This charming, gated property is located on a secluded, quiet cul de sac on a 1/2 acre estate. Enjoy a private, park like setting with mature trees and an abundance of singing birds. During your stay in the detached Casita, you will enjoy three distinct outdoor sitting areas to eat your meals, practice yoga, view spectacular sunsets or just relax and unwind in the beautiful poolside area. The Casita is for the solo traveler seeking a peaceful, safe and quiet retreat or the couple looking for a romantic get away. Due to insurance liabilities, I am only able to accommodate adult guests. The Casita is being cleaned and disenfected according to the highest CDC standards and guildlines from VRBO.

Deborah's dinning recommendations (find them in the welcome pack) were good, especially Gaetano's Italian place: it's delicious and cheap Italian comfort food. I recommend opening windows in the evenings or when it's cooler outside. Getting to know Deborah whenever we wanted was vey nice. We even have some "souvenirs" that will hopefully flourish and last. This is about a 450 sq. ft. studio with a living room, bedroom and bathroom. There are 2 TVs one in the living room and the other in the bedroom. The living room has a futon which folds out into a bed and as you enter the studio you will find a coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, and a shelf with cups and mugs for the coffee, along with ground coffee. The bathroom has a shower, a toilet, and sink with a dispenser of shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower. After 2 guests the 3rd gets a guest fee and visitors are not allowed due to Covid-19. The lock code that locks and unlocks the door is provided by the guest upon booking.

This guest house is located in the hills of La Mesa, situated behind the front home, on an acre of property. It's the second floor unit, above a long term tenant. The area is quiet and peaceful, and set back from neighbors and the road. You'll take the long driveway up to the home, and park in your designated space. Upon entering using contactless, keyless entry, you'll take a flight of stairs into your home away from home. The first bedroom, with a double bed, is at the top of the stairs, loft style, with a clothing hutch. The bedrooms are on opposite ends, with the living area in between, providing nice privacy for couples traveling together.

Through the first bedroom is the door leading to the rest of the home. There is a patio overlooking the pool and property, which spans the length of the home, accessible from both bedrooms and the living room. The second bedroom, with a queen bed, closet, dresser, and smart TV, is at the far end of the home. The kitchen is well stocked to provide everything you'll need to enjoy home cooked meals, as well as a coffee station. The living room has a futon, with extra bedding provided in the hall closet, a smart TV, DVD player, games and movies available. The bathroom has a tub/shower, with towels, soaps, and a hair dryer provided.

You have access to a coin op shared laundry room. The pool is not heated, so typically not used in the winter. With an acre of property to enjoy, our guests are free to hike up and watch the evening sunsets, and pick fresh oranges and lemons from our fruit trees.

The furniture and bed very comfortable and the washer/dryer are really a plus. The outside photo shows the back of the house where the independent studio is located. Here are some features that are not in the VRBO listing: Parking right next to the unit (off the street); very private and quiet; full-size microwave; coffee maker; small (hotel room size) refrigerator; comfy lounge chair; brand new bathroom with nice storage shelves; small tv with Direct tv, ample closet space; hair dryer, curling iron, ironing board and iron. Everything was new and very clean. This unit is perfect for a couple. We enjoyed our stay very much."

This newly renovated 400 sq ft guest suite has its private entrance and parking separate from the main home on the property. Guests will enjoy the new sparkling studio with bathroom & kitchen stocked with toiletries, plenty of towels, fridge, stove, and microwave. A super cozy living dining space with a 50” Smart TV.

Sleeping: The queen bed fits two adults easily, and we also offer a full sized air mattress upon request.

TV: The Smart TV has access to streaming apps including Netflix, Hulu, etc.

Parking: The parking space available for Airbnb guests can fit up to two vehicles.

You have full access to the guest suite and its amenities. This includes the patio and parking for 1-2 vehicles in designated parking spot.
Other things to note
The guest suite is attached to the main house garage. We have made efforts to soundproof the space, and are of course observant of quiet hours, but some noise may be expected.

We are dog-friendly and have dogs of our own. While not the barkiest of dogs, there will occasionally be dog sounds on the property. Our dogs are kept inside the home with access to our fenced yard and will be completely separate from the guest suite and private patio.

Your dog is welcomed in our home as long as the house rules are followed. Please do not leave your dog unattended in the space unless they have a crate and are crate trained. Dog bowls, waste bags, and leash can be provided at no additional charge; please just let me know you need them and I will be happy to provide them for you! Please be aware that any damages that result from chewing, urination, or other types of destructive behavior will be met with a fee to replace the item.

We are adhering to Airbnb's cleaning protocols during COVID. A full description of our cleaning practices can be found in the house manual upon your arrival however if you have any questions regarding our cleaning practices before booking feel free to ask.

- "This place is in an ideal location. Close to major freeways that can get you anywhere in San Diego County in 30 minutes or less. One suggestion I would make is a ceiling fan would make a big difference and cut down on the use of the AC unit by circulating the air. " - "My son came to the VRBO with me to get settled in. I was the only one staying. As my son and I was looking at the place there was spider webs that they spray painted over instead of cleaning them off. Floor's needed drastic attention. Cabinets need a fresh coat of paint. Shower head was dripping and couldn't shut off. The Flannel Sheets were clean. My son would not leave me there. I had to find other accommodations. Called the owner to let him know I was not staying. He asked why. Shared with him what we saw. My son and I proceeded to call VRBO and was on the phone with them for over an hour with no help. I was not reimbursed any money although I disputed the charges. Was not happy with VRBO or the property."
