The location is perfect for anyone who values the convince of staying close proximity to the mountain.

Getting Around:

Mammoth offers a great for public bus system that runs regularly throughout the year. The closest bus stop is the Blue line stop #73 located at the bottom on the driveway along Canyon Blvd. After walking to the bottom of the driveway turn right onto Canyon Blvd and walk toward the mountain for about 100 yards until you come to Stop #73. The blue line does a continuous loop from the Village to Canyon lodge and back, leaving every 15 min. Look up "Mammoth Lakes Transit" online for a detailed map with departure times.

Other Things to Note:

The Mammoth Ski & Racquet Club complex is conviently located just a 10 min walk to the chairlifts at Canyon lodge or a 20 min walk down to the Village. Please note, the driveway from Canyon Blvd to the entrance of the complex is steep and can be very slippery in the winter. When staying here in winter months make sure to carry chains if your car does not have 4X4/AWD with mud/snow rated tires.

The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for cooking a delicious meal. Off the main living area is a full-sized bathroom with tub/shower.

We provide coffee, coffee filters, creamer, sugar, salt, pepper, and cooking oil. We also provide all linens and towels, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, soap, lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, dish soap, sponges, trash bags, firewood, fire starter, and matches. This condo is located in a part of town closest to the ski lifts, hiking trails and mountain biking trails. The condo is a 10 min walk to the ski lifts and a 20 min (1 mile) walk to the nearest shops/restaurants in the Village. The location is perfect for anyone who values the convince of staying close proximity to the mountain.

Getting Around:

Mammoth offers a great for public bus system that runs regularly throughout the year. The closest bus stop is the Blue line stop #73 located at the bottom on the driveway along Canyon Blvd. After walking to the bottom of the driveway turn right onto Canyon Blvd and walk toward the mountain for about 100 yards until you come to Stop #73. The blue line does a continuous loop from the Village to Canyon lodge and back, leaving every 15 min. Look up "Mammoth Lakes Transit" online for a detailed map with departure times.

Our condo is tucked up in the forest near Canyon Lodge base area providing walking access to and from the ski area. The condo is about 1 mile from the Village and 2.7 miles to the middle of town (Vons).

There is a great bus system in Mammoth that is free and will take you anywhere in town. The Blue line and Night Trolly loop from the Village to Canyon lodge every 15-20 min from 7:05am - 11:52pm. Stop #73 is the closest stop to our unit and is located at the base of the Mammoth Ski & Racquet Club driveway along Canyon Blvd. Check the Eastern Sierra Transit website for more details on the routs and times as they adjust through the year.

Other Things to Note:

As noted in the description, you will need to climb 2 flights of stairs to access the condo, we are 2 floors above the garage. There is no elevator, so it is not wheelchair accessible.

The road that brings you from Canyon Blvd to the complex (Mammoth Slopes Drive) is very steep. We highly suggest that all guests traveling to our condo in the winter months carry chains in their car at all times.

We truly felt at home and can’t wait to stay again! " - "The place is nice and modern. Kitchen is well stocked with supplies. Love the free ski locker located at canyon lodge so that we didn’t have to lug all our skis and boots back and forth. Also appreciated the covered parking in the garage especially when there’s a blizzard. The only issue we had was the fact the cleaners weren’t ready for the 4pm check in and because of it, some areas were overlooked and weren’t cleaned well. But these things happen and the host allowed us to have a late check out to make up for it. It is about 15mins walk to Canyon Lodge when the weather is bad and very difficult to do when there’s a blizzard as the path is slippery. Overall would recommend it."

- "Fine accommodations for 1 or 2. Easily accessible on first floor which means you can hear upstairs neighbors if they have heavy footsteps. My visit was in April during a warm spell with temperatures getting up into the mid 60's. The unit was very well stocked and clean except for the deck which needed sweeping from not being used during the winter. The pool was still closed for the winter season and the hot tub also closed for repairs that had not been completed. Overall I was happy with my stay and Claudia was very responsive."

Other Stuff We Need to Tell You:
Although your stay is in a newly modernized studio, the building itself was built in the 1970's.
There is a shared hallway that all guests access the lower floor condos. Please be respectful of other guests and mindful of noise levels when entering and exiting the condo during your stay. The building also has thin walls which lends itself to being able to hear next door neighbors and/or above neighbors walking around.
There are disposable earplugs provided next to the bed for your convenience. However, if you are a light sleeper, any condos located in Mountain Shadows is probably not the best option for your stay.

{STRICT} condo association rules state that dogs CAN NOT be left in condo without supervision. They must accompany you on all your outings. No exceptions. If there is a noise complaint made, you will be asked to leave immediately with no reimbursements made for loss of stay.

We love pets too, but unfortunately HOA rules do not allow renters to bring pets. Owners may have pets, but this exception does not extend to guests. We professionally clean the unit after every stay. However, we cannot guarantee the complete removal of pet allergens if a previous guest broke the rules and did not inform us.
If you have severe pet allergies, we recommend not booking this condo to avoid any risk.

Parking permits must be visible at all times (permits are located at the apartment entrance)

If you prefer to avoid the long lift lines at Canyon Lodge Area entirely, take Chair 25 or Chair 9 from the top of Eagle Express. This allows you to move across the Mountain toward Chair 3 and Chair 5 or to the top in just a 2-3 runs.

Other things to note
This unit is one of three units in the 4-Plex that is on Airbnb. The other unit is occupied by year-round residents. This makes for a nice, quiet and local feel. If you want to feel like you are living in Mammoth, this is a nice way to do it.

The space
This is probably one of the most unique rental units in Mammoth. The woodwork on the high ceilings is beautiful and it creates a vintage mountain vibe throughout the space. There is tons of space in this condo and it has a giant bathroom that is completely upgraded with a large shower. The kitchen has granite countertops, new appliances, and an open floorplan. Plenty of eating space with a breakfast bar and even more seating in the bar area.

When it's time to relax, there is no better place than The GOAT. There is a large TV in the living room with an even larger, super comfy couch. You'll love having a beer or a wine in the bar area with stained glass windows in the ceiling. The deck is a great place to take in some fresh mountain air and see what the weather is like.

When you are ready to go out to eat, just walk downstairs and go to John's Pizza Works. You are also within walking distance to a number of restaurants, shops, and bars. There is very little noise from the restaurant below and it closes at 11pm, so you there won't be any late night noise. The free shuttle stop is literally just outside. This really is a great place to stay when visiting Mammoth Lakes.
