Also an extra sofa bed taking up most of the space in the lounge area. The place was being used to store excess furniture. At the kitchen island there were four chairs rather than stools which made it unusable for eating at or working at. Bed linen was clean but pillow cases and duvet cover all came from different sets. When I have called and written to complain I have received no acknowledgement or response. "

The biggest issue was NO HOT WATER for 3 of the 4 days of our stay due to the boiler breaking. The sofa had 2 cushions turned over as one was dirty and badly stained the other had 2 cigarette burns despite the apartment being smoke free. The deck outside had a tile broken as the tiles weren't placed on a flat surface and a caution sign on the door not to go out there. There were black scuffs on the walls and the fans looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years, despite the owner saying they were regularly cleaned and the seal on the fridge door was hanging off. Watch out for hidden costs, we were charged an additional amount as apparently we had an extra person staying we had 4 people and there were 2 double beds and four place settings/seats at the table. How does this equate to an extra person? There is no parking other than a week day daily fee car park about 3 mins walk from the apartment. I would NOT recommend staying here. The only positive thing I can say is the host was good with being reachable."

The apartment is being illegally let for short bookings such as this one and Airbnb. I took a photo of a notice to tenants saying this. I was terrified of being evicted. Hob did not work and dishwasher and washing machine needed maintenance to avoid being dangerous. Every mug was chipped and all the crockery, glasses and cutlery were odd. I felt embarrassed I had asked my family to stay."

This newly refurbished apartment has been completely re-modelled but manages to retain many of its period features and charm, from the high ceilings to the generous Victorian windows all married with concessions for modern living which make any length of stay a pleasure.
This studio has been designed around a one person stay so has a comfortable single bed which doubles up as a sofa and allows space for a table and chairs for studying or dining in the kitchen area. The kitchen is well equipped and has a sink/drainer, induction hob and an over hob extractor unit that ensures all cooking smells are vented out of the studio as well as a combination microwave/fan oven suitable for cooking pizza's to the perfect Sunday Roast!
This particular studio shares a toilet on the same landing with two other studios but has it's own shower for your convenience.
As with our other apartments great care has gone into choosing the interior fittings and we have made a special effort to ensure that everything you will need for you stay, from bedding to pots and pans to hair-dryers and ironing board….all provided for your use.
The flat screen TV is 40’’ and the picture quality is excellent, it’s mounted on a special bracket so as you can see it from where ever you are in the room.
The residence features a communal laundry room, with washing machines and tumble dryers, which although not free are heavily subsidized and you can wash a load from just £2.
Free Wi-Fi is included and the code is made available in the guests welcome book which you can find in the apartment, together with a host of other information which we consider you may find useful.


The W/C has also been refurbished, it is just meters away on the same landing and there is a choice of two, fully ventilated and shared with a maximum of two other studios.

Here is some information about our location.
Our studios and apartments are located in Croydon CR0 6HA, which is in the southern part of Greater London (zone 5).
Croydon is a convenient place to stay, and many people choose to live here and commute into Central London due to the reasonable cost of accommodation and the excellent transportation links.
East Croydon station is a major transportation hub and is easily accessible, just a 12-minute walk or 4-minute bus ride away (the bus stop is very close). Although there is no underground connection here, East Croydon Station offers a fast and direct overground link straight into the heart of Central London, it is much faster than using a crowded and hot underground train that stops at all stations.
Trains are fast and frequent, running every 7 minutes, and you can reach London Victoria Station in 15 minutes and London Bridge in 20 minutes.
A London-wide 24-hour travel card for use on any mode of transport from zone 5 is currently priced at £15.90.
We are well served by shops and supermarkets that are just minutes away (open until at least 10pm) and there are pubs, restaurants and fast food outlets too.
We are conveniently located near Gatwick Airport, which is just 15 minutes away by train, with trains running 24/7.
Luton Airport is also easily accessible, with a direct train route passing through the capital (and St Pancras Station) to East Croydon Station. The journey time by public transport is around 1.5 hours.
Heathrow Airport is in West London, and the journey time by public transport is around 1.5 hours.
Stansted Airport is in the east of the capital, and the journey time by public transport is around 1.5 hours.
If you are arriving at St Pancras Station, you can take the Thameslink train directly to East Croydon, it takes around 30mins.
