Considered to be the purest, natural flowing river in the state, bring your fishing gear and kayaks. Listen to Pipwild Spring trickling over the mossy rock waterfall. Sit at the water’s edge under canopies of rhododendrons and holly trees, and sit at your campfire and view the stunning starry nightscape.

Our 4 meter canvas bell tent offers a cozy 132 sq ft of space which can accomodate a twin size mattress in addition to the provided queen bed.

- Extra wood (you can burn any fallen wood/twigs you find but don’t cut trees!
- Cooler
- Extra water (river water is pure but we always recommend boiling or filtering anything you drink)

Nestled on a private 1-acre lot with 180 feet of lake frontage, this charming site offers a unique lakeside retreat with exclusive access to a private dock with two kayaks and a lake mat for your enjoyment.

Located less than 10 minutes from the heart of Mentone, you’ll be close to local shops, restaurants, and outdoor adventures like DeSoto Falls, Little River Canyon, and several state parks. Whether you're looking for a romantic escape, a family getaway, or a peaceful solo retreat, this spot is perfect for nature lovers and adventurers alike.

Guests may enjoy the private dock and two kayaks available for guest use. The circular gravel driveway is gated. The site has a slope down to the lake with steps down to the lake. Please note that a neighboring friendly dog and cat may come say hello during your visit. There is wildlife in the area.

Lake Lahusage is a 29 acre lake formed on the Little River when a dam was built in the 1920s. The "Broken Dam" is a beautiful site down river. The property is near the beloved town of Mentone, known as the "Summer Camp Capitol of the World". Mentone's attractions and restaurants are often mentioned in Southern Living Magazine and other publications. The area is surrounded by natural beauty, scenic vistas, brow views and mountain crafts and art. Desoto State Park, Desoto Falls, Little River Canyon are all nearby in NE Alabama. Cloudland State Park, James H 'Sloppy' Floyd State Park, McLemore Golf Club, and Lookout Mountain Flight Park are all within driving distance in Georgia. Chattanooga, TN is approximately one-hour away for day trips.

Guest access
Guests have access to a 1-acre lot with private dock on Lake Lahusage. Guests may access the interior of the camper. Host storage cabinets are marked and should not be accessed without prior host permission. The deck box on the deck has amenities for guest use. There is a second deck box below the deck and a green storage shed. These should not be accessed without host permission.

*Guests understand that the camper is located in the woods and on a lakefront. Despite frequent cleaning and maintenance, Guests may still encounter insects and/or wildlife. For this reason, it is very important that Guests keep all screens as well as doors closed at all times to avoid entry of insects/wildlife. Food should be stored appropriately. The barbeque grill should be cleaned after each use. Furthermore, Guests are advised that weather events, power/utility outages, etc. may occur and are beyond owner's control. Refunds are not provided for such events. The camper does NOT have a back-up generator.
