There are restored fir-wood floors, new carpeting and new paint everywhere, and brand new electrical-to-code wiring. We are air-conditioned and have toasty heating for winter. Complete with designer and heirloom furniture, antique and fine oriental rugs, nautical pieces, and original paintings by local artists; our second floor hideaway offers peace and quiet, privacy, and off-street parking with views to local shops and restaurants. Set up for work-at-home, we have high-speed internet and a work station overlooking a quiet street. across the street is a shared workspace for those who need more privacy. New landscaping, a garden sitting wall and seating; and Asian garden art line the stone pathway to the entrance to our little haven. New for fall of 2022 is a Solo Fire Pit for use in the garden and new Adirondack seating for four. Privacy fencing aesthetically separates our home from the new house next door. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

- "There were multiple issues with this unit mainly pertaining to our access. There were multiple issues with the vacasa key pad and the code not working. When we arrived, the code was improperly regenerated and we were not able to access the house for more than 30 minutes. We were then given a temporary code (although not told it was temporary) and able to get in. On the second night we were also unable to get in to the house. We called again and were told that the new code we had been given had expired and we should have been given a back up key located in a lock box. The lock box was outside the door that was covered in ice leading up to it making it treacherous to access. This is apparently an ongoing issue with this unit and we had to wait another 30 minutes on the second night to get inside. The accommodations inside were nice overall, but there were a few issues. The designated parking space that we were given in the check in instructions was in use and the garage code did not open the other side of the garage so we had to park outside. The front door was covered in ice so it was dangerous to access. Additionally, there were not enough pillows and the toilet did not always flush fully. The wifi name that was posted on the wall was incorrect, but the password worked after guessing at which account it was. "

The Barn, situated behind our house, is located just a few minutes walk to the center of Manchester. It is a working studio setting with general living area on the main floor and a bedroom above in a loft. Hot tub, outdoor shower and outdoor space is accessible. Very clean, very fun space with ample room, comfortable bedding. Perfect for two. (Note: Bedroom Loft is only accessible via a spiral staircase).

The barn is a multi-use building with a work shop on one end, our design/marketing office on the other. When we checked in, all of the windows were open. Deducting one star because some of the windows in the space didn’t have a screen attached and since I was traveling with two small children, I was worried about them. Welcome to "Above the Mat"! They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, and once you open the door to our condo and experience its surroundings, you'll log another life experience that proves that true. Nestled in the heart of the beautiful green mountains of Vermont, lies the iconic Manchester Laundromat, and above it, our newly renovated 1,000 square foot 2-bedroom condo available to you while you experience everything Manchester Vermont has to offer.
The space
As soon as you enter, you'll be greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. The condo has been recently updated with all new furniture, appliances, decor, and all lofty, ethically sourced, hypoallergenic RDS certified down and feathers comforters, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Start your day off right by waking up to the delicious smell of freshly baked donuts from Willoughby's, just downstairs. You can choose to enjoy breakfast there, across the street at Starbucks, just up the road at Up For Breakfast or at one of the many nearby restaurants, or make your own in our fully equipped kitchen. With a full refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher, you'll have everything you need to make your own meals.
Other things to note
The condo features two bedrooms and can sleep 6 or more guests comfortably with a sleeper sofa in the living room. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and plenty of closet space for all your belongings. The second bedroom has a full-size bed, a twin trundle, and a twin bunk. All rooms have large windows that let in plenty of natural light and offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
