- "Nice stay, enjoyable vacation." - "My husband and I chose this studio for the smaller size (it was all we needed) and the location! We were there on a family trip with my son's family and in-laws. We just needed a small place since we decided we would congregate at my son's unit. We were just steps away from the pool and beach, which is where the family was the majority of the time. Every morning we had coffee on the lenai and listened to the birds and ocean waves (we could see the ocean from our second story location). It was so peaceful and quiet even though the main walkway was right outside our unit. Joan was very responsive to our questions and the Studio itself was clean and well appointed. We would not hesitate to stay in this unit again and as for Wailea Ekahi Village ~ it exceeded all expectations! Wonderful snorkeling right off of the beach (we swam with turtles every day!), close proximity to shopping, groceries and easy access to the walking path along the coast that takes you past all of the larger resorts. - "This was essentially a bad hotel room advertised as a condo." - "It was chilly and rainy during my stay. Even Maui can get chilly in January. There were no real blankets in the condo, just bare sheets and a couple of couch throws that only covered the foot of the bed. No extra blanket in the closet. I asked the owner to get me a real blanket because I was cold but she told me that another blanket was “not available” I was cold for 2 nights and then left before my reservation was finished and found a hotel room where I could be warm. It was completely unsatisfactory. I have asked for a refund."

The Maui Bus is cheap and has many stops no matter where you are going, but does take a long time to travel this way. A rental car is highly encouraged.

We supply TP for each bathroom, a roll of paper towels, hand soap at sinks, a little laundry soap, and a new sponge. This is enough to get you started. If you are staying more then a couple days you will need to pick up TP, etc as needed.

GUEST RENTAL AGREEMENT –

1. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT - Check-in time is 4 p.m. Hawaii time & Check-out time is 11 a.m. Hawaii time. Late check-out will result in an additional charge unless arrangements are made IN WRITING.

2. NO SMOKING - This is a NON-SMOKING unit.

3. NO PETS - Pets are not permitted

4. Hawaii State Taxes: the tax rate is always subject to change, by the State of Hawaii. We are mandated to collect these taxes and pay them. Therefore, if the tax rate changes prior to your dates of stay, we will need to collect any additional taxes due prior to your arrival.

5. CANCELLATIONS - A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation of a reservation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations made within sixty (60) days of the arrival date may forfeit the full advance payment. Refund eligibility and processing times may vary depending on the platform through which your reservation was made (e.g Airbnb, Vrbo, or direct booking). that result in shortened stay or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. We recommend trip insurance to protect against unforeseen cancellations or changes. If you are due a refund, a 9% fee will be charged due to credit card charges. A refund will be issued within 72 days (M-F). We have no control over the amount of time the credit card takes to issue the check.

6. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY - The maximum number of guests for the agreed upon rate in this unit is five (5).

7. INCLUSIVE FEES - Rates include a one-time clean linen/towel setup. Maid service is available at an additional cost. If you are interested, please let us know in advance. However, laundry/dish soap and enough paper products to last a few days are provided. Guests must purchase additional paper products as needed but need not re-stock at check-out.

8. RATE CHANGES - Rates are subject to change without notice but will not be changed on any reservation already confirmed.

9. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS - Any reservation obtained under false pretenses of any kind will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in. If discovery of false pretenses are discovered after check-in, party will be evicted without a refund of any monies.

10. PARKING – Parking is not assigned (look for parking at buildings 2&3)

11. RULES - In addition to the conditions of this Rental Agreement, guests are required to obey any rules put forth by the resort. Pay particular attention to the rules posted in the Pool area regarding food and glass.

12. PERSONAL BELONGINGS - Tenants shall be responsible for their personal belongings and agree to hold the Owners harmless for any loss due to theft, or damages to or by them while occupying the unit.

13. INSECT CLAUSE: Hawaii has one of the most enjoyable ecosystems on earth, and insects are a part of that system. We try to control this natural occurrence by regularly spraying for insects. The most common pests that may find their way into the property include ants, small beetles, gnats, mosquitos, geckos, and even cockroaches. Naturally, it is a good idea to keep the doors closed while enjoying our island, but that will not necessarily eliminate all occurrences of insects. We do not offer refunds or adjustments for pest control issues. If you notice a problem, please call Holly so we can handle it.

By booking with us, each adult guest acknowledges that they have read, understand, and will abide by the terms and conditions of this Rental Agreement.

There are several restaurants and beaches within walking distance however we always recommend renting a car to visit all of what our amazing island has to offer.

Our baby essentials are provided through Nokaoi Baby Rentals. Please visit their website at nakoibabyrentals to arrange your rental. You will pay them directly for the rental and they will deliver the item to your unit.

We recognize the importance of a good night's sleep. We use the same mattresses as the Four Season Resort for extra comfort and rest. The "Pillow Bar" has three types of pillows for guests to choose from that cover possible allergies and softness preferences.

Communication is one of our strong points. Our team is happy to offer suggestions on all things Maui. Vistas Vacations guests receive complimentary concierge tips on places to see and experience on the island and our team is on hand to offer any information during their stay. Our professional cleaning care team have been trained properly to follow all CDC, VRHP (Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals) and VRMA (Vacation Rental Management Association) guidelines and protocols. The employees have trained on proper cleaning techniques, including how to properly sanitize and disinfect various surfaces. In addition, all linens and towels are washed at high temperatures and an extra-long cycle to ensure proper sanitization. There is additional fee of $50.00 to cover the added sanitation to the unit per stay. You will see this in your total fee.

Guests who are checking in the same day as a guests check-out (back-to-back), the check-in time is 5 pm to meet COVID-19 cleaning requirements.

The famous ocean walking the path in front of the Wailea hotels is only a short stroll down Keawakapu Beach.

Keawakapu Beach is perfect for children with its gentle surf and was also voted the Most Romantic Beach on Maui. The walk from 48-D is minutes till your toes are in the sand! Enjoy sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling. Scuba lessons are available on Keawakapu and stand up paddle boards can be rented just down the beach. Towels and beach chairs are available in the condo for your days in the sun.

From November to May watch the whales play.

The Village consists of 35 acres of beautiful tropical grounds with two-story, low rise buildings. No elevators or giant parking lots. There are three 'quiet' pools, one of which is near our condo. The main pool is next to the beach. This pool has a beautiful pavilion which is complete with a full kitchen and BBQ grills. Pickle-ball courts and shuffleboard are also available for your use on the property.

Walk on the sand to fabulous restaurants, but don't forget your flip flops!

Golfers: Ekahi Village is across the street from Wailea's Blue golf course and a short drive to the Gold and Emerald. Makena's course is only a bit further south.

Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them.

IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

Quiet Times: 10:00pm to 8:00am • This unit is a non-smoking unit. Smoking is only allowed in posted designated areas, never on the lanai. • Park in designated spots or areas noted in arrival instructions. Resorts will charge additional fees and tow cars at guest expense. • NO items can be left on the lanai. This includes, but not limited to beach chairs, towels and coolers. • Please be advised that the use of spray sunscreen and tanning oil products inside the condo and on the lanai is strictly prohibited. • Please help save our beaches. This studio apartment is clean and charming, and walking out to the deck is like walking into a jungle. Very private. The condo grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the golf course is just a few steps away. When we got tired of the crowds at the beach, we came back to the community pool which was clean & peaceful. It is a very short drive to some very nice beaches.

Loved staying here for our first visit to Maui. We stayed for 3 nights and found it to be quite spacious and comfortable. It was clean and fairly quiet with good access to amenities. We had a car and therefore it was super easy to get around, I'm not sure how you would go without one - but there were a few restaurants and shops a short walk away and the beach wasn't too far either.
