Secluded, cabin-themed home in a wooded setting. Home is at the end of the road, so it is very quiet with no traffic. Fairfield boat ramp just 3 miles away to launch your boat for fishing or boating, tubing and skiing, close to swimming area. Home has plenty of parking for vehicles and boats. There is a covered deck with grill on the back of the home, overlooking the fire-pit area and woods. If you enjoy nature, there is plenty to see and do. There is a Civil War Wall to view, and we have lots of butterflies, birds and hummingbirds. Just let us know if you are interested in any of these activities. Cabin that is lost in the woods and just up the hill from great fishing on Truman Lake. Get away to a location that exudes peace and quiet. This cabin has been in our family for many years and is my recharge location to go to every April and November. Short 1/8 mile walk down the hill to the cove or a very short drive across the highway to Higgins Landing boat launch. 15 minutes drive to Iconium, or 30 minutes to Clinton or Warsaw. We only allow pets on a pre-approved basis and no hunting or shooting at the property, but be on the lookout in the creek gravels in the cove for arrowheads. This area was a main Indian trailhead and several arrowheads have been found in the immediate area around the cove. If you need to make cell phone calls, simply walk/drive back up to the highway (100 yards) or the little corner store at Z and ZZ Hwy (3 miles).

We want to rent in summer and again in the fall to see how beautiful it is in all the seasons:)" - "The first thing I did when I got there was I put on a horror movie of kids getting butchered to death by zombies in the woods. I just couldn't resist. It's really good if you have dogs because it is in the woods, but there is a fence around the property. The immediate area has been cleared so you get about 50-100 feet of space to move around before dense forest. The cabin itself is nice and has internet and tv and power and water. Again, this is a hunting cabin, so it's smaller, but everything is high quality. When I go to VRBO cabins, I make sure it is far from civilization, so I love the seclusion, but be warned that you are about 15 minutes from the city, so don't expect to "walk home from the bar". Finally, as with so many other VRBO address identifiers, the GPS takes you to the back end of the property, where there is no access. My advice is to contact the host and ask for a screenshot of the gate, and match that up with GPS. Finally, and this is very important, the front gate is almost unrecognizable until you are about 5 feet from it. So plan to arrive during the day. I would recommend to the host to install some solar power light to identify the gate."
