The apartment’s neighbourhood is located in a peaceful setting, away from the crowds and buzz of the cosmopolitan life. In a 10-minute drive, guests can soak up various aspects of nature at the Parco Figino and San Salvatore (known for its biking and hiking trails). Other attractions of the area like the bucolic village of Gandria, Monte Bar, Passo S. Lucio and the SwissMiniatur, which are a 10-15 minute drive away. For active vacations, there is a sporting centre in Tesserete with an outdoor swimming pool that can be reached in 17 minutes by car.
If you are looking for a lively and vibrant scene, then Lugano’s historic centre, with the beautiful Parco Ciani, museums, San Lorenzo Cathedral, and the terraces of Piazza della Riforma, is just a 15-minute drive away. A rustic cottage immersed in the heart of the Valcolla, the green lung above Lugano. Located at 1,243 meters above sea level, surrounded by woods and silence, the "Casetta nel bosco" is the perfect retreat for couples or small families looking for a break from the chaos of the city. A small escape in the countryside, where you can rediscover the slow pace of the days and the beauty of simple things, with the possibility of excursions along the trails, mountain-bike rides and trekking among the peaks (Gazzirola, Cima di Fojorina, Monte Bar...).
The space
A two-story cottage, surrounded by greenery and designed for those looking for tranquility and simplicity. Inside: equipped kitchen (without oven), dining room, living room with sofa bed (2 seats), bathroom with shower, loft with double bed. Travel cot for children available (with comfortable mattress).
The heating of the house is guaranteed by an efficient wood-burning stove, with vents that also bring heat to the upper floor.
Electricity from solar panels with storage battery and generator if needed.
Outside: large terrace with table, umbrella, and wood grill. The private garden offers deckchairs with soft cushions and corners for outdoor relaxation.
Guest access
The house is not accessible by car but through a wooded path that can be walked (15 minutes from the parking lot). The path is easy to access, and can also be traveled with a stroller/cart with large wheels.
Other things to note
• No Wi-Fi; however, the network works very well with all companies.
• The wood for the stove is provided by us, included in the rate.
• Hot water is supplied through an external gas boiler: refill cylinders are always present. Taking into account the particularity of the accommodation, we ask you to use hot water sparingly.
