The place is is airy & clean, looks like is may also be used as an office or commercial space by the looks of the exit signs and bathroom signage. Comfortable, clean and easy to self check in. The only downside is the lack of insulation/ sound proofing between the upstairs unit and this unit. Unfortunately every footstep upstairs is amplified and is alarming when you first hear it. I don’t think they were making extra noise, I think is was normal walking around. Possibly carpeting upstairs would help I don’t know. "

The Retreat is a cute 2 bedroom/2 bath unit which is located just one block back from the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The building is one of the last standing original structures from 1954 and has a charming feel as it is nestled against a 80 year old avocado tree and various strains of bamboo and other greenery. Out the back double french doors is a quaint little private area with a small table and BBQ under a pergola.Please note this unit is part of a multi-unit complex and has a 10PM-7AM noise restriction in place. Loud parties and or gatherings are not permitted onsite. Parents please do not allow children to run around and yell inside or outside the units as this creates disturbances to full time tenants living onsite. Thank you.

Now, here's the deal: If we catch you breaking the headcount rules, it's like a game of hide and seek – we'll find you, but we'd rather not! And if we do, it means you've breached our rental agreement. Sadly, that would lead to an unexpected eviction party (not the fun kind), and we won't be able to refund any unused nights. So let's stick to the guest list – your stress-free vacation starts here!

3. Keeping It Safe and Sound
We trust you not to harm our lovely space.

Our homes are equipped with exterior security cameras and NoiseAware devices. Security cameras are positioned at exterior entry doors. NoiseAware is an amazingly smart sensor that detects excessive noise, and gently caution the Renter to take down the noise a notch.

We find damage after you departure, we’ll share the details through the Airbnb portal.

- "Great place to stay, Kyle was very on it for welcoming us and staying in touch, (though we did it all through messaging). First thing you should know is that this cabin is very rustic. It hasn't had the super modern remodels that some places have. That being said, it's comfy and the bed is very comfortable and everything was super clean. If you plan to cook, there are not a lot of cooking pots and pans or utensils, which was fine for us since we basically just did coffee and bagels in the morning. Of course the best thing is that you are one block off the beach. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and would recommend this over some of the newer fancy more expensive places nearby. - Smoking Policy: All guest suites are non-smoking. Smoking products of any kind, including, but not limited to, any electronic smoking devices, are not permitted. Please understand that you will be charged a cleaning fine of $500 as a result of any damage caused by smoking inside guest suites.
- Pets are not permitted. This is strictly enforced, except for working Service Animals as defined by the ADA. Certified Support and Therapy Animals are not allowed.

When checking in:
Hotel Guests and Exchange Reservations:

- At the time of check-in, a valid government-issued photo identification is required that must match the guest name under which the reservation was made. A credit card for a $200 security deposit and a daily $19.95 plus tax resort fee will also be required (cash is not an acceptable form of deposit). Resort Fee includes pool access, fitness center access, business center/computer access, basic Wi-Fi, free laundry, local phone calls, onsite parking, access to the game room, and onsite activities (fees may apply for select activities).
- Please contact the resort before arrival if you anticipate your arrival time will be later than midnight (resort local time). Arrivals after midnight may be subject to cancellation.
