This beautiful 3 bedroom chalet in the quaint village of Verchaix, nearby to Samoens, has an open living area with fully renovated kitchen (dishwasher, oven, induction cook top and microwave), a comfortable lounge (local and satellite TV + DVD + internet +phone) and dining area with a cosy wood fire.
The bedrooms have lovely views and the chalet can sleep up to 8 people in 2 double/queen beds and 4 single beds. The main bedroom opens out to a private balcony with sensational valley and mountain views.
There are 2 fully renovated bathrooms, a ski drying room, laundry with new washing machine, dryer, a 300Litre hot water system and wall heaters throughout the chalet. Off street car parking is available for 3 cars.

Built recently Chalet Samburu is modern and comfortable over 3 floors. Entry level has sitting room, log fire, kitchen and dining area, bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Separate WC.

Downstairs has access to the large sunny terrace with TV room, 2 fully equipped kitchen, bedroom, shower room and laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

The top floor has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and double sofa bed.

Both kitchens have a dishwasher and large fridge freezers. The Chalet is very well provided with cooking equipment.

The garage takes most cars. Important if there is lots of snow! There is plenty of parking for 3/4 cars.

The large terrace faces south, with fantastic views and ideal for summer relaxation and BBQs.

The Chalet is superb in summer and winter, with easy access to the Grand Massif skiing area. In summer there is walking, tennis, swimming, rafting, zip wiring and riding, all within 5 minutes. The nearby beautiful historic town of Samoens has many shops,restaurants and bars. The Carrefour supermarket is less than 5 minutes away.
Geneva is 50 minutes drive and Calais 7-8 hours.

This beautiful area of Alpine France is easily accessible and in the winter offers 265k of ski runs throughout the Grand Massif, with the Porte du Soleil only 20 minutes away. The region is renowned for the beautiful historic town of Samoens, only 5 minutes drive from the Chalet. In spring and summer, the area is famous for it's alpine flowers, walking and cycling. For families the summer provides swimming in Lac Bleu, just 3 minutes away, tennis, zip wiring, riding, white water rafting and para ponting.
For the less energetic, Chalet Samburu has a large sunny terrace, where you can relax and enjoy the spectacular view with a glass of wine and the BBQ underway!

The chalet "Le Grenier des Hottes" welcomes you all year round in the "Grand Massif" ski area with its 265 km of pistes serving the resorts of Morillon, Samoëns, Sixt, Les Carroz and Flaine.

With its 70 m2, the chalet "Le Grenier des Hottes" is very cocooning. It can accommodate up to 8 people and benefits from:

On the ground floor: an equipped kitchen with dining area where you can enjoy fondue, raclette and plancha. A living room with an 8-seat corner sofa. WIFI and a bathroom / WC with shower.

At 150 meters, the Nordic area of Haut-Giffre. With its 60 km of slopes, you will discover magical landscapes between plains and forests all along the Giffre.

The Chalet is superb and is well placed with easy access to the local supermarket at Samoens (5 mins away), the Gondola up to Morillon 1100, Ski-Bus as well as local restaurants. We were met by Sandrine and Yann who kindly showed us around and left us with a welcome pack of goodies which was really appreciated. The chalet is very well equipped with pretty much everything you need and is finished to a very high standard. Off-road parking is also available at the rear. We really enjoyed our time here and wouldn't hesitate booking it again. Sandrine and Yann were most welcoming and we all had a really pleasant stay in Verchaix. Highly recommend."

The location

Chalet Cristal Morillon is a beautiful chalet set in the centre of its own large (1000 sq-m), private garden in a quiet hamlet on the sunny, south side of the Giffre valley in the middle of the Grand Massif ski area. It’s less than one hour from Geneva or an easy eight hour drive from Calais.

The chalet is surrounded by hedges on all sides making the garden very private and providing ample off-road parking for three - four cars. It's within 5 mins walking distance of bars, shops, restaurants and a superb bakery as well as the stunning Lac Bleu, which offers cross country skiing in winter and swimming, zip wires, trampolines and volleyball in the summer.

The ski bus stop is at the end of the road, less than 100 m away and it's less than 5 minutes drive to the télécabines at Morillon, Samoëns and Vercland. Further afield, Les Gets is only 20 minutes and Chamonix about 45 minutes.

The chalet sleeps nine people in four bedrooms, two of which (a double and a European king (160 cm wide bed) are ensuite). The other two bedrooms, which are a twin and a triple share a family bathroom. The triple room also has a TV / DVD player so it's ideal for children / teenagers. There is a further bedroom in the separate, self-contained, ground floor apartment ( HomeAway ref 8624117). The apartment also has a double sofa bed, sleeping up to 13 people in total. Booking the chalet and apartment together is perfect for larger family groups; it gives grandparents or parents of very young children the opportunity for their own space whilst still being very much part of the holiday.

The living space:

The chalet is entered on the first floor via the spacious double aspect kitchen. This floor is mainly open plan with the kitchen leading into a large living and dining area with a lovely wood burning stove, large smart TV and DVD player and seating for up to ten people.

The kitchen is fully equipped with new granite worktops, oven, new induction hob, microwave, large fridge freezer, and dishwasher and also has a fondue set, raclette / hot stone grill, Nespresso machine, kettle, filter coffee maker, cafetiere, toaster, electric hand whisk and hand blender, and a wide range of baking dishes and trays and cook books.

The living area is incredibly bright and sunny with south and east facing windows and two sets of double doors giving access to the south facing balcony and east facing verandah with views of the slopes above Morillon and the mountains of Criou and Buet. There is a wide selection of books, DVDs and games for all ages, with WiFi throughout the chalet.

The walls in the living area are clad in horizontal, unfinished wooden planks for a contemporary chalet style. Furnishings are also contemporary with large, comfortable, squashy leather sofas and original artwork by local artists. The huge coffee table, which is made from a reclaimed door, adds character and is perfect for board games and pre-dinner drinks and appetisers.

On the ground floor of the chalet is a large bootroom with heated boot cupboard, bench and plenty of storage space for skis and snowboards. In summer there is ample space for up to six bikes, whilst another secure storage area to the side of the chalet provides space for a further four bikes.

The chalet is child friendly with a cot, folding bed, high chair, stair gates, cutlery, plates, bowls and cups all provided. The garden is securely fenced and a couple of sledges are also available for use. There is a wide selection of DVDs, games and puzzles suitable for pre-school children upwards.

The bedrooms:

With its two king / double en-suite bedrooms and a further five single beds, the chalet is ideally suited for both families and also groups of friends with a mix of couples and singles.

The first bedroom is a double, with ensuite shower room, on the same floor as the open-plan living and dining area and kitchen. This bedroom has a 140 cm wide double bed, large chest of drawers and two bedside tables and faces west with beautiful sunset views over the Marcelly.

Stairs from the dining area lead up to the second floor which has a further three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The large south-facing master bedroom has a European king-size (160 cm) wide bed with a superbly comfortable mattress and topper. This room has contemporary solid oak furniture including a large chest of drawers and two bedside tables as well as the bed. There is also ample hanging and storage space. Walls are white / off white with some natural wood. The ensuite bathroom has a bath and hand-held shower, basin and toilet.

The south-facing triple with TV/DVD player, which is perfect for children or teenagers, is decorated in a contemporary pale grey and white colour scheme with matching grey furniture.

Finally a large twin faces north and has beautiful views of La Bourgeoise and the Joux Plane. This room is decorated in a calming pale green and white.

There is a large family bathroom with bath and shower and a separate washing machine / drying room under the eaves.

The bedrooms are all chalet style with some sloping ceilings and exposed beams; all bedrooms have ample storage space, a mirror, hairdryer and reading / bedside lights.

Outside space:

The garden area is laid to lawn and extends around three sides of the chalet and is fenced, making it ideal for youngsters to play safely.
There are a number of large trees which provide welcome shade in the summer and there are lovely views of the slopes above Morillon, Mont Buet and the Marcelly.

In summer, a hammock, two sun loungers and a seating area comprising a large three seater sofa, two large armchairs, all with cushions, and a low table as well as a 3 m parasol are all provided. There's also a large square table and parasol, seating eight, for al fresco dining.

There is also a charcoal BBQ and a brazier for late summer / early autumn evenings, when it starts getting a little bit chilly. For those looking for a bit more activity there's a slackline.

On the first floor covered verandah there is a table seating six, which is a perfect any time of year or day, but particularly in the morning as the sun rises and a bench and two armchairs and two stools. There's also a hammock chair, which is supremely comfortable.

Last, but by no means least, is a large, seven seater Canadian Spa hot tub, which is available all year round.

Changeover day is Sunday, meaning guests benefit from a fantastic, quiet last day skiing on a Saturday. We can of course be flexible, particularly in off peak season and can also offer short breaks. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Skiing easy to access and the chalet was very well equiped. Only down side, for a chalet that includes cleaning, there were rather a lot of "cleaning" tasks required, eg stripping beds, emptying rubbish bins, kitchen clean tidy and everything put away etc." - "We stayed at the house with two families of four and enjoyed it very much. Ferme Soujon sits above the town of Verchaix in the hamlet of Cossin and looks out into the valley across to Morrillon and Samoens with their gondola's providing access to the extensive Grand Massif ski area.

A great location for exploring the mountains in both the summer and winter months, with a short walk to forest footpaths and nature walks and min drive to ski gondolas.

The farmhouse has been renovated to the highest standards; marrying contemporary design whilst retaining many original features. The farmhouse is on 3 floors with 7 superbly finished bedrooms all with on-suites. The spacious living areas are ideal for large families and groups looking to enjoy both summer and winter breaks. With ample parking for 5 cars and a ski boot room, guests will have a perfect base to explore the slopes or just relax in the luxurious surroundings...

As you approach the property, you will arrive at the first driveway, located directly next to the house (with 3/4 parking spaces). There is another 2/3 spaces for parking further up the road on the other side of the house. For guests renting the entire property, there are 2 entrances (one at the top of the house on the first floor, leading directly into the main open plan living space) and the second directly off the first driveway, leading into the downstairs hallway and boot room/washroom/storage room (this is the entrance used majority of the time).

The property is split over three floors with two stunning living and dining areas, both with amazing views over the valley. Both living spaces also host stunning log burners that really kick out the warmth on those cold winter nights! The two balconies and the under the roof seating area, offer the perfect vantage point to sit and enjoy the mountains or even for guest to gather for al fresco dining (weber bbq provided for summer months). Both living spaces have smart TVs and there is wifi throughout the entire property.

There are 2 kitchens, both fully fitted with all the necessaries to make your self-catering stay as convenient as possible. There is also a utility room just off the first floor kitchen.

All bedrooms are fitted with high-end mattresses and luxurious bedding meaning a comfortable night's sleep at the end of the day!

The 7 en-suite bedrooms cater for 14 people (or 16 with 2 pull out mattresses in one of the smaller twin bedrooms… ideal for children).

Each en-suit bathroom has been fitted to the highest standard, all with fabulously large rain showers (and one bathtub in bedroom 5 for that much needed soak after a day on the slopes!)

Accessibility: The ground floor consists of 3 bedrooms (and en-suits), one kitchen, dining space and living space and a bootroom, making this compatible for anyone who might struggle with stairs.

The Moufflon includes 2 homes that communicate from inside the chalet. The first housing is composed of 3 rooms with double bed, a big mezzanine with BZ and corner playroom, an equipped kitchen, room of water with Wc and a big room to live with stove.

Sleeping ten guests in three double bedrooms and a family suite with double bedroom and separate wooden bunkroom, all rooms have en-suite bathrooms. There is the option of accommodating a further 2 guests by using additional beds in the 2 larger rooms.

With open plan and varied living areas, the chalet is the perfect retreat for friends and families in luxurious and relaxed surroundings. Would recommend for skiers in winter - less than 5 minutes from the chalet to the large free car park at Morillon placed right next to the ski lift, and it's easier to get to than driving direct to the higher resorts, with more choice of restaurants and cheaper ski hire.
