fine to communicate with. Overall we had a lovely week at the chalet and would recommend it highly to anyone interested."

We wanted it resolutely warm, modern, sustainable and turned towards the mountain. At the end of a dead end, quiet and yet only 5 minutes from the village square, the old lime tree, the terraces and the entertainment. We hope you will feel as good as we do!

The chalet boasts a hot tub and extensive gardens with an outdoor sauna. 10 minutes flat stroll from the centre of Samoens, it is in an idyllic location for holidays throughout the year, with the ski bus stopping 5 minutes’ walk away offering convenience, yet set back off a quiet road so you can be assured of a peaceful stay.

Renovated to the highest standards and designed with families and groups in mind, the chalet is a real gem. It offers around 140m2 of accommodation arranged over 3 floors, creating a light and spacious, yet wonderfully cosy atmosphere with the blend of different woods, mixed with chic and contemporary alpine style. Enjoy luxurious treats such as the hot tub and sauna set in the huge flat gardens, under floor heating, Satellite TV, free WiFi, granite work surfaces, and a snug with Playstation 4 and games room.

Upon entry to the chalet you are greeted by the light and spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The living area has plenty of seating with a large corner sofa and a separate sofa by the log burner. The kitchen offers ample space for large groups, with a large wooden table seating 10 people comfortably situated with corner bench and cushions, plus 4 funky black chairs for larger groups.

The kitchen is fully equipped and offers a hob in the central island and plenty of work space. There is a mid-height full sized oven with microwave above, a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and NESPRESSO machine, complete with starter capsules. There's ample crockery and dishes, plus extras such as fondue kit and raclette machines for cheese lovers. As a luxurious touch, the kitchen is equipped with locally sourced black granite worktops.

Glass french doors lead onto the huge south-facing veranda equipped with dining and lounging furniture. Steps lead down to the extensive garden area, which is home to the hot tub and boasts the largest flat garden we have ever offered in our portfolio! So the perfect place for a game of football or for kids to run around and play safely, not to mention more than enough space for snowball fights or snowman building!

The 270 degree views from all areas of the living and dining room are truly spectacular, beyond the open alpine pastures, a waterfall can be seen, as well as the ski domain in the distance. Behind the chalet is the infamous Criou mountain, a hike not to be missed for the spectualar views it offers!

The lower floor can be accessed either via the internal stairs or the parking area. Here is a large utility room with ample storage for skis and boots, bikes, as well as a washing machine and dryer and hanging space for drying all your gear. The games room offers table football and provides storage for extras such as badminton and boules. The lovely snug area can be converted into a 5th bedroom with use of the double sofa bed. There is a large TV and Playstation 4 which doubles as a DVD player. Please note the head height is approximately 185cm (6.07 feet) on this level.

The electricity used at Chalet Toubkal is provided by its own solar panels allowing you to enjoy an eco-friendly stay. Plus guests have use of a 10KW EV car charger

- "Chalet Toubkal was just superb for our family of four and my sister's family of five. This was the first time we had seen each other in 2 years due to Covid. Particular to our situation was age distribution of our kid group which had 4 middle schoolers (siblings of 2 boys, 2 girls ) and an 18-year-old. The house was just perfect for this group as the basement room was great for the oldest to have space to himself. The foosball table, the hot tub and board games were wonderful for when the kids needed some fun and when the parents needed them to be somewhere else... The PS4 would’ve been great - if we had allowed them to use it. But seriously, the charging cable for the controllers was missing FYI. The sauna was loads of fun. The fireplace, in contrast to our early concerns about whether there would be enough wood, was amply supplied and provided for extra winter cheer particularly for those of us cramped in an apartment in northern Europe without one. Incredibly well-equipped kitchen with only a sharpener/steel missing for the knife ware. We used the raclette machine as well as the cast iron casserole that fitted our Christmas leg of lamb. The beds were great as was the layout allowing for parental groups to have privacy while the kids had their space and easy access bathrooms. The house was very clean. On our last day we somehow entered the wrong input on the laundry thinking that we had a 45min cycle but somehow landed on a much longer cycle. Luckily for us the managerial staff was incredibly professional and flexible enough (thank you Katrin!) to give us a little extra time to complete our final laundry load before our drive out. Highly recommended for 9 people easily. It’s the kind of place one makes a note of for future returns."

Chalet La Parenthèse is a contemporary , three-storey chalet for 15, with up to seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, as well as a cinema room, sauna, relaxation area and outdoor hot tub.

There are two double bedrooms on the first floor, each with a balcony, desk area and en-suite shower room. Five more bedrooms can be found on the top floor: two double rooms with desk and balconies; two rooms which can be arranged with large double beds or two single beds, also with balconies and desks (one also has an en-suite shower room) and a bunk room for up to six children. You'll also find a separate shower room and a bathroom on this floor.

This incredible home is an obvious choice for a large group of friends or family who like to spread out – apart from the seven main bedrooms mentioned above, groups of up to 15 who would like a little more space can use the two bedrooms and a shower room on the ground floor. Please check at the time of booking to ensure they are available.

On cold winter evenings, there's no place better than the huge squishy sofa in front of the fire, unless, of course, you'd prefer to watch a film on the huge squishy sofa in the cinema room! There's also a games room where children of all ages can let off steam.

1 - After the Giffre bridge and Le Kern bar: take the first exit of the next round bridge (exit to your right) towards the southeast direction along the Giffre (with the river on your right). You will then have ample parking to your right then dwellings.

2 - Continue on the Route de la Piaz: Follow this road until it turns into Chemin Rural du Chevreret.
3 - At the next roundabout (Sherpa and cinema), take a right again towards Sixt-Fer-à-Fer and the fruit maker.
4- Then cross the Pont du Clevieu then immediately turn left on Chemin Rural du Chevreret.
5 - Continue on this road following the signs until you reach number 368 Chemin Rural du Chevreret which will be about 4 min drive.

Latest landmarks: On the way, you pass several residences and a few turns. Le Mazot du Criou is on the right and is clearly visible with on-site directions.

You will enjoy 2 free and dedicated parking spots on the street just for you. All you have to do is cross the garden (about 50m on a low slope) to reach your holiday home.

Although quietly located, away from the center of the village, a tarmac road leads to the Chalet! No need to have a 4x4 to access it! La Marmotte has a parking space where you can park easily and free of charge.
You are a 15-minute walk from Place du Grand Tilleul, in the center of the village of Samoëns.
In winter, you are 3 minutes by car from the Grand Massif Express which takes you to the ski slopes. If you prefer to take the free shuttle, it passes 100m from the Chalet!
Samoëns offers one of the largest ski areas in Europe with the slopes of the Grand Massif, while having preserved its authentic charm and its alpine village life.
The bars and restaurants in the vibrant streets of the village will introduce you to a ski resort with a unique character.
The chalet is available entirely for rent.

The Grand Massif enjoys, due to its geographical location, abundant and regular snow cover throughout the season. The area is renowned for the quality of its spring snow. It must be said that 80% of the slopes are exposed to the North, which allows better conservation of the snow.

The name "Samoëns" dates back to 1167. It derives from a medieval expression which means "The Seven Mountains" which surrounded the village: Cuidex, Vigny, Folly, Oddaz, Bostan, Chardonnière, Fréterolles, La Vullie.
This is why its inhabitants call themselves the Septimontans and the Septimontaines.

On the banks of the Giffre river, on the threshold of a large glacial valley, the village is huddled around a large lime tree which speaks volumes about its history. Planted in 1438, still in great shape, the circumference of the "Gros Tilleul" trunk today reaches 9.50m.

On the ground floor, a large living room opens to a terrace with garden furniture and plancha (not available in winters), a well-equipped open kitchen (large fridge freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, oven, filter coffee maker and Senseo, toaster, microwave oven, fondue set, raclette machine, crepe maker, kettle...), a bathroom (shower, sink and toilet), a bedroom with a double bed of 160 with storage and wardrobe, a pantry with washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, table and iron.

Upstairs, 3 large bedrooms (a double bed of 160 and two double beds of 140) with storage and wardrobes, two of which open through a French window onto a balcony with views of the mountains, a large bathroom with walk-in shower, bathtub, toilet, sink cabinet with storage and large mirror, hair dryer.

3 private parking spaces, one of which is covered.

Sheets, towels and tea towels are provided. The beds are already made for your arrival.

Cleaning is to be done by you before your departure. If you wish, an end of stay cleaning option is offered at the price of €120 to be requested at the time of booking.

The 'Lazy Labrador' is a beautiful 18th Century Rustic Farmhouse 10 -15 minutes from the centre of Samoens and Ski Lifts. Providing an authentic and relaxing mountain experience and a superb base for skiing / paragliding / trekking / mountain biking and much more... This property is represented by 'Mountain People' Ski Chalets in Samoens.

The nearest ski lift is Samoens (Grand Massif Express) : 10 - 15 minutes drive from the chalet. There is no ski bus - a car is essential.

The space
The Lazy Labrador is a unique Samoens rental property - complete with outdoor 'mazot' cabin, this charming 18 Century farmhouse has recently been renovated, while retaining all the rustic beauty of a traditional savoyard farmhouse. The property is located in a historic hamlet in Les Chosalets (between Chantemerle & La Rosiere), just a 10 minute drive from the heart of Samoens and the 'Grand Massif Express' (GME) ski lift.

The living space features a Norwegian 'Jotul' stove and is a snug spot for board games. Choose records from the vast music collection and enjoy atmospheric evenings with friends and family. The kitchen retains a beautiful original stone floor and is equipped with modern cooking equipment - the perfect setting for a post-ski fondue or tartiflette.

The Lazy Labrador can comfortably sleep 5 - 8 people with the use of the traditional outdoor cabin. There are 4 entirely unique bedrooms, including a master ensuite with adjoining wet room, its walls lined in Travertine stone. There are 2 further bedrooms within the house and a traditional 'mazot' across the road from the house, providing a romantic sleepy hideaway for couples or teenagers wanting to escape 'family time'!

There are no formal parking spaces, but plenty of room for 2 or 3 cars - a little snow clearing may be require in the Winter months!

If you are holidaying with another family, we also represent Chalet Coeur - a short walk up the road - that sleeps 10 - 13. Our guests occasionally rent both properties to host larger groups of friends and family!

Upon confirmation of your booking, we will request your email address in order to provide you with our booking formalities (short tenant contract etc) and useful house / local information. This does not affect Airbnb terms and conditions. We also require a copy of the principal tenant's passport along with a list of persons and ages who will be present during the stay.

Please note: You must always notify us of any pets ahead of your stay! Only 1 small/medium well-behaved and house trained dogs are welcome on the condition that they do not climb onto sofas, beds and other furniture. They must be kept off sofas / furniture and not allowed in bedrooms. All dog litter must be picked up from exterior spaces. A €100 surcharge will apply if bringing pets. Puppies are not permitted and pets must be supervised at all times.

Please be conscious about conserving water, especially during the summer months. We are not connected to mains water, all of our water comes from a spring at the top of the mountain and we share it with other houses in the village. Shower as much as you like but please don't leave the taps running or use it to fill a paddling pool.

No smoking inside the house. Smoking and vaping outside is permitted but please dispose of your cigarette butts safely and responsibly - do not throw butts on the grass or in garden spaces.

You are welcome to read the books while you are here but some have sentimental value so please don't take any away with you.

The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area, with everything you will need to prepare and enjoy meals with your fellow holiday makers, with dining space both inside and outside, season dependent. If you would prefer to enjoy the local cuisine, an abundance of great restaurants can be found in Samoens. During peak season, we advise booking ahead and we’ll
provide you with recommendations upon arrival at the chalet.
The chalet sleeps a total of 9 people with four bedrooms, two located on each of the first and second floors. Bedrooms have been beautifully redecorated with maximum comfort in mind. On the first floor, you will find a double and triple bedroom, with the triple leading out to the balcony – a haven to enjoy with your book and a cup of coffee. Upstairs are two more double bedrooms, one of which hosts a cozy snug where the kids or gamers will find a play station and flat screen tv. All three floors have full bathroom and shower facilities and on the ground floor there is ample storage for skis or running/ hiking equipment.

You will be 2 km from the "Grand Massif Express," which takes you up to the ski slopes in 8 minutes. On foot, there is a shuttle bus every 20 minutes between the village and the Grand Massif Express.
