The Studio is a 2-person oasis in an adorable neighborhood with a babbling brook, where you can rest in quiet and watch the turkeys, deer, ducks, and squirrels. Alex (Sprout), a star of Building Outside the Lines and Cappie’s stepdaughter, redesigned the interior of the space. She has provided outdoor seating nearby under the trees, next to the brook that runs in the summer.

The Studio is located in the sideyard of an historic home in a residential area on the edge of Spearfish. It originally was the servants’ quarters, but was mostly used as a henhouse for much of the 1900s. In 2015, it was renovated as an office space. Then Alex remodeled it yet again for a vacation rental.

The family in the home enter and exit from the other side of the house (including the garage), so you will have utmost privacy.

The kitchen has most of the basic kitchenware/cookware/dining ware that may be needed to grill or cook. There are a few staples in the cupboard and fridge for your use.

Check-in is any time after 4pm the day of your scheduled arrival. Check-out time is any time before 11am, mountain time.

It is not necessary to meet anyone to obtain access or keys and allows you the freedom to depart according to your travel schedule. This unit has an electronic deadbolt with an access code. The code will be sent along with the check-in details.

This place is a bit of a drive to an from town, but it was a nice place to retreat at the end of the day. It was well-kept, clean, and we had no issues with anything. I would just note that neither the wifi nor cell service is particularly good. We brought some games to play, and enjoyed watching a movie on Dish. There’s a restaurant/campsite down the road where you can catch fish and have it cooked, and it was excellent! Highly recommended."

It is minutes from Spearfish Canyon, walking distance to the Spearfish City Park & Historic DC Booth Fish Hatchery, a 15-minute drive to Deadwood, a 20-minute drive to Sturgis, 1-hour to Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park and a 25-minute drive to all the winter sports the hills has to offer.

The kitchen has all utensils, pantry items, dishes and pots/pans you will need for your stay and a local, family-owned grocery store w/ spirits is located less than a block away for a quick trip to stock the fridge.

The kitchen has most of the basic kitchenware/cookware/dining ware that may be needed to grill or cook. There are a few staples on the shelf and fridge for your use.

Check-in is any time after 4pm the day of your scheduled arrival. Check-out time is any time before 11am, mountain time.

It is not necessary to meet anyone to obtain access or keys and allows you the freedom to depart according to your travel schedule. This unit has an electronic deadbolt with an access code. The code will be sent along with the check-in details.

Located near Lead/Deadwood with easy access to Sturgis (30min), Spearfish (30min), Rapid City (45min), Mt Rushmore (60min), and Crazy Horse (80min), to name a few.

Parking is directly at the end of the sidewalk which can accommodate up to two vehicles and/or trailers. Additional parking is at the southern end of the property.

This apartment is a newly renovated space in a historic building in the heart of Downtown Spearfish! Experience downtown living at its finest! We are only eighteen minutes from Sturgis and Spearfish towns, and 45 minutes from Mt Rushmore and all the Black Hills attractions. Also, you are just an hour and fifteen minutes away from Devils tower in WY.

On the other hand, if what you are looking for is a quiet place to finish your book or your personal project, this clean & quiet studio is the perfect place for you at any season. For your convenience, we are an hour from the Rapid City airport, from where you will be taking the I-90 all the way to exit 30. Take exit 30 for US-14A/Lazelle Street toward Deadwood/Lead. Continue on and enjoy the beautiful scenery on 14A for 9.9 miles towards Deadwood. Turn left on Mattson Lane gravel road and then after Whiskey Barrel Ranch main gate turn right on Majestic Heights road. Follow this road for a minute and it will take you to our Majestic Court Road, where our friendly bear will welcome you at the entrance. Continue on the gravel driveway where you will find a spacious place to park your vehicles.

AMENITIES
The Majestic Retreat Studio is suitable for four adults or a family of two adults with children. Our studio consists of a large open living area with a queen-size bed, a queen-size sofa bed, a wide screen TV, DVD player, videos, games and books for the avid reader. We can provide a single inflatable mattress for an extra guest for an additional fee.

The kitchenette has a refrigerator, a two-burner induction cooktop, toaster, coffee maker, a juicer, dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, pots and pans, basic utensils and condiments. The three-quarter bathroom includes fresh towels and toiletry essentials.

There is ample parking available for several vehicles or a vehicle with an attached trailer. Our gravel roads are well-maintained, but due to the gravel two-wheel road bikes are not recommended.

Guests will find the front entrance to the studio suitable for grilling or sitting down to enjoy the views. (Grill and lawn chairs are available upon request. There is $5 fee for the grill.)

Upon departure, we ask that guests wash their dishes, place sheets and pillowcases
in the laundry basket, and dispose of all garbage in the container placed near the entrance door.

Our Canyonview apartment has the feeling of a tree house as it sits above Spearfish Canyon. It is conveniently located at 309 Canyonview Lane, Spearfish, SD, a beautiful community close to all things Black Hills.
The apartment is a daylight basement with two bedrooms, a murphy bed, and one bath. One bedroom features a king sized bed and the other has a queen. The deck is under construction but it has a good amount usable!! We are available every day for short stays OR if you are a fairly quiet someone or someones :) who would appreciate this lovely apartment and view for a medium length stay through May, 2024 contact us. $1100 a month includes all utilities plus wifi. There is a washer dryer too! Tenant would need to scoop their own snow when we are out of town. No pets or smoking.

As a Superhost, we aim to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create beautiful memories in our cozy home while leaving it nice and clean for the next guests.

IMPORTANT: No smoking of any kind is allowed on the property as secondhand smoke can cause an asthma attack for the owner. This includes cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, vaping, marijuana, etc Should this rule be violated, guest will be liable for a minimum $250 charge.

Up to two dogs are allowed by pre-approval only with a one-time pet fee of $30. No cats, birds, rabbits, etc.

Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am.

General Damages
Please let us know immediately if something is malfunctioning so it can be rectified. All damages or missing items occurring during your stay will need to be paid for by you before departure. Cleaners check for damages and any missing items after each stay. Any damages or missing items can and will be billed to the guest.

Please do not leave any electrical appliances switched on when they are not in use, or when you are leaving for the day. This includes space heaters, air conditioners, fans, hair curlers/straighteners and

The space you are booking is for 1-2 people. More than two people are allowed in the home ONLY IF okayed by us before check-in. No one is allowed in the home not already specified before starting the stay. If guests are found to have had a party without host permission which results in extra cleaning, guests will be responsible for extra cleaning charges and in the unfortunate event of disruptions alerting neighbors, GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.

We may leave consumables such as coffee and small snacks for you to enjoy. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. However, ultimately, it is up to the guests' discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.

If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the authorities will be engaged, and GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.

If you need trailer parking, the property along Ames St is our parking and can fit 2 trailers. Otherwise, trailers must be detached and parked the same direction as other vehicles.

I have an Old English Bulldogge Charlotte, and a cat named Jewelz. My pets are not allowed in the guest units. Charlotte will be outside in the shared yard space from time to time. She is very friendly and we do our best to keep her out of your way. We do not leave her unattended in the yard. We are unable to accommodate pets as Charlotte is not keen on sharing the yard with other animals.

Quiet time is 10pm-7am as I do have young children. This doesn’t mean that you can’t check in late or come and go at any time, that doesn’t bother us at all. Just keep in mind we have sleeping little ones. My house is not quiet during the day as I do have two young children and a teenager. We do the best we can to keep the noise level down when guests are here, but you will hear us.

- The property is located in a very quiet neighborhood. No parties permitted. This is not a party house.
-The home is a triplex, three separate units with private entrances and keypad entry.
-There are two laundry areas in the building with easy access.
-The apartment is located on a narrow dead end street, If you are pulling a trailer, please note in your initial inquiry. Parking is not a problem, but it may be difficult to turn around at the end of the street. Please contact Debra to assist you with trailer parking. There is also a free city "Sherman Street Parking" lot at the base of the Michelson trail for Trucks, trailers , RV's and busses located a block from the apartment.

DEADWOOD EVENTS ARE THE BEST PARTIES AROUND

We didn’t make history being well behaved. Deadwood events are wild. That’s why the travel website Thrillist named Deadwood one of the best party towns in America. Rodeos, food and wine festivals, songwriters festivals, professional snowmobile racing, pub crawls, and big name concerts—there’s always something happening in Deadwood.

The discovery of gold in the Black Hills in 1874 set off one of the last great gold rushes in the country. In 1876, miners moved into the northern Black Hills. That’s where they came across a gulch full of dead trees and a creek full of gold…and Deadwood was born.

Practically overnight, the tiny gold camp boomed into a town that played by its own rules that attracted outlaws, gamblers and gunslingers along with the gold seekers. Wild Bill Hickok was one of those men who came looking for fortune. But just a few short weeks after arriving, he was gunned down while holding a poker hand of aces and eights – forever after known as the Dead Man’s Hand.

Calamity Jane also made a name for herself in these parts and is buried next to Hickok in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Other legends, like Potato Creek Johnny, Seth Bullock and Al Swearengen, created their legends and legacies in this tiny Black Hills town.

Deadwood has survived three major fires and numerous economic hardships, pushing it to the verge of becoming another Old West ghost town. But in 1989 limited-wage gambling was legalized and Deadwood was reborn.

We are delighted to welcome your furry companions! There is a $100 per stay fee for up to two dogs. Please provide a description of your dog(s) prior to arrival for pre-approval. We kindly ask that pets who shed be kept off the furniture and beds. For your pets' safety and comfort, we recommend using kennels while you are away for daily activities. If your dog barks while you are absent and disturbs other guests, alternative arrangements will need to be made.

Please note, any guest with a pet that has not received prior approval will incur a minimum $100 pet charge. Additionally, if excessive shedding requires extra cleaning, an additional cleaning fee will be applied.

Additional Policies:

Non-Smoking Property: Our property is 100% smoke-free. A $250 fee will apply if smoking occurs inside the unit.

Cleaning Fees: Your reservation includes two hours of cleaning time. If the unit is left excessively dirty, an additional $40 per hour will be charged for extra cleaning time.

Late Check-Out: A minimum $100 fee will be charged for late check-outs unless prior approval has been granted by the host.

City law requires dogs to be on a leash while outside and because there are other cottages on the property and potentially other dogs visiting with their owners, it is extra important that dogs be on a leash when outside. Dog waste must be disposed of and any damages or additional cleaning may incur additional fees. We cannot currently accept cats, birds, etc at this property.
-No Smoking or Vaping of any substances. If we find evidence of any kind of smoking or vaping in the property there will be a minimum of $250 added to your stay. The property is smoke free.
-Please respect neighbors by being quiet after 10pm and 8am. Our guests' sleep is important to us! You are in your own house with no shared walls so it is pretty easy to meet this expectation.
-If you choose to use the hot tub the hours are 8am-10pm. No drinks or food allowed for sanitary and safety. Please shower before using the hot tub. It is a community hot tub so please respect other guests who may be using it as well. There is no lifeguard on duty and by using the hot tub you are accepting responsibility for your own safety.
- Parking is allowed along the edge of the property on the gravel parking area. Please no parking sideways on the street or large trailers. If you need trailer parking, the property along Ames St is our parking and can fit 2 trailers. Otherwise, trailers must be detached and parked the same direction as other vehicles.
