- "Wrexford Cottage is the best! My husband and I have stayed here twice now, and it only gets better. The listing is accurate and the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s better in person. The apartment is cozy and had everything we needed to cook meals at home and relax. The small reef was perfect for snorkeling around. I’ve snorkeled all over Bermuda, and this is some of the best. We saw all kinds of fish - schools of Parrot Fish, balloon fish, squirrel fish, and a spotted eagle ray are just a few of the things we saw! Ralph and Julie are excellent hosts! We left here refreshed and feeling as if we made new friends. This place is purely magical!"

- "This is a lovely studio in a quiet part of the island. Kacey and Diana were great hosts - always available and helpful. The view from the property, especially at sunset, is terrific. I highly recommend exploring Hogs Bay Park, which is a just a few minutes walk from the apartment. The stretch on the water is pristine. Highly recommended for fit, DIY travelers." - "Kasey & Diana were excellent hosts. Property had excellent views and hot tub was clean and functional. Couple things to note is if renting a scooter the terrain is very hilly so be careful if this is your choice. Also, there is no direct beach access from property so if that is your preference you will need some transportation. Otherwise we had an excellent stay and will book again."

Guest Reviews:

- "arrived Sunday. Loved the property. With the threat of Hurricane Fiona getting stronger, we chose to leave Bermuda on Tuesday as our departure flights were on Saturday. We are all from coastal NC and veterans of hurricanes. The house here would certainly have been safe, it's the aftermath than we did not want to be in. But our short stay was wonderful, we had a taxi take us to all the places we wanted to see before taking a flight out at 3:20. Would love to go back to this property, but maybe in the spring, no more in the hurricane season for us."

NEARBY BEACHES

PARSONS BAY (6 minutes walk) is a little off the beaten track, but it's well worth the effort to reach this secluded, sheltered beach on Bermuda's West End. The beach has coarse, white sand and shallow, calm water that's perfect for swimming and splashing around with the whole family. There are no restrooms or other facilities here, making it a less visited spot that's great for travellers seeking out tranquil beaches.

BLACK BAY BEACH AND PARK (5 minutes walk) is a string of three tiny coves with beaches that come and go with the tide. Bring a lunch and enjoy the peaceful views from the picnic table. The waters here are shallow and calm, and you can often find colourful sea glass scattered along the beaches.

SNORKEL PARK BEACH (17 mins walk or 4 mins by bus) Spend a relaxing day swimming and snorkelling in the crystal-clear lagoon at Snorkel Park Beach, part of the Royal Naval Dockyard complex on the West End. Snorkel Park Beach has everything you need for the day – from a beach bar and restaurant to bathrooms, lockers and water sports rentals. It's open every day, and Sundays often feature live music and family-friendly events. A few evenings a week, Snorkel Park transforms into a nightclub called Club Aqua, with drinks and dancing for the 18-and-up crowd. Admission charged for entry and can be crowded when the Cruise ships are in port.

SOMERSET LONG BAY AND NATURE RESERVE (7 minutes by taxi, twizy or moped) is a secluded beach and incorporates peaceful walking trails and a nature reserve. The family-friendly park has a playground, bathrooms and picnic areas, while the surrounding reserve has trails to freshwater ponds that attract migrating birds during the spring and fall. The area is managed by the Bermuda Audubon Society, which has worked to replant native trees like Bermuda cedar and palmetto. Along the coast you'll find a nice stretch of beach that rarely gets crowded, with calm, shallow water.

HORSESHOE BAY BEACH (20 minutes by taxi, twizy or moped -alternatively #7 Bus outside property takes you directly there ($2.50 if you buy a book of 15 tickets). Popular Horseshoe Bay Beach is a favourite with tourists. Guest Reviews:

- "We stayed in this beautiful home for our Surprise Wedding festivities. The home was absolutely beautiful and spacious. We needed a space that would accommodate enough people without being too crowded. The home had a private dock for intimate picture taking and private alone time near the ocean. My only regret is not being able to jump off! The staff were friendly and keen to answer the 1000 questions I had. Overall the experience was wonderful and my wife and I will be back!"

Guest Reviews:

- "This vacation rental was perfect for our group. The rooms of this unit overlooked the ocean. We had everything to our comfort. Walking distance to Dockyard with restaurants and some entertainment. We would definitely stay there again in the future." - "Restful, clean, lovely view, very spacious. (be a little careful on the stairs.)" - "Sea View at Prince Albert Terrace was a perfect getaway in a quiet part of the island. The contemporary decor and minimal clutter allowed us to really enjoy the space. So big and bright with lots of natural sunlight. We loved having coffee each morning at the shared dock and snorkeling right off of it. Convenient walk to Dockyards, Glass Beach and the 17th century Sailor's Cemetery. We appreciate the quick change of plans so we can extend our stay another 3 nights. Very responsive to our emails. I'd recommend this for a family that is looking for a quiet side of the island. We rented scooters and loved riding around the island on them with our family."

- "Our stay was very good. The property is clean and maintained. The host was very responsive, and the property manager, David, was kind and offered great suggestions. The location is remote, so ready yourself for expensive airport transportation, but buses and dock area balanced things out. Would recommend and stay here again." - "We had a lovely time. The house was very nice and casual, which we like. The Bermudian's were nice. The local food was good."

Guest Reviews:

- "The studio fit our needs perfectly. We wanted to get out and see the island. We were able to use the bikes to ride up to the Dockyard and the Railway Trail entrance is a short ride from the studio. The bus stop is right outside the studio and the ferry is only a short walk. We were provided transportation tickets for our first ride so we didn't have to worry about where to buy the first ones, and the post office only a short walk away sold more. We were provided a Google Map of different activities/restaurants across the island which was very helpful. There was also a cute courtyard with the studio which allowed us a relaxing spot to enjoy the outdoors without going anywhere."

Guest Reviews:

- "We enjoyed our stay. The Stunning Sea View was very nice. It was close to the Dockyard which had restaurants , shopping and access to the ferry’s to Hamilton and St George. There were several beaches as well as swimming off of the dock. It was as described except one bedroom had twin beds and it showed all queen size beds." - "We really enjoyed our stay. The unit is part of a larger building with other like units. They take good care of the property and building - seemed to always doing work on the outside. The unit was quite spacious with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths so each couple had their own space. (We had 3 couples.) there was a large common living room, dining area, and kitchen with lots of seating. We had breakfasts and some dinners in the unit which was good to keep costs down. I Was told just days before our arrival that one bedroom had twin bed, rather than the queen bed that was advertised (again, we had 3 couples). For other things, they were responsive. I was able to email the concierge when we needed things and they delivered them within 24 hours. With that said, we were very surprised that the unit had not been fully stocked and replenished when they cleaned between renters. We had to ask for bowls and plates (we had 4 bowls and 5 plates for 6 people), dish washing soap, paper towels, regular towels (they gave us 1 each for a 6 night stay), laundry detergent so we could wash our 1 towels, etc. We could not buy anything on our own bc you can’t have a car so you can’t go the grocery store. that was very surprising and a bit disappointing. But overall, it was a great unit. - clean, well kept, large, quiet yet accessible."

The historic Keep Fort presides over one end of the beach; dip into the shallow reefs and you’ll find sunken cannons and a variety of colourful fish.

Guest Reviews:

- "Modern and clean. Great space for our family of 6. Close to ferry and bus transportation. We were able to explore the whole island. Loved the location with the deck and patio area that you can get into the water at. Across the street is a short walk to the beach! So quiet and private off season! Only downside was since we stayed off season there were limited ferry rides only to Hamilton. We took the bus all the way to St. George versus we intended to use the ferry. Suggest stopping at the post office on the way in to get bus passes to be able to take the bus to the food store- 2.5 miles away. Would definitely stay here again!"

- "We thoroughly enjoyed staying at your Oceanfront property. You need to improve the tumble dryer in your laundry room, which didn't work for us." - "Loved the home and location. Only suggestion is more information on water access should be given. Ladder was broken and several days we did not use water because of lack of information."

Guest Reviews:

- " I planned to work remotely while on vacation, so having a reliable internet connection was crucial. However, after checking in, I discovered that I couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi. On top of that, there was no cell phone signal or TV service due to the lack of internet. In other words, I spent three nights in total frustration, without TV, cell phone, or internet access, making it impossible to work remotely. After about 20 attempts, I finally reached the site manager, who informed me that since it was late in the afternoon, they couldn't send anyone to fix the issue but promised to send someone the next morning. Unfortunately, no one showed up, and I was left completely disconnected for the rest of my stay, in total darkness, until I returned home today."

The historic Keep Fort presides over one end of the beach; dip into the shallow reefs and you’ll find sunken cannons and a variety of colourful fish.

The historic Keep Fort presides over one end of the beach; dip into the shallow reefs and you’ll find sunken cannons and a variety of colourful fish.
