This is Unit 5 of 6 apartments nestled in the bustling neighborhood of Green Island, Dunedin.

Every item in the apartment was carefully crafted by the designer to ensure an overall opulent Japandi style. High-quality materials are used down to the amenities provided during your stay. Well renowned Ecosa mattresses are used throughout, including the sofa bed, to ensure comfortable sleep.

The Dunedin City Council's free parking lot is located right beside the property. The bus stop to the city center is also situated right in front of the apartment building.

Many amenities are within a few minutes' walking distance, such as Fresh Choice supermarket, a medical center, restaurants (Macdonald's is under construction), takeaways, convenience stores, and gas stations, etc.

The space
Originally, the Stables were – as the name suggests – the ground floor horse stables of an attractive bluestone and brick residence built around the 1900s. With the retirement of horse traffic, the stabling became a basement storage area and was later turned into a one-bedroom flat. During more recent renovations, the original brick arches were once more exposed and restored to their former charm reminding us of the historical purpose of this space.

This studio room is accessed down a private driveway which runs off Bishops Place, a small lane just off Rattray Street. Private off-street parking for two side-by-side studios is provided right outside the rooms. Please note that the side streets in this part of town (which is located on a hill) are narrow - comparable to historic town centres in Europe.

We live out of town, some 20-30 minutes’ drive from the studios and therefore welcome a ballpark ETA if (or as soon as) one is available. While our check-in window is 3-9pm, we can usually accommodate at least luggage drop-off for earlier arrivals, and arrivals after 9pm may be possible as a self-checkin. Please enquire before booking. My place is close to the city and University with a great panorama of the surrounding harbour, hills and ocean. Restaurants and cafes are all within a short walking distance, only a 5 min walk to the main street of Dunedin - leave your car in the onsite car park.
