The renters also have a dog so we felt more hesitant to let our dog off leash. I think they are planning on a fence to help with this issue. I could have reached out for more clarification but didn’t feel the need for my purposes. Also- the trail is very short. However, just down the dirt road there’s another trailhead if you feel the need for a longer walk/ dog walk. I enjoyed the place and it’s pretty close to Bandon and not far by car to the beach. Built in 1934, two years before a fire wiped out most of the town of Bandon, this rustic cabin is loved by many coastal vacationers. Except for a few modern amenities, this cabin feels just like it did all those years ago.

There is a five minute walk to beach accesses from the north and south of the house, but no private beach access from the house.

Everything about the cabin is cozy, with one bedroom and bath upstairs (including a queen bed and compact washer and dryer) and one tiny bedroom downstairs (also with a queen bed) along with a second bath and fully equipped kitchen. Located 3/4 of the way down the bluff, it’s sixty stair-steps from the parking area to the cabin, but it’s worth the walk: the cabin has private beach access a few more steps further down, shared only with one set of neighbors. The views from inside and out are as good as any beach views in Oregon; sit on the couch or deck and watch the surf crash into rock formations from Face Rock to Elephant Rock. The neighborhood is friendly and walkable. Lord Bennett’s restaurant is practically across the street, and the shops and restaurants of Bandon are all only a mile away.

- "Entering the Barton Cabin we were immediately struck by its charm and the breathtaking views. It is truly obvious how much love and care was given to renovate without losing any of the original warmth of the home. The kitchen is perfectly appointed, along with both bathrooms. Great big fluffy towels and high end fixtures. We loved the view from the second floor bedroom and the comfortable bed was made more cozy by the great linens not to mention the wonderful sound of the waves. We sat on the deck and reveled looking at the dramatic rocks and the waves, we relaxed on the couch in front of the electric fireplace in the evening and took many walks on the beach. At times it seemed like we were in our own romance novel. Won’t deny there are 50 plus steps straight down from the car to the house, but I guarantee the steps are absolutely worth it."

- "Last minute get away to watch our daughter play golf at Bandon Dunes. This place was so charming and perfect for a couple's retreat. It doesn't get much cuter than this and the front porch looking out over the marina and water is sublime. Great location with Bandon Coffee right behind the building and so many great restaurant choices within a few blocks. We were so bummed we didn't have time to sample more. Didn't receive the door code prior to arrival but even being after 9pm they were quick to answer the phone and provide it. Tiny hiccup. Bandon is a sleepy town and closes early so plan to eat earlier than you may be used to then walk it off through the town or along the waterfront or enjoy the sunset from the deck. Reminds me of old school Kona which I personally loved and miss. If you don't need a pitch black room and like to wake up to the morning light this room is for you. If not, just take an eye mask and you won't be disappointed. It doesn't get any more quaint, cozy, cute or perfect than the Bayfront Queen. FYI - There are other larger rooms if you need more space. Would absolutely stay here again and fell in love with the town of Bandon. We will be back!"

I don’t expect a fancy hotel room at their low price, just want something clean, quiet and safe. It’s right on the highway across from Ray’s grocery. Best value that we’ve found in Bandon. We will stay there again."

The smart home comes with all your vacation mandatories: hot tub, gym, sauna, and fire pits. You are only a stone’s throw from the world-renowned golf courses in Bandon. If golfing isn’t your thing, there is still plenty more to do - from horseback rides on the beach to hiking at Bandon State Natural Area and more.

The property has 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed and one outfitted with two queens. All mattresses are Nectar Premiums with extremely soft bedding sets. There is also a pullout couch. The kitchen is fully outfitted for all of your cooking needs!

The property has fiber internet and typically gets around 500 MBPS at its two state-of-the-art workstations, each complete with a 38” monitor, 4K camera, high-quality microphone, and ergonomic desk chair. Our Wander Concierge is also on standby throughout your stay.

PET FRIENDLY
This is a pet-friendly home. To adhere to the "Good Neighbor Policy," please remember to keep them on a leash to keep them and the neighbors safe when outdoors, and don't forget to clean up their waste. Pets are strictly prohibited in beds, indoor or outdoor furniture, or spa facilities.

The Neighborhood:
Our inn is nestled in the heart of Old Town Bandon. We're steps from the best dining, shops, and sights our community has to offer - not to mention just a quick drive from the world-famous Bandon Dunes Golf Course!

Getting Around:
Rideshare is available but cars are recommended for easy access. Because we are in the heart of Old Town Bandon, all the shops and dining are easily walkable.

Other Things to Note:
The Bandon Marina is currently under renovation and will be reopened in Spring 2024.

We'd be delighted to welcome you and your furry friends! We do have a pet fee of $85 per pet, per stay. :)

While our hotel offers a comfortable retreat, please be aware that the rooms are not fully noise-proof. Some ambient sounds may be heard, particularly during busier times.
